Our spunky & independent Mom loved Dr. B's refreshingly direct, blunt, and honest way of communicating with her. Because our Mom admired Dr. B's knowledge and appreciated Dr. B's sense of humor, Mom followed Dr. B's advice. As Mom grappled with dementia in her final couple of years, each of us 4 adult children interacted more and more with Dr. B. and her wonderful staff. The physical therapist on staff at Dr. B's office, Kevin, worked patiently with our Mom each week to keep her moving. At every step of the way, Dr. B. was responsive, compassionate, and helpful to all of us. During Mom's very last days, Dr. B. gave clear direction to everyone to make our Mom's passing as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Dr. B. is a great doctor and a great person.

Since Endeavor bought Northwest Community Hospital some things have changed. Since the purchase,…read moreI've used their lab and their emergency room. There have really been no changes to their lab. You can walk in with lab orders and they will take you in the order of check-in time. Their phlebotomists are good, and results come in quickly. As for the ER, they seem to have a lower staffing level. I think part of this is I heard they are no longer a trauma center. If that is the case, I understand their reduction in staff. As with most ERs, wait times can be outrageous. I brought someone in who was in terrible pain - 10 out of 10 on their scale. How much pain you are in doesn't seem to matter in their triage. We waited a very long time before we were finally taken back. Once in an ER room, the service was outstanding. The quality of the nurses and the ER doctor were top notch. When we left, the medical issue was resolved, and although it is cliche, we had service with a smile. Aside from the wait time in the ER, Endeavor seems to have kept the quality of care up to par.

I had breast implants in 2010 and in Dr placik was wonderful. I was quite nervous because I had…read morenever done anything to myself, and this was after three children. Who was commendable with his nurse and she showed me why I should pick silicone under the muscle implants instead of saline over the muscle. The recovery was a bit rough, but with implants under the muscle that's going to happen. 16 years later, I'm doing great. I didn't go completely crazy in terms of size. I went reasonable and proportional to what I looked like before children. My goal was so that clothing fits me better and more like when I was younger. This doctor achieved that and I'm so grateful. I do not have any visible scars. I had thought I was sagging, but the doctor said no really you are just deflated and we can fix that. I also chose the aftercare where I stay the night at a facility down the hall from his surgical suite. I'm glad I did so since I had three children, and I knew that there was no way I would get any rest at home.

I had a lower face lift and neck lift with Dr. Placik in October 2022, and the results have been…read moreseverely disappointing. The recovery process was very challenging. I've experienced complications such as fat necrosis and an ear infection following the procedure. The ear infection was directly related to the permanent suture that was left at the incision site, requiring frequent follow-up visits every 1-2 weeks for removal. These visits were quite painful as no numbing was used. I left the office crying every time. I've had some issues with communication and support from the office. After filing a complaint with the hospital, they recommended that I bring my husband to my next appointment. However, when we arrived, they did not allow him to accompany me into the room. I've never had issues with doctors in the past, but I found Dr. Placik's demeanor with no compassion. Post-op he was extremely rude, mean and dismissive. Based on my experience, I would not recommend him for any procedures and services.

Dr. Karam takes his time with you ensuring that you are thoroughly satisfied. Answers questions in a thoughtful way. He is really cares about everything going on in your life and tries to find ways to improve your health! I most enjoy the online portal where I can check my lab results, schedule an appointment or even send a quick message to Dr. Karam and his staff. His prompt and thoughtful replies have given me peace of mind and are most convenient I can't say enough about this team as I've been blown away with the level of care I have received every singe time!

He is very pleasant, talks to you very thoroughly making sure to answer ALL of your questions and concerns. My husband has went to him twice in a week sometimes for follow up care and the doctor has never made him feel rushed. He is very respectful and really gets to know his patients lifestyle, background and gives you the sense that he's listening rather than getting his prescription pad out, like more physicians do. The appointments are never rushed either. We plan to refer as many friends, coworkers and family to Dr. Stefanuik and plan to be his patients for years to come! :)

You can use laboratories at any Northwest Community Hospital for bloodwork, x-rays, urine tests, vaccines, etc..... He saved me some orthopedic procedures suggesting I wait for the body to heal. He was right, the procedure was not needed. No complaints. He is a Dr. in the NCH medical group so referrals are easy to get appointments if needed. THey also have immediate care walk in clinics that can share my medical records between locations. All your data is online for you with years of history, treatments, tests, Blood Pressure, Weight, Vaccines, Medications, etc..... Great when you travel in emergency situations, you have access to all your medical history and records.
