It was great to visit yet another new YMCA location for me. The people at the reception were very kind about helping me find my way around it. It is pretty large. My favorite part was the basketball court. The service requested was on point as all of their machines were fully functioning. The quality of the locker room was good too. Baby girl does karate here and this is a nice facility. The gym, playground and basketball court is nice! There is so much to do here and plenty of parking. I am not sure how much a membership costs but the staff are all very kind! read more

Nice folks, new women's showers and good senior programs. I do understand that some folks are put off by the summer camp programs..but, I was once lucky enough to attend the summer programs in Durham in the 60's. That's what the "Y" has always done. There's nothing like "Youth". Showing some patience, kindness and remembering youth! It's just for the summer. I am happy to see they still value "all" ages. Best $ spent. read more

I chose to join the YMCA because my father helped make it what it used to be. Regretfully it has gone downhill the showers need to be cleaned professionally and when I told the gentleman at the front desk, he said he would get on it a week later just keeps getting worse, I told him again he said he was gonna do it. He never did the swim team take over half the pool and even when they're not using the lanes they have roped off you're not allowed to swim in them and when I tried to swim in the lanes when nobody had been in the lane for half an hour I was told disrespectfully no, you can't swim there, I said I'll get out of the way as soon as your swimmers are ready and she said in a harsh tone to get out of the lane 10 minutes later still nobody had swam in the lane. When I told the gentleman at the front desk that I was going to cancel my membership he didn't even ask why he said OK. Being apathetic is no way to run a YMCA. I really hope you can fix it and if you can, you've got my number YMCA call me. I'll come join again, but you probably need a new manager and you need to tell the swim team to be more flexible and you need to clean that nasty shower. read more

I lost my job in August of 2023. I could keep up with my membership until spring of 2024. I signed up for a hardship accomondation through Payton and Patrica granted the hardship membership. The hardship membership is for 12 months. 3 months into the 12 months Patricia cancels our membership. I though this was a Christian organization that values honesty and Christian ethics? I called last week to see what can be done and Patricia said she would see what she could do and eoither pAyton or herself would call me Monday. When I didn't hear from either one of them, I called and left several messages. No one has called me back. I'm confused about such practices and behaviors. read more

This review is about the athletics and the recreation league for basketball. it's very unprofessional to allow older kids to play in lower leagues. It's not fair to the correct age group. Talent level, maturity and physical Superiority due to size all are due to age. To allow a 14 year old to play in a 13u league is just sad. We as parents sign kids up to play in a certain age group and trust the ymca to have it correct. It's just sad what the rec league has came to. read more

I have my membership here for 5 or 6 years. It got to the point where I didn't enjoy going the staff was rude and the locker room was always dirty. They have a locker room that you can use for adults only, but it's quite a bit more expensive than the basic locker room. When there are basketball games or volleyball games the locker rooms are full of guests who are there to watch the games. They are going to use the restroom in there so there's not much privacy for changing. And oftentimes, the floor is soaked from the children changing after being in the pool so make sure you bring extra dry socks in case you step in their puddles. My husband refuses to go anymore as he says the men's locker room is absolutely disgusting. I also don't enjoy their business practices. I called a month ago to cancel my membership and was told I had to come in and sign a form. When I went today to sign the form I was told it would be another month as they took 30 days after you sign the form to stop the bank draft. So it's like being forced to keep your membership an extra month. I would avoid this gym if at all possible. The only positive is they do have a pool and they also have racquetball courts. read more

Absolutely love this gym! They have a great child watch program with very friendly people all around. My oldest goes swimming in the infinity pool. And my husband and I love the treadmills! Really great hours too...Can't wait to try out the sauna :) read more

HORRIBLE SUMMER CAMP! Trust me, do not go! You will be disappointed! Not enough "adult" counselors for the younger children. Felt weary everyday my child went... they do not care about your kid... the items you send...the questions you ask are brushed aside... the courtesy of letting you know where your child will be traveling to for a field trip...the fights i witnessed in the mornings when no one is with the kids... front desk does not know anything about the camp... disgusted and will never return... please do not waste your money!!! *Stick to being a gym, do not have summer camp unless you can guarantee us parents the level of safety and communication for our children, we deserve!* read more

This is the best gym in Burlington and one of the best in the state for the shear magnitude of their offering. Two regulation size basketball courts with viewing area that can be modified into four regulation size courts for tournament play. Another full size court gym for juniors with an eight food goal. Olympic sized indoor heated swimming pool, 3 20x40 spin rooms, 6 concrete wall racquetball courts, 2 20x40 rooms of cardio equipment, 2 large rooms of free weights, 1 of machine weight equipment, men/women locker rooms with showers and a full his and her health club complete with hot tubes, sauna (heat & water), TVs, pool table, etc. This place is massive, the equipment is very new and the building is kept up nicely. I was a member here years ago and really impressed with all the upgrades and modernization attempts over the years. The only complaint, there seems to have been little effort in maintaining a high quality on the racquetball courts and the lighting system on the 4 glass wall back courts is horrible. read more

I belonged for a year. It is an ok gym for the money you will pay. Lots of teenagers using the equipment with not very good gym etiquette. However, it is the YMCA, so it is to be expected. I tried to cancel my membership, and I understood that even though I just got charged for a month, the kid who helped me with my cancelation paperwork said I had until the end of the current month to use my membership. I explained that I had moved and there was another gym closer, so the services were no longer needed. I turned in my springy wrist band with the membership card attached, for I no longer needed it. One month later, the membership fee was once again removed from my account. I called and talked to the manager, and she stated that upon my joining the gym 1 year earlier, the fine print states that I have to give a 30 days notice if I wanted to cancel without being charged for the additional month. I said that I have not used my membership since I had filled out the cancelation form (last month), and she repeated her statement. I guess the Y really needed the $60 they got from me... oh well. You get what you pay for. read more
