I went back, had to do it ALL again. They offered no apology or discount, although I spoke to the owner voicing my extreme displeasure with not only having to waste my time, but with the overall discomfort of having another procedure with contrast. Due to anxiety, I ended up doing the exam without contrast. The receptionist called my husband in for a refund, which was surprisingly low. Later, the manager said the price would've been different if I had followed the doctor's instructions--something that was never clarified beforehand. Worse, the manager abruptly canceled my exam after I had entered the MRI machine, even knowing I have claustrophobia. No empathy, no professionalism. She was impatient and dismissive, despite dealing with vulnerable patients. If you're anxious or need clarity, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I'm now trying to escalate this beyond the local manager, as this experience was unacceptable.

I didn't have to wait very long when Louis/Lewis called me into the exam room for my echocardiogram. He was very professional and explained the entire procedure to me before he began. It had been 10 years since I had had an echocardiogram. It took about 30 minutes or so, and it was done. I am satisfied with the service and care that the DMI staff provided. There is abundant free parking underneath the 3-story building and around the perimeter of the building, including wheelchair accessiblability close to the entrance. They are located a few blocks behind Aventura Hospital.

The front desk is superb. However the doctor should not be working with claustrophobic patients…read morethat need an MRI. As it is extremely difficult to stay in the same spot for 30 minutes without moving, this is even more difficult for a claustrophobic patient that is being kept in a tiny enclosed space. After about 20 minutes I began to struggle and twitch a bit. I was determined to get through the MRI but the doctor had placed headphones over my ears with horrific music playing. Over the horrific music he is yelling "STOP MOVING" After his third time scolding me I decided to end the session as I could feel panic arising and taking over my body. I just needed to move my body and get out of the tiny enclosed space. The doctor was also rude, cold, and had ZERO manner.

The gentlemen that works the MRI machine understands the importance and needs of the patients as it's very stressful to be 45 minutes without moving inside a cylinder. I'd gone to another facility that provided MRI and wasn't able to do it. For many, doing an MRI can be stressful and challenging. I found this place, made the appointment and I recommend this place 100%. I needed 3 MRI and for a chubby person that had surgery and gets anxious of being in a small cylinder that you can't even touch your nose will inside as there is no space, this place is where you need to go. As you enter the girls talk to you and answer any questions you may have. The guy that does the MRI has patience and works with you as how the machine works, make sure you are comfortable and relax. He puts the glasses and talks to you through the process letting you know what the machine is doing and the time frame. For me that was epic as not many care to help you in a way to make you feel less anxious. Thank you so much for making this experience better. My appointment was at 10am, so this morning crew, thank you so much. Only those that need to do or have done an MRI will understand this review.
