From our first phone call, Lisa was kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. She spent about an hour getting to know us, explaining the process, and answering all of our questions, and this was before we had even signed an agreement with her. She also took the time to explain the agreement itself so we understood what we were signing. Buying from out of town definitely had its challenges, but Lisa was very flexible with us. On our first trip to Gainesville, she packed our schedule with showings so we could see as many homes as possible and get a better idea of what we liked. We ended up finding the home we bought very quickly, and this was during one of the busiest times of year for Gainesville real estate. Something I really appreciated was Lisa's attention to detail when we toured homes. There were several times she noticed issues or pointed things out that weren't mentioned in the listing. Her experience was very obvious, and as first-time buyers, that was extremely helpful. She also walked us through the inspection and the rest of the buying process and was always quick to answer our questions. Even now, months after closing, we've reached out to her with questions about the house and she has still been willing to help. Since we were moving to an area where we didn't really know anyone, having someone we could trust throughout the process meant a lot to us. We're very grateful we found Lisa and would absolutely recommend her to anyone buying or selling a home in the Gainesville area.

Glen was not only professional throughout the entire process, but he consistently provided communication throughout the process to ensure that we were updated at all times and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. He not only made himself easily available at all times, but made every effort to ensure that our best interests were being protected. It was obvious that he was working for us, and we appreciated knowing that we could afford 100% trust in him. I couldn't imagine a better experience, and would highly recommend anyone work with Glen if they ever were in need of a trustworthy and highly competent realtor. Unfortunately, my experience with StraightLine did not go well. We were remodeling a 1700 square…read morefoot home as a long term space for my folks. We finally split after 14 months, an enormous amount of money and very little progress. We have spent over $100,000 to correct poor workmanship by StraightLine, on top of the $380,000 we paid them. Electrical was significantly underwired, hot wires were left exposed. A new header was supposed to be installed securely and was not, causing the ceiling and a truss to crack. Sheetrock was placed over necessary spaces, but not over actual holes. A sub contractor backed into the newly added garage and cracked it to the roof. Interior was painted before walls were patched. Trusses, cabinets and tile were all ordered (and installed) incorrectly. Tile was crooked with grout lines uneven. Cabinet space left for fridge was too small. Lot was not graded prior to the garage addition and water flooded into the garage and laundry. Exterior board and batten was done with untreated wood 2x4's which would soon rot. OSB was used in soffits, not plywood. And those are only a few of the issues. Would definitely do it differently if I had to do it again. (Staff was lovely, work was not up to the quality and standards I know they would want.)

At one, we met Tom. He was super knowledgeable about the house and entire area, but the house wasn't right for us. He recommended other neighborhoods we might be interested in and promised not to hound us if we gave him our info. And he truly didn't, which we really appreciated. We got back in touch with him and told him about some homes we were interested in seeing. He quickly set up appointments at all of them, and spent pretty much the whole day with us on Thanksgiving weekend, though I know he had company visiting. We told him we'd go to one of the houses that afternoon, as they had an open house that day. I thought it was a waste of time when I saw he had us going privately to that house. We saw about half a dozen houses that day, of all types in all sorts of neighborhoods. Tom did a wonderful job ferreting out what was important to us-he's a great listener! At the end of the day, he took us back to that Open House we'd mentioned-it was just ending, and he encouraged us to take another look. Both my husband and I knew definitively during our 2nd look that it was the perfect house for us. It turned out to be absolutely fortuitous that we had seen it earlier. After brief consultation, Tom submitted our offer that day, and helped us negotiate over the next day. We ended up with just what we wanted, and feel his knowledge was key in achieving that. It certainly didn't stop then. Tom spoke to us about different lenders and vendors for certain services. We still shopped around, but always ended up with the companies Tom had recommended and it served us well. He was quite helpful all the way up to and including the closing (offered a few inspection companies and set up the inspection with the one we chose, came to our walk thru and noticed little things for the seller to fix that we would never have seen), and has even followed up with us in the ensuing weeks, ensuring we were satisfied with how everything was going. Outstanding sphere of knowledge (neighborhoods, amenities, builders, valuations, etc...) Outstanding client service Would not hesitate for a second to recommend Tom as your realtor. My husband says he concurs!
