I admit I have had to go to Medhelp in Pelham several times over this past year with respiratory infections of some sort. I have a tendency to have an awful cough day and night and the only thing that works is a cough medicine yes with (omg a narcotic). Dr. Wever's nurses and staff are wonderful but today he treated me as if I was only seeking drugs. I am writing this at 3:30am because I got prescribed "pearls" which are the equivalent to taking a tic tac so, I am awake coughing. This bodes well for my nursing students tomorrow. I realize there are people just wanting drugs and, if that was the case, I could get better drugs outside of the office if I wanted. I was there for help with this cough and, to listen to my lungs, Dr. Wever barely touched the stethoscope to my back ( in just two places) and two on the front. Never asked me to take a deep breath or even looked at my throat. He made his mind up I was only there for a tiny bottle of cough medicine, that would not get me far if my goal was to get high. I love paying a co-pay and to take time off work to be viewed the way I was, and to still be up coughing. I also didn't appreciate his nurse being the one to tell me he did not prescribe me any cough medicine. That was not her responsibility to explain why he chose not to treat my cough appropriately. The front staff and all nurses there are absolutely wonderful and this review does not reflect on them in any way. I work in healthcare and I know we all get skeptical but sometimes, just sometimes, patients need to be treated as an individual that comes in for help but instead leaves feeling worse than when they came in. My husband arrived to the office for his follow-up appointment and was told that Dr.Craig is refusing to treat him. They could have called him to let him know in advance before driving to the office. I have never heard of anything so petty in my life. These doctors don't care about their patients. They care about their pride and that dollar. Find another business to get better care.

I've never been to a more money-hungry scam of a doctor's office. I came here for an epidural…read more Somehow, they have organized this place so that they can charge you independently for as much as possible by using 3 "different" offices. 1. Southlake. Which I was charged for the original (consultation) even though they already had my MRI, symptoms, and knew I was referred for an epidural. Then, they charge you for a "doctor finder's fee" to set you up with their surgery center before you even have your appointment there. 2. Medplex. Medplex charged me for the surgery and also wanted to "outsource" anesthesia (Sweet Dreams Anesthesia) which isn't even needed for my procedure. They tried multiple times to convince me to get anesthesia even though I insisted on local. (An epidural is virtually just a steroid shot for those of you that do not know) 3. A follow up. Never in my life have I been charged for a follow-up after a procedure. Especially one where all they're gonna ask is "did it help?". They wanted $400 to ask me a single question. They attempt to get away with this though breaking up everything possible into multiple operations rather than one procedure to hit your insurance (or you if you're paying by yourself) for everything they can. I've had epidurals before, and they have never done what Southlake is doing. Avoid if you don't want to be scammed. P.S. The epidural did nothing This was the review I left on Google after a poor experience. After getting what I needed for a follow-up, I was banned from the practice. They did not call me. They scheduled me. I came into the office. I waited 20 minutes in an exam room to be told I was banned because of my review and would have to find another doctor. Looking through the reviews, it looks like I'm not the only person that this has happened to. Rather than improve your experience, take the feedback, and make their practice better, they'd rather just ban the people they don't agree with. Save yourself the effort and look elsewhere. P.S. Again: The administrative assistant was really sweet through this process and I appreciate her kindness.
