2.50 Euro for a Shawarma? Definitely the cheapest I've ever paid the Moroccan chicken/veggie wrap…read more Little that I know... you get what you pay for. Pretty flavorless, and the bread was not even warm. Pretty much a no-go for a Shawarma. On the other hand, you can't beat their prices. I recommend going for a "Teller" (plate) instead, the portions are bigger and you'll pay around 6 Euro. The crowd can be questionable here, likely due to the fact that Goerlitzer Park is closeby. If you want better quality and a nicer environment try out nearby Baraka, otherwise this place will do.

Literally THE BEST place I have ever eaten IN THE WORLD. I have been told the cuisine was Moroccan,…read morebut I'm no expert, so I can't be sure. No matter WHAT this is, though--the food here is amazing, the prices are jaw-droppingly cheap. They have freshly squeezed orange and carrot juice (about 3 euros a cup, last time I went) that I had to cut myself off from before I went broke, haha! They have plenty of seating, both indoors and out, and I have always managed to find a seat, even when it was packed during the world cup. My suggestion: bring a friend and order the Rissani Teller, you will NOT be disappointed. Between two people, this plate is HARD to finish. They give you TONS of food for the price (about 8 euros, I believe--but don't quote me on that!). The plate is a giant sampler of all their best stuff, including: shawarma, felafel, hummus, fried halloumi, and mountains of veggies. The best part is this deep fried eggroll-type thing they put on top, filled with halloumi and spinach (I think?), which is my favorite food EVER! They also have three sauces: a yogurt/garlic sauce, a mango sauce, and a chili sauce. It sounds weird, but try all three--at once! Trust me, it's good! Even if this restaurant were more expensive, I'd pay for it--it's quality food only made that much sweeter by its price tag.

I have taken many people to eat there with me and so many of my friends agree, both Middle Easterners as well as Europeans and Americans. I go there almost every week, sometimes twice or three times. Ask for a plate of Ful, it's a warm stew of whole and mashed chick peas mixed with Tahini and Fava beans. the default plwte of ful is mixed with Yoghurt, so if you're a Vegan like me- ask for "Ful Nabati" and they'll know that you want it without the Yoghurt, and it's still F*cking amazing. 5 Stars. Also try their freshly baked Flatbread, with Za'atar (Arabic mix of thyme, sesame and spices), and you can also get them with Tomato and onion, or with cheese or meat. The staff is really nice, the manager is the chef and his two brothers will bake the fresh and delicious Flatbread right in front of your eyes.

Unpretentious, authentic and non-hipstery Lebanese place in Sonnenallee. We came here for some…read morebrunch and ordered the Fatteh, the hummus and two thyme-pizzas (zataar flatbread), the fatteh was amazing especially with the crispy bread-chips on top and the hummus was good as well although not the best one I ever had. They only have a few items on the menu which is always a good sign. They make their "pizzas" fresh and they are just wonderful, you can also have them with cheese but I would definitely recommend thyme. The fatteh and hummus are served with a plate of cut up onions, pickles, tomatos, olives and mint, and they don't skimp, you get a full plate! You also get (packaged, not fresh) flat bread. For everything we opnly paid 12€ which is as cheap as it can get for some delicious food, with the plate of veggies and the bread included. Definitely recommend if you're in for a quick brunch or lunch, don't mind a super simple ambience and are tight on a budget. You will definitely leave with a full belly!
