I got scheduled for 8:30 and I'm still here waiting. Why would you schedule me for 8:30 I get here at 7:45 and still waiting what a waist of my day smh read more

Avoid this place. 0 stars. The staff is aloof and very unhelpful. Will never go there again. read more

They actually gave me same day scheduling and the staffers were friendly and polite. I have no reservations about recommending this location. read more

Zero starts should be an option for a horrible business like Akumin in Aventura, Appointment was set up for 9 am, two hours later and still waiting. "Nurses" are happily taking among themselves about everything else but work, No customer service whatsoever, they don't answer any questions and for sure they have no idea what an appointment nor a line is. They let in whomever they like or the already know. Why make an appointment that you are not going to honor???? read more

I booked an appointment at Akumin in March for an MRI of my Eye in Langhorne, PA. Upon booking my appointment, I read the woman on the phone my script from the doctor. The day before my appointment Akumin called me to tell me that they could not do my MRI as the technician did not know how to perform my MRI because of what my doctor wrote on the script. This was the day before not I have to find another place to get my MRI AND my appointment at Wills Eye Hospital will also need to be rescheduled because their technicians are not skilled enough. read more

t's deeply concerning that Akumin appears to be disregarding patient rights under HIPAA. For the past three months, I've made numerous attempts - including phone calls and in-person visits - to obtain my medical imaging CDs, which are part of my protected health information as guaranteed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Even involving my insurance company hasn't yielded any results. Their repeated misrepresentations and delays have caused significant and unnecessary stress. Consequently, I will be filing complaints with the Florida Department of Health and pursuing legal options to ensure my rights are respected. read more

ZERO stars for akumin. the wait time is interminable (whether calling on phone or appt) take your medical needs anywhere but akumin - no regard for a patient's time. waited over 30 mins for someone to pickup the phone - no one ever did. appt. times are ignored and every excuse given as to why. walked out without test being done. there are many imaging companies to choose from - do not choose this company (unless you have hours to sit and wait to receive service). read more

The front desk was very kind and took time with questioning. Being very claustrophobic, the technian was very patient with me.

The Staff very nice and very helpful. procedure was fast and quick. The made sure I was comfortable

Although there was a rescheduling issue and I was waiting, the young fair lady at the desk was doing a swell job attending to guests, making efforts to carefully help others with the drink machine, and even coordinating a guest pickup. The CT lady was excellent as well. read more

Had a 6pm CT scan appt and they started an update before taking me in and had me waiting for hours, no consideration for patients at all!!

Sink in exam room was filthy. Bathroom was dirty. All workers were pleasant and helpful.

Customer service-- out of US-- provides a different answer every time. Nothing accurate. Transportation called so late, I made other arrangements and actually thought that the site was the one on Aventura Blvd. Report not ready when I went back despite call to confirm availability. Technician unable to establish IV line for dye after two trys. I had no hope for another stab at it. Never again. The front desk person is very nice. read more

Sat in the waiting room for 2 hours with no explanation why. Every time I asked the receptionist what was happening I got empty answers. It's like they forget that they are seeing people with injuries... sitting in a chair for 2 hours with a bad hip is not easy. read more

If I can put no stars I would. The front staff was ok. Not very welcoming. But the problem was with the lady who did the mammogram on me. She was super insensitive and questioning me about getting checked out "so young". She only spoke to me in Spanish which at first didn't mind but when she started with her comments it started to really rub me the wrong way. Saying she couldn't believe my doctor would send me to get this testing done. And instead of telling me what to do with my breasts on the machine that I've never used before she would get upset because I was "doing it wrong". I was in shock the whole time by her comments and making me feel like my concerns weren't valid. She said "everyone has pain there". I then proceeded to get an ultrasound done by another lady who was super kind and she could tell something was off with me and I just started crying telling her my experience with the previous lady and she told me to go to the front desk and get the supervisors phone number and to call her directly which I did and have called the supervisor 5 times already and have left messages each time. Seems like she never answers or returns calls. I don't recommend this place at all. My mother also had a terrible experience with the front desk months prior and I chose to ignore that and still go for mines. read more

I had an MRI of my knee on Tuesday as I have excruciating pain because of an accident. Today is Friday and they still haven't sent my doctor results. There is no way of speaking to anyone at the office. Will never go back there. No empathy. read more

Had an issue finding one of their locations that could accommodate me sooner than later and I was directed to the Aventura location of Akumin Diagnostic Imaging. Was quite a drive (over an hour) from my Fort Lauderdale home location but was worth it in the end. Got turned around by maps due to road work at the time but found the place quite easily, it's right nearby the Aventura Mall. The staff is friendly, gracious and accommodating, my tech was sweet, I was completely comfortable with both my mammogram and bone density test (my first time with the bone density) I got what I consider to be quality care and would recommend them anytime! Thanks Akumin staff at Aventura Hopefully my next appointment is closer to home but I enjoyed being there in and out in a fairly good time. read more

I came here for an ultrasound and left my expensive sun glasses on one of the chairs in the ultrasound rooms! I called the same day and the technician told me that they were there and that they were given to the front desk . I told her that I couldn't come the same day but to save them for me for when I show up the next day ! Today o happily came to pick up my glasses and no one knows where they are. They are all looking at each other clueless! These are 500 dollar glasses ! Someone at that office is enjoying my sunglasses , what a shame ! Keep your belongings close to you if you come here . I don't trust this place . The office manager took no responsibility when I called to follow up and I know that my sunglasses did not magically disappear. One of those ladies at that office is enjoying my sunglasses , unbelievable. read more

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!! Terrible service. They called after 5pm to tell me that my MRI scheduled for the next day wasn't authorized by my private insurance company because they didn't receive the office notes from the doctor's office. The MRI was scheduled over a week prior. Why wait until the night before to tell me it wasn't authorized. The woman curtly stated that this is their standard procedure. At this point it's too late to do anything about it. I either had to cancel (which they seemed happy to do) or pay for it out of pocket, which I did. This is their scam to get people to pay out of pocket a higher fee than they'd collect from the insurance company. Then, they have you sign a disclaimer that you won't try to bill the insurance company. This is a very shady practice. Additionally, it took over a week to receive the report from the radiologist. This is totally unacceptable and not the community standard. Again, use another facility!! read more

Bad scheduling, wrong office hours posted & rude employees. Scheduled for 7am appointment, for a center that did not do my type of xray. Sent to another center, did not do my type of xray. 2925 Aventura Blvd. Terrible decision making by Ivonne at the front desk. Someone came in extra late for an MRI due to being lost supposedly and instead of sticking to her first decision to make the late person reschedule or go after the rest of us, she just let her go in ahead of us. So my 630 appt became a 7pm appt, finally leaving the office at 730pm. Another person who also came in late was also allowed to just go in. There is no respect here for folks who come on time or have later appts that day especially knowing that these MRIs take at least 20-30 minutes each. Do not come here if you value your time. read more

They are really bad. They took more than an hour to make me the MRI. it was supposed an urgent order and they spent more than week to deliver the results because some doctor didn't signed it on time. it's a shame. Also, be careful what you pay. With my medical insure they wanted to charge me more than what it cost without. looks like scammers. read more

I had an MRI at the Arthur Godfrey location in Miami Beach. This is also called Elite imaging. They did not give me my ID back and unfortunately I didn't notice until they were closed as I was the last patient of the day. I was flying out the next day and had to change all my flight info to my passport maiden name. Mind what a pain this was as I had 4 flights before being back in Miami. I tried to contact them but their call central is in Jacksonville and apparently it was impossible to get connected to the location. I tried several times and the central kept trying but nobody answered there. Being back 2 weeks later I picked it up, it was laying at the front desk. Like WHAT ABOUT CURTESY OF GIVING ME A CALL to inform me I left my ID there??... read more

Terrible, they would have you wait weeks and never return your call. The CEO blinds his profile on LinkedIn due I am sure to negative feedback. Avoid them as they do not deserve your business for over priced imaging services. read more

There is not enough space for me to describe the slipshod operation that is Akumin in Aventura. I went to this place at least 3 ocassions over more than 8 weeks to get an MRI. I left today with no MRI. Over the course of the saga I was turned away for a variety of reasons including 1) no one at the office told me I needed blood labs before an MRI. Result? Get out and go get one. 2) No one looked at my physician's order for the MRI until I arrived at the office after resetting the appointment. No MRI for me because my doctor ordered less work than he insurance company authorized. In addition to all this, the office has worn, cheap pleather chairs from the office supply store, and the front office staff is woefully unknowing. I asked to speak to a responsible manager, but she wasn't answering the phone. This place is a colossal disaster, and I would never engage them for any services, especially health services. read more

This AKUMIN facility on NE 191st St in Aventura leaves a lot to be desired. The place is dirty and dingy and the wait time unacceptable. It took me days to get my CT scan disc for my physician when he specifically had in his order to give me my disc before leaving for upcoming appointment. I noted other patients were handed their discs just minutes after their tests were completed. I finally received mine 2 days later (excluding Sunday) which was a gross inconvenience having to go back & forth 5 times. I will say, my tech was very nice, other than that, I have nothing good to say. I will never go to this imaging center again! read more
