Amazing food, views, and service! I cannot wait to come back here. My husband and I enjoyed a serene and beautiful dinner with the best view of the lake. The servers were wonderful and kind. The head chef checked on us a couple times as well, which we appreciated. Special thanks to him and to Marlen, who was incredibly sweet and made us feel at home.

How have I not reviewed Al Veluu?! I have had the pleasure of dining here 3 times now. Once, when planning my wedding, the second was the welcome dinner for my wedding and the third was last night. Views of the lake are astounding. The hosts Cheryl and Luca, welcome you as if it is their own home. Food is spectacular. The following is the menu I had for my welcome dinner and again last night: -Bresaola air dried beef with sliced celery, Parmesan shavings and mixed leafs salad from our kitchen garden, -Bis of pasta, penne al Veluu and trofie -Involtini don Antonio beef parcels cooked on the grill stuffed with mozzarella and herbs -fried zucchini as side order -tiramisu with fresh fruit berries It's worth noting they have their own garden where they grow fruits and vegetables used in the cooking. We had local wines that were superb. Service is perfectly paced. Do not miss this fabulous restaurant if you come to Lake Como!

I went for the Asparagus and I'm glad I did. The restaurant is a bit up the hill but the view is a worthwhile reward. It started off with assorted salami and each was tasty, some hot. Next was blanched asparagus with a balsamic- basic and delicious. After was polenta -which I never like- but I enjoyed toasted chips inside. Fourth was asparagus hollandaise- the best part of my meal. Finally cheese and then a strawberry desert. The Prix included an aperitif, white and red wine, a cappuccino and a grapa.

The place is truly excellent. The food is great. I had asparagus with eggs - lovely. The view is exceptional.

We sat on the terrace, and took Luca's suggestions: First, lightly fried zucchini flowers were delicious.

It is a mom & son owned restaurant with warm and welcoming service. While the menu is not too expansive, what they do have to offer makes up for it in quality, taste, and freshness. I would come back again and again. One of the best hidden gems of Bellagio. Not pictured here, but order a salad with your pastas! We enjoyed the Mediterranean one and made our own dressing with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil table side. Amazing meal.

It's a small operation that does it right. I had the most incredible bruschetta of my life. A white buffalo style creamy cheese layered on toasted bread with fresh, red full flavored tomatoes. This is not the traditional version but order it. Their wild boar pasta was excellent along with the cacio and pepe pasta. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The service was good, kind owner, cutest location and small menu is delicious. How this is flying under the radar I'm shocked. We ate at some of the highly touted restaurants and were underwhelmed by other reviewers recommendations. I loved, loved this small, precious and special little gem.

The particular alley it was on was not as bustling as the others and the outdoor tables looked inviting as we passed by. We ended up dining inside, where we could be seated immediately. The decor was impressive and fun. We went with a local buckwheat noodle dish (pizzoccheri), which had a very unique and earthy flavor. Recommended to grind fresh pepper on it before enjoying. Worth trying if you're adventurous and want to familiarize yourself with the cuisine of the Valtellina valley. We also had a more classic red sauce pasta (lasagne al ragù di carne). Very thin, light, and elegant noodles in both dishes. An excellent portion size for lunch. Service was attentive and outstanding. This is a perfect spot to sit and unwind , highly recommended.
