The only issue I had with the room was the ac was loud and not cooling. It's either extremely cold and loud or just no circulation and warm. The daily parking fee was $45 but there was a misunderstanding if anyone dines in the restaurant, they would waive the parking fee. I got to then know after asking multiple staff that it's not for overnight parking. It was a little disappointing that we paid for 2 nights and a restaurant bill of $100 and the parking fee wasn't waived off or at least discounted for the 2 hours we dined in. It was a bummer but overall very impressed.

The Rosewood has a small, well-appointed sitting room next to reception that smells amazing and offers coffee. The gym and pool are located on the roof, along with the rooftop bar, CUT Above. The rooftop views are great, though I sadly did not make it to CUT Above. My room was fantastic and I never wanted to leave. I basically locked myself in it for my stay, leaving only for a visit to CUT (the hotel's delicious restaurant) and venturing out for breakfast. I love that the rooms have a vanity to do your makeup, though the mirror is a bit too low. The bed was supremely comfortable. But the bathroom is what really stands out. It was huge, with a gorgeous tub and lovely rainfall shower. I barely left the tub and shower. Everything was immaculately clean. This was my first stay at a Rosewood property and it will not be my last. The attention to detail, service, and ambiance were absolutely perfect.

Everything was well organized from start to finish! And I mean from the moment that we checked in to the moment that we checked out! This is gonna be a long review, so put your seatbelt on and go for this ride with me! When you first arrive, you park your car in the front and check in at the front desk. There was a bellman David, who met me and who was kind enough to help me take my items to my room. At check-in, I met Ellie, and Maggie. They greeted me and thanked me for being a brilliant member, and let me know what benefit benefits came with my stay. If you are a member of the hotels club, they have different incentives for you during your stay. I was advised what time I could come down for breakfast and also the various vending options and dining options available on site. After David, unloaded my items in my room I was able to go and take my car into the valet parking. The valet keeps your car overnight or you have the option to park on the street. If I were you, I would just let the valet handle it. They have an app where whenever you need your car you simply request it and the car is there within seconds! The valet attendant was Semir and he was soooo nice! I mean all of these people were super sweet! I cannot say that enough! Now let's get into the rooms! These rooms are filled with history, and eclectic decor. They have vinyl record players in each room and some really cool literature. But we took it over the top for me was the linen and the pillow pillows on the bed!!!! I literally missed one of the events for the bachelorette party because I sat on the bed and the whole bed grabbed my body, my faced kiss the pillow and I fell slam asleep!!! I feel like you guys need to send me two of those pillows for this review lolllll! Also, the food options were really amazing and there's a café not far down the sidewalk called Mamma Do's that you can dine with for your meals. The entire hotel smells amazing. The showers that I took at this hotel were incredible and it's like they literally have thought of everything and once you get in all you have to do is relax! There's a fridge in the rooms along with water and complementary coffees. They actually serve free alkaline waters in environmental, friendly bottles. One really cool component of this hotel is that they have a rooftop bar and it is like one of the spots in the city. There are many people that come to visit the rooftop, however, they do not have access to the guest floors which I thought was incredible! The security does a phenomenal job at making sure that only guest who are staying at the hotel make it onto guest room floors. That is not an easy task when you have a whole club upstairs. Also I don't know who handles the acoustics at this hotel, but the music did not bother me whatsoever while I was in my room. I literally could not hear it. The pricing at this hotel is beyond affordable, and the location is absolutely astonishing! Your Ubers are going to be literal pennies and you can pretty much walk anywhere! Update: After writing this review, I checked out of the hotel the next morning and the manager…read moreMaggie was absolutely fabulous and understanding. She explained to me that they have noise, ordinance restrictions and that if it was disturbing anyone from sleep, it means the rules that they haven't place were not obeyed. I didn't have time to have a full conversation with her and told her I would stop back by after a meeting. When I return to the hotel after my meeting, she was dealing with an emergency on site and I left my phone number at the Front Desk and she called me within a couple hours to finalize our discussion. She was gracious, polite, understanding, kind, and exactly the kind of hospitalitarian and you would expect from a top-tier hotel. I may consider coming back if Maggie is still in the manager. Having worked in the hospitality business for a very long time, she handled the situation perfectly and did everything within her power to make it right. WARNING: If you plan to be here on a weekend night, there will be NO SLEEP until after 2am. The first two nights of my four night stay were fine; Wednesday and Thursday. I booked a jr. suite while in town for a business meeting. It was just over 500SF with a couch and king bed, walk in closet, and vanity area in addition to a steam shower. Pros: firm bed, record player and fellow water kettle in room, easy to order ice, great water pressure. Walkable location to the convention center and many bars and restaurants and other local attractions. Cons: staff is polite, but not very warm or friendly. I didn't see a single woman who worked in hospitality here. The only female staff I saw were housekeepers. Attached food venues are currently closed (Baker's daughter, etc.) No top flat/top sheet on the bed, you sleep directly under the comforter. When I arrived, I had two large suitcases I was bringing in and two people on staff at the front door just watched me struggle through with my suitcases instead of offering to help me. Upon check-in, the only two Junior suites they had remaining were on the fourth floor, and the second one was directly under the nightclub on the eighth floor. The gentleman at Front Desk explained that to me as why he gave me the suite on the fourth floor, I thought I would not be subjected to the noise of the nightclub. WRONG. The listing for the suite quoted a "city view" but my view was only of an internal roof with gravel. TV does not have a "sleep setting" and most of the remote buttons didn't work (guide, menu, etc.) After the club finally closed at 2am and you could hear people screaming and arguing while departing, I also got to listen to my neighbors endeavor into adult activities. The hotel is cute, the beds are comfortable, but as someone who is not looking to go to a nightclub, let alone stay in one, I will never return. Not worth the steep price tags during a conference where rest is valued. Ultimately, I checked out a day early due to the excessive noise that they don't inform you of while booking. Can't recommend this hotel based on this experience as the price paid.

That's really all I was looking for. We spent the majority of our time exploring Union Market area which is less than a 5 minute walk. The hotel is well decorated and has a beautiful boutique vibe. Staff was friendly, check in was easy, and they have an amazing restaurant on the rooftop that has AMAZING tacos. The only downside to the stay is having to park in the garage for $60 a night. There is street parking available, but that's not always guaranteed. Overall a great experience and would certainly stay again when out in that area.

Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised and may have found my permanent hotel when in the DC/VA area. The space is gorgeous! A movie theater inside that guests can use, Pilates classes, gorgeous coffee shop, and dining area, Amira (sp) was the sweetest ever. She made you feel as though you were the only guest in the hotel when you arrived. She showed you around and described all the amenities and even gave an elite gift at my check in. My room was amazing. I travel several times a month for work and this may be my fave. My room was super spacious and the bathroom, shower was so large. Loved the mini bar in my room and the nespresso machine. Also had several snacks for purchase. My bed was cozy and overall-just an amazing stay! Just wish I could have stayed longer.

The staff were very friendly and the property was well maintained. Once I got to the room, there was no iron - and the steamer had mold and the tub filled up during shower. I had to call a few times for service as it took them longer than 1 hour to get my requests handled. Causing me to miss my earlier dinner call. With that being said - I have zero complaints with Isaiah, the front desk representative who went out of his way to make my short stay amazing. Offering free mimosa etc. (wasn't able to enjoy them however) The restaurant unfortunately, was horrible. Went in for breakfast and it lacked preparation and flavor. The restaurant staff were inattentive, and the chef was unable to accommodate / substitute. The location of the hotel, however, rates excellent for walkability, so I was able to walk to find good food nearby. Will likely stay again, due to convenience to the city but they need to do some work on the hotel and maintenance

Super exclextic place!…read more Our first trip to DC and we picked CitizenM for our long weekend getaway. The self check-in service was great, we quickly got our room keys as soon as we walked in thanks to their easy to follow tablet system. Our room was super modern and a space saver. Everything was compacted to fit perfectly and be efficient . We enjoyed all the amenities like the different color mood light settings that we could easily control via the rooms tablet. Also, the ambiance room music was a nice touch. The convenient tablet also controlled the TV, dark and light shades and the rooms bathroom and shower lights. It was a lot of fun setting the different moods. The bed was super comfy and luxurious we rested very well in it each night after spending all day exploring DC. I really enjoyed all the art around the common areas within the hotel. It made it feel more homey and less sterile than other traditional hotels. It also had a really nice bar and breakfast area. Overall, we had a great experience and I would definitely come back for a future stay!

I stayed at the Ritz for 4 nights in July…read more Overall, there were highs and lows here. The service itself was good. I felt the check-in staff was friendly and helpful. They do daily events like chocolate apples, drinks, and other interesting snacks in the lobby at certain times. I like those small perks. The service in my room was good too -- daily cleanings and leaving small trinkets like water and chocolates. That was great. The lobby and bar were well done, with good music playing and good bar service. However, my room itself was questionable. The TV couldn't play any audio the first night. I tried several things, nothing would work. Mysteriously it fixed itself by the next day after I came back to my room, maybe the cleaning staff figured it out. My bathroom had a weird drain dripping sound any time I used the sink -- it would drip for 5-10 minutes. It didn't impact me aside from being strange. The in room amenities are way too pricey. I get it's the Ritz, but it's $10 for a water and $12 for a handful of skittles. I just walked to the CVS across the street instead. The building itself is decent, but doesn't feel super premium in my opinion, especially vs other Ritz. I do prefer this property to Crystal Gateway Marriott by a lot, though.
