Fantastic flavor, fresh spice and seasoning throughout and so worth a return visit when I am back in Grob Umstadt. Also enjoyed the stuffed grape leaves and left satisfied and full. Seit 1992 ist es unter der Leitung von Fam. Topaloglou zum Restaurant "Poseidon" umbenannt worden. Das Restaurant wurde komplett umgebaut und neu eingerichtet. Ein Besuch im Restaurant Poseidon bedeutet Balsam für Augen, Seele und Magen. Von der ersten Minute an setzt sich der Gast mit griechischer Kultur und Lebensart auseinander und begibt sich in eine Welt, die weitab vom Alltag liegt. Upon entering the restaurant the first thing you notice is the Greek decor which was a touch cheesy but interesting. The place is really clean and inviting. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We ordered a variety of plates as well as an appetizer platter. The appetizer platter was very good. It had fried eggplant, fried zucchini, roasted peppers, and deep fried feta cheese. Everything was delicious. We then were served a small salad which was delicious but lacked any Greek flavors. I expected olives or feta cheese but it was made with corn. After the salad we were served our main dishes which included a variety of meats and potatoes. The meat was ok. It was a bit greasy and left my stomach aching from the amount of oil. The potatoes were pretty good but overall everything was quite salty. I think this place is pretty good but it does not have that light feeling one would expect from Greek food. I wish it were more fresh, light and flavorful. It tastes more like a Greek fast food place. Overall pretty good but not really authentic. If I could, I would give 3.8 stars. On a side note, it was strange that they did not accept any form of card payment. This is a large restaurant where people spend quite a bit. I think it's quite ridiculous to not accept card in the year 2015.

Much like most other Greek restaurants in Germany, there is always a large selection of very meaty combination platters. This is something I always enjoy! There is a slight tendency to overcook some meats, but the lamb chops are always good. The owners and staff are super-friendly and willing to accommodate special requests (a number of food allergies in the family). In any case, we always look forward to eating here! A good bet if you're in A-Burg!
