I was not expecting that, but i had the feeling some of the fish tapas were taken directly from the freezer to the pan. The best was the breads and the anchovies in vinegar. They were delicious. Peppers were also very nice, but they are not padron variety, as announced. Do not order the fried olives, they are simply horrible. I dont know who orders those, as far as I know they are not usually eaten in Spain, at least I had not try them before that night in Nuremberg. They were not good at all, such a weird taste and it was like eating fat plus fat but not the tasty fat. Avoid to spend money on that. For the rest, very cute decor (bullfighters and dancers, very 'fake typical Spanish' in a very festive environment where you can see locals enjoying the wine and tapas like if there the real deal.

You get complimentary bread with garlic butter (however it seams they do it with mayonnaise, which is not as good as I think) and that tastes really good. So you must watch out not to eat too much of that. And by the way, if you finished your basket full of bread you get another one. I ordered five starters / tapas as a main dish and the portion of each is large. Either the meat or the various fish / seafood I had or the roasted spicy sausage: it is just delicious. And even if you are full, it tastes so good you can not stop eating. In addition to the garlic butter I would like to express that there are better Catalan Creams as in La Tapa. Service 2 stars (if not just one) Well, it takes quite a while until you receive your order. We spent a total of three hours there. But I would like to say: hase makes waste. So maybe all of the orders are done just after you ordered them and nothing is pre-arranged. Another point is the waiter wanted to serve us two not ordered meals. On the contrary two persons of our group had to ask twice to get their ordered drinks. And the last negative aspect we faced nearby our table were a group of regular guests. And they were treated way to obvious like kings. Well, it is ok to treat such guest like that. But then have them seated not in the center of the restaurant where everyone can see the two-class society. If you can life with the not perfect service than it is a must-go.

I ordered a few different plates, and each one was a standout: -Tapa Filet: Prime beef strips served in a rich, decadent butter and thyme glaze. It was cooked perfectly and absolutely melted in your mouth. -Solomillo al Salmolejo: This pork loin fillet was a total game-changer. The Canary Island-style preparation with that "killer" mojo verde and lemon olive oil marinade was incredibly vibrant and flavorful. -Pollo al Vino Tinto: The highlight of the night. This slow-cooked chicken in red wine sauce was pure heaven.
