This is a great location in Arlington literally steps away from the Ballston/MU metro line. The hotel is well maintained, clean rooms and bathroom with Crabtree and Evelyn products. I liked that the room was equipped with microwave and fridge. As a diamond member I was upgraded to their executive level room which gave us access to their lounge. The lounge had a nice coffee machine that made cappuccino, espresso, cold brew and many other options. It was well stocked with soda, bottled water and some snacks throughout the day. No alcohol. Morning breakfast was a lavish hot buffet. The staff is great especially Sahai. They have some hot appetizers in the evening from 5-7 pm and managers reception on Tuesday evening. Self Parking is $24 per night and you can have in n out privileges with room key. read more

A convenient location. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. But otherwise, this was a sub-par Hilton experience. There was a musty, chemical smell in the hallway of my floor during my entire stay. There were fans blowing into one of the rooms at the far end, apparently it had been flooded. One of the pillow cases was dirty when I checked in. It looked like it had mascara on it. The pillow case was not replaced even after I repotted the problem to the front desk. It was surprising to see that the bath/shower had shampoo and conditioner but no body wash. On one morning, housekeeping left a big puddle of water on the bathroom floor. The hotel bar/restaurant closes relatively early at 10pm but fortunately there is a 24-hour IHOP directly across the street. read more

The hotel is easy to get to. If you are flying into DCA, there is a shuttle (baggage claim door 4) to the hotel. There is a small cafe in the lobby. The hotel prices are typical of DC. Worse experience we have ever experienced! The 5 th floor smelled like black mold! We try to get help. They would answer but no one would come to help. They offered to move us to a room but it was two singles at 11 pm ish ! I think the health department should be notified! I got sick and no way to contact anyone to report this! That's why I resulted in writing this review! We have been here over ten stays and all have been great except this one! Others problems weee key did not work for parking or the elevator! The tv didn't work half the time! Just a very poor experience! We also was interrupted late at night because they got the wrong room for a night bed ! The hotel is nice. The hotel restaurant not so much. Portion size is small for the dinner entree I ordered. The breakfast food at the buffet is really good but the attendant made paying for breakfast super difficult. Day 1-Checked in on Sunday, it was annoying. The guy wrote the wrong room number on my key packet because my fam couldn't get into the room and I realized that it didn't match my Hilton digital key room number. Turns out digital keys do not work for everything and I always rely on digital keys. The guy said I could just scan my digital key for the garage but it didn't work. I also couldn't get into the executive lounge with the digital key, it kept showing up that the lounge was closed on my app so the guy led me through the side entrance for the lounge. I had to go back and forth to the front desk because my physical and digital keys also did not work for the lounge. Someone else told me the digital keys don't work for the garage or loungemy digital key did not work again when I came back from dinner and my sister couldn't get into the room bc she went back first without us and had to get another key at the front desk. The tv was just static and the menu button doesn't work. Apparently you have to just change the channels , only the up/down buttons for both channel and volume work.... menu button doesn't do anything. My fridge also wasn't working so engineer brought me a second fridge. Day 2-giving up. We had to change rooms bc my baby got bit on her leg, aunt itchy and I got bit on the chair while pumping. Carla was very responsive and quickly came up with the head of cleaning up to my room within 5 minutes of me calling front desk to ask for bed sheet change. They gave me an option of room change and deep cleaning while we were out, but pushed for us to change room so they can do more to investigate. They checked our skin also which I really appreciated. This can happen at any hotel so I'm happy with the quick response. She has amazing energy, unlike the other people at the front desk. Thank you so much Carla! Seriously, everyone else needs to learn how to smile because I dealt with the same two afternoon people since checking in and it's sooo unwelcoming. I had also had another issue with the new room, the sink water took forever to go down and I'm washing baby bottles and pump stuff so it's a super slow process. I called the desk and even over the phone, I could tell that the rep, Mike, was friendly and welcoming! The tv in this room kept having no signal. I'm so sad. Both rooms I'm on the 7th floor club level.... It's just so many issues one after another and it's tiring with a baby. Also we kept getting disconnected from the wifi. Day 3- engineer came in the morning and tried to unclog our sink when we were away. When we came back, we still had the same issue. Another engineer came up. Front desk said they may have to move us. I'm so sad and tired Day 4- Moved across from my second room so it was a lot easier to Move than the first time. I noticed that my second room, no one refilled the conditioner and third room, my shower gel was empty. But we were rudely awakened by the alarm clock at midnight. Someone set an alarm and my sister tried turning it off while sleepy, apparently hit snooze instead so we got woken up again. She tried unplugging it and it went off again, turns out she pulled the wrong one out so she had to pull again. So annoying. Day 5- the air conditioning randomly makes squeaky annoying sounds at 5am, 645am. Im soooo annoyed but not as annoyed as the prior days. Can't have everything perfect but I'm really not asking for much. They also said they checked our first room But didn't find any bugs. Staff was amazing, returned my shoes from my first nights stay in another room. Apparently I forgot it under the bench but they found it and tracked me back to my 3rd room. Thanks so much! Breakfast at the executive lounge vs restaurant: only difference is location and having an extra coffee machine/sodas at lounge. An extra person for the breakfast is about $10. The lounge is open for drinks (no alcohol) and fruits but definitely this is one of the most underwhelming Lounges we've been to. They have snacks from 5-7pm and everyday they have something different. The first day it was salad and fried chicken bites. Second day it was salad (strawberry dressing) and crab cakes. Third day meatballs and Cesaers salad. Wednesday was pasta, dumplings and hummus/pita bread. Friday was fried gyoza. Restaurant staff is friendly. Carla was great! She comped my parking for our troubles and always makes sure you're taken care of. Overall Angie, and her colleague, Stashia, were professional and friendly. Everyone else needs to work on smiling and pretend to enjoy working in customer service. This is the reason why people have different feelings when checking in, half the staff is unfriendly and half the staff is great. The good staff are all working together on the same shift and the unfriendly staff are working together. That's my observations from staying here for 7 days! This hotel is on the older side but all I ask for is a comfy bed and workable sink/shower. Took 3 tries to get peace. read more

Opted for this hotel because of the close proximity to the Metro, to get me back to DC. I never stayed in this part of Virginia and figured, why not? I arrived almost two hours prior to check-in, they didn't haggle me about it and gave me a key. The room was a basic double room, nothing fancy about it. This surely wasn't the base Hilton I've stayed at, but was more suitable. The bed was on the smaller side and the pillows were awful. Aside from that, the room was just fine. As I mentioned before, the Metro is right downstairs, which makes this a perfect stay if you want to go back and forth to DC or even to Maryland for your stay. read more

Good hotel for business travel. Pretty central to much of the Ballston, Courthouse, Arlington area with walk ability to many restaurants and shopping. Close access to I-66 and DC a few stops away on Metro. Easy in and out, parking in the metro station structure is super close and there is elevator access directly to the hotel and conference center. Decent rooms. Very functional space for a business traveler. I've stayed here a few times...certainly not the level of the Ritz in Tysons but it'll get the job done! read more

This Hilton is in a nice area. So many places to go to within walking distance. They have self parking available for a daily fee. The parking spots are a bit small, but they work. Could be difficult to maneuver with a large vehicle. You can check-in using the Hilton app if you want to skip in person check-in, want to use a digital key, and pick your own room from what is available. However, if you have a certain Hilton Honors level, you may be able to get two free bottles of water at the front desk. The staff was very nice and friendly. Chatted with customers, helped find places to go, and even brought up our free breakfast vouchers when we forgot to get them. The hotel is pretty nicely kept. The room was clean and had everything we needed to include iron and ironing board and mini fridge. They even provide all of the body wash, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, etc. The only thing was that the shower curtain had a little bit of a moldy-ish smell, but wasn't bad. Overall, nice place. The pros: Excellent location--you're close to the metro, taxis are almost always outside, and it's centrally located The rooms are functional Housekeeping and security staff are SUPER friendly Despite the location, you don't hear a lot of outside noise The wifi wasn't super slow The cons: Front desk staff were hit or miss--sometimes they were friendly (usually the morning folks), sometimes they were abysmal (there's a younger guy that works some evenings that is AWFUL and I had to listen to two staff bicker for ten minutes while I waited to ask a simple question another day) Rooms desperately need updating (chipped paint, a 70's outlet in the bathroom literally had caught on fire at some point, etc.) The room wasn't that clean (I just LOVE finding hairs all in the shower and pieces of toilet paper on the bathroom floor when I walk in...) The a/c units are LOUD LOUD LOUD You could do worse, but you could likely do better. Apparently the Westin a couple of blocks away is far better. read more

This hotel is definitely in the middle of it all for Arlington in the Ballston neighborhood. This area is a hotbed of development with a lot going on with plenty of restaurants and other businesses to entertain you. This location is right next to Arlington National Cemetery and the Ballston metro which can usually get you around the Washington D.C. metro area easily. I had better expectations. While the staff are nice, the hotel needs some updating and improvement. I stayed at the club floor and as a diamond member...I enter the executive lounge and no complimentary alcohol. I mean how is this a lounge? There's complimentary breakfast and then it closes until 5pm to 7pm (dinner time ). The access continues until 10:30 (snacks and basic beverages). The parking is underground and a pain! It never recognizes my hotel card and I'd have to call for help each time! Come on Hilton! read more

We stay here for a couple of nights and has Hilton diamond members. We were given access to the club lounge in a room at the club level. The lounge doesn't sit on the level but it's actually encased inside the restaurant downstairs. Breakfast is available every morning over there in the restaurant and lounge share a common buffet breakfast, which actually makes life a little bit easier. The breakfast buffet consists of pastries, some hot food, toast, juice, fruit, and espresso machine is a nice touch exclusively to the lounge. They have paid parking lot by them, which is a little more reasonable compared to the ones in downtown DC. However, it is disappointing that they do not have an EV charging station. The hotel itself is centrally located to wonderful restaurants in Arlington area. There's a train station right next to it that takes you to downtown DC. It is highly convenient. I wish the managers reception every evening in the lounge did not exclusively have just a single hot item, especially when it was made with crabcakes. A lot of people can be allergic to shellfish so that was a bummer. The restaurant has a very basic menu, especially for alcohol. I would rather go next-door to some of the nicer, pubs and restaurants to grab a drink. The staff is really nice here and for the price this hotel is pretty good. Rating is based solely on the room. Size was ok for location. Not a handicap room but bathroom did not have a door. It had a sliding wall to block entrance. Gross. Shower was walk in, no tub. Walls are thin. My room was adjoined and I could hear everything in the other room. Even just them talking tv, etc. Got a note under the door hot water might be shut off for 6 hours one day. Parking is 20 bucks a day even if you stay for a week or more. Breakfast is 20 bucks onto the stay each day. You're either staying here for the points or because someone else booked the room for you. Hilton how far you've fallen!!! Stayed in Arlington Hilton for a business trip and was sad to see how poorly Hilton service has become in the aftermath of the pandemic. This hotel has two elevators that are constantly packed and the stairs are marked as alarmed which dissuades people from getting to their meetings on time. The restaurant is under construction so the breakfast was crap. Unfortunately I was unwell and went down to the front desk to ask if they had some Tylenol. The manager told me to go down the street to the drugstore. I expect that level of service from a motel 6 but NOT A HILTON!!! Sad. read more

I wanted to give this hotel a shout out because of the wonderful accommodations they provided for my folks who visited my family over the fourth of July weekend. All four people flew in from out of town and stayed at the hotel for four days. The staff were extremely helpful on a number of occasions, and they always were super nice to everyone. Even. I was pleasantly surprised during my interactions, for the times that I came to visit. This wasn't just an ordinary hotel stay for my people,it was a truly exceptional experience. Great stay. Reasonable prices especially for NYE. The room was clean. The shower fixtures were secure. Nothing like a leaky faucet head that sprays everywhere. The bed was a great size. The pillows weren't soggy like at most hotels. The noise level was very quiet. I actually didn't hear any other residents. The best part about this stay was the late check out. Check out is at noon, but we were able to check out by 1pm. Oh and for late night food after the festivities have ended, there's a IHOP right across the street. read more

Stay here for 2 nights during my recent business trip to Arlington. It has a great location next to Ballston metro and surrounded by great restaurants, shopping and office building. The staffs are friendly and welcoming, give me free room upgrade with diamond status. There is executive lounge that offer free breakfast and evening snacks. Standard breakfast not the best I had but it did the job. The room is spacious and clean with comfortable bed. There is Starbucks next to it if you are its fan. The only minus I would say is feel that it is slightly dated, a remodel will be good. read more

We just stayed here this past week (May 2021) and I am glad we did. I highly recommend this hotel. Perfect location within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Starbucks, Steakhouse, Barber Shop and other restaurants here within feet of the hotel. IHOP is across the street. Great workout facility, wonderful staff, very clean hotel, safe garage parking as well. Spacious room, we stayed on the 4th floor. What I like best is that the hotel connects to an indoor walk way to the Ballston Courter aka mall. When it comes to hotels, I'm a Hilton girl all the way. I've never had an issue with any of my stays at Hilton brand facilities, but this location left a lot to be desired. Hilton has a "Make it right" promise, but when your flight is delayed multiple times and you arrive after 2am, all you want to do is sleep. I chose to use the digital key through the Hilton app, which didn't work for the front door that was locked for safety after midnight when I arrived. The front desk employee was obviously annoyed when I buzzed to enter, even though I smiled and apologized for bothering him. This was after I struggled to figure out which door to use to enter while several employees watched me, sitting outside on their smoke breaks. Once I got to my room, I wanted nothing more than to collapse in my comfy king bed and sleep until checkout. The minute I opened the door, my nose was assaulted with a foul odor that I can only describe as musty and stale. I hunted around the room, trying to find the source of the offensive smell. It wasn't trash, the HVAC unit, the toilet, or mini fridge; things improved a little with turning the air up, but the smell was still there. Because it was after 2am at this point, I made the decision to try to live with the stench, because I didn't think the grumpy front desk employee would be too helpful, considering how pleasant he was when letting me in minutes before. Unfortunately, I heard my neighbor's TV all night through the thin walls. In the morning, I utilized the mobile app checkout feature so I didn't have to interact with staff and quickly excited, hoping my Hilton Garden Inn in Georgetown would be better for the next two nights (spoiler alert: it was fabulous!!). I wouldn't stay at this particular Hilton property again, but I'm still a loyal Hilton Honors girl, despite this less than stellar experience. read more

Stayed here 6 nights to attend a basketball game and do some sightseeing. Stars for location, access to metro and decent dining choices. Otherwise the hotel room I had, 542, was noisy. Mostly from the street, barking dogs, backup warning horns from trucks and the rest. Also stopped receiving lotion and shampoo from housekeeping. So stars off for those and the fact that a deluxe king size room was so small. For the price I expected more. Next time will probably try to find another place to stay. read more

After a very pleasant reservation process, I was sent to "listen to a message for 500 points". After a few minutes discussion we learned that the reservation clerk should have said "Work through a phone tree and listen to some boiler plate and answer a series of increasingly intrusive questions about employment and marital status" until you and the person gives up and you don't get the 500 points (worth about $2.50). the person on the line was quite happy with me walking away with this bait-n-switch impression (no points for me), and apologised that the reservation people often did not explain what I was headed into, as if that made it right. Not free parking on site. Why pay for what Holiday Inns give you as part of their basic rate? Because you are either staying here because you have to, or you self-identify with the brand "Hilton Girl all the way" and want to pay more for less. I stay at Hilton's when I have to. While there I enjoyed a great check in process, where they saved me money, which was nice. no safe wifi without VPN. the non-working escalator kept the group together because you had to walk up these stairs (unless it was art, it could have been art, a grant stair case that looked like an escalator, a visual pun, "thiiis is not an escalator"). meh. The Hilton Arlington is our first choice for lodging the next time we're in the DC area. Our recent stay was outstanding. Of course not everything is going to be perfect in a hotel - any hotel that is. A curious buzz, like a wasp, emanated from our bathtub. The buzz was noticeable, and the hotel wasn't able to quickly fix it. But we were graciously offered another room. However, because we couldn't hear the buzz when the door was closed, and we were already settled into an extremely comfortable room, we declined Hilton's offer. The point is that even though we declined the room, the hotel offered us a whole bunch of gold points as a solution. That worked. But speaking of our room's ultra comfort, it was so quiet we felt like we were the only guests in the hotel, and we never heard any outside noise. Sheets, towels and other amenities were superb. WiFi was speedy and reliable. What contributes to five stars for the Hilton Arlington is that Ballston Station of the Metro Orange LIne is literally right outside the front door. It takes only 10-15 minutes to go from Ballston to Metro Center in downtown DC. I can't overstate how convenient it is to be staying right next to a Metro station! We just checked it out briefly, but from the hotel if you walk down several corridors and through a couple office buildings, you'll find yourself at the four-story Ballston Common Mall. Typical mall outlets, with Macy's as the anchor store. A multi-screened theatre is in the mall. But the best, absolutely best, part about our stay at the Hilton was customer service. Every single staff member was respectful, warm and accommodating. That includes front desk, valet, restaurant, bar and housekeeping. All our needs were met. High props to General Manager Ray Green, who stopped by at breakfast and introduced himself. This was my finest hotel experience ever. read more
