When my…read morefriend and I arrived for our tour, we had to wait for about 10 min because there was only one person at the counter and she was assisting someone who actually walked in after us. But nonetheless, once Abby was done she gave us a tour. She went over the entire layout of the gym and explained classes and how the 21 day trial works. Of course, she explained that the prices that were currently going were only for that day and advised us that they could go up once trial is over. Abby gave great customer service and the quality of time she spent answering our questions was worth the wait. We attended a Zumba class with Necole. The class size was small enough that I could see the instructor. Necole was an amazing instructor. She was encouraging but not pushy. You could tell she truly loves to engage her class. There were moments of laughter and opportunities for water breaks. Cuz boy, did I need a few of those! Overall this was a great gym experience and I look forward to making my physical health a priority if the membership rates are what I need them to be when I finish the trial.

I enjoyed my time off from the grind by spending time with DEAR friends and Dropping In at a quality CrossFit gym like CrossFit Simplicity. The drop in process was great (and I got a shirt). The owner, Daniel, was professional and helpful. I worked out with the community 4x. This included one 5:30pm, 2 5:30am and one partner WOD. It was a great way to stay on track. The gym is spacious, the equipment organized and clean. The coaches were excellent. There is a shower with towels as well towels for the million burpees we did that week!!!! You know that nervous feeling you get during the partner work out? Not a problem here! My partner was accommodating and supportive of the "Old Man". CrossFit Simplicity is well run gym and very inviting. When I come to visit my friends, knowing CrossFit Simplicity is a 17 min drive from Graham to Burlington, makes visiting a lot more convenient. Well, don't you worry! Daniel, Maryann and Felicia are the best. They take their time to teach you and make sure you are doing everything right. I am like a crossfit dummy, so everything is still so new to me, but they've been so patient with me and I love the fact that they encourage and motivate everybody like non stop! I've been going to 5:30am class everyday and I absolutely love it. I had to cancel my membership because Gold's Gym tried to charge me a $50 fee claiming I allowed…read moresomeone to enter with my digital key tag. The camera shows me scanning my card while a woman I don't even know opened the door before I did. They said that meant I allowed her to enter using my pass. What exactly was I supposed to do--stop a grown adult and tell her to scan her own card? I don't know this person and can't control what someone else does at the door. I called and spoke with the GM, Nicholas, who said he would look into it, but I never heard back from him. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my bank to get my money back. Now they're trying to charge me $50 plus a $25 return item fee, for a total of $75. I have never missed a payment since opening my membership in 2023. This whole situation is ridiculous and very disappointing.

The on site staff, including the…read moreAGM and the GM do their jobs well as far as I can tell, but their hands are likely tied with regards to what they have the ability to do with regards to the issues mentioned in this review, so it's my opinion that the in site staff are not to blame for the problems mentioned in this review. This facility has several pieces of popular equipment are way too often broken down for extended periods of time and can't be used. There are also several pieces of equipment have the vinyl padding that has worn and cracked and needs to be replaced. Sadly using this equipment with the worn padding tends to irritate the skin. Not sure what the reason is with such long delays in keeping their equipment in a working condition other than maybe those is charge are stringing the repairs along until the time comes to actually replace the broken equipment, and if that's the case then that's very poor gym management by those who are actually in charge of this particular facility. While the facility GM is technically in charge of the operation and maintenance of the facility they definitely are not the reason this particular gym seems to be falling into disrepair, the issue is someone past the GM level. This facility needs to get on the ball and bring it up to standards that the other lical PF seems to have.
