It was my first time visiting Washington DC. Wanted to stay somewhere convenient to all the tourist site and Hyatt Centric Arlington was the perfect location. Check in and check out was a breeze. The front staff were very nice. The room was very clean, comfortable bed, small fridge that actually worked, on-site self parking ($35 per night). Subway was a short walk from the hotel, nearby restaurants, Target & Safeway was right down the street. We always enjoyed staying at Hyatt property and this location is no exception. If we ever come back to visit, I would definitely stay here again. read more

The hotel and amenities were great! Comfortable bed, fragrant amenities, clean room, everything is great. However, the service was subpar. It was hit or miss how welcoming the receptionists are. Every time I requested help, it didn't really seem like they cared too much. Also, do yourself a favor and request a room further away from the elevators. On my first night I got a room that was right next to one, the noise kept me up at night. I was a little bothered by how I asked for water late at night, and the receptionist told me to go buy it at their little snack corner. It seems a little BS to spend $5 on water, which is a basic need that most hotels provide for free. Location is convenient, close to a food court, Safeway, Target, and many nearby chain restaurants (i.e., Cava, Bethesda Bagels) to grab food. Beautiful hotel! Very clean and well lit. It's near a lot of restaurants, offices and 12 minutes from the airport.

We were in town to explore DC. My daughter chose this location and it was a great choice. Our plane landed at 3:50pm so after getting the rental car, we arrive after check-in started so we were able to check-in upon arrival. Check-in was fast, staff was courteous, and our room was clean and spacious. They gave valet parking for $45/night and in the same garage there's parking for $35 through Spot Hero. Access to the Metro station is right out the back doors where you can easily get on heading to DC. Had we known it's conveniently located, we could've skipped the rental car. There's a small snack area near the front desk. There's also a Target and Starbucks is a short walk up the street. If I ever return to the DMV area, I'll definitely stay again. read more

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Probably the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life (and I have traveled widely). Luiz "Beto" and Mahmut, front desk/guest service supervisors, were rock stars in my book. When my parents and I arrived at the property to check in for our 5-night stay, there was an issue with the plumbing in our room, and because the hotel was completely booked for the night, Mahmut insisted that we spend the first night of our stay at their sister Hyatt location across town at a deeply discounted price, that he pay for our Uber ride to and from, and that we enjoy the (outstanding!) breakfast buffet for free the next morning back at the Hyatt Centric Arlington. He also brought us complimentary drinks while we waited for our Uber. THEN, upon check-in at the Hyatt Centric the following evening, we were greeted in our room by a personal note, a complimentary bottle of wine, and a display of artisan chocolate truffles the likes of which I have honestly never seen before in room service. Furthermore, for the duration of our stay, anything and everything that we expressed the slightest interest in from the hotel commissary was given to us free of charge. Everyone we interacted with at the front desk was warm, kind, friendly, hospitable, and an absolute pleasure to work with. They truly treated us like family, and I am just so grateful for the wonderful 5-star service we received, particularly since I was traveling with my elderly parents during this stay. Beautiful hotel in a lovely location convenient to all DC attractions, and just a short and very enjoyable walk away from Georgetown. We are here while we were on vacation and had a good time! Just past the lobby area there are stairs that'll take you up to their modern lounge area where you can sit at the bar and arch sports or have a seat at one of their tables to enjoy a face to face meal with your loved ones! To drink I had the mango margarita which was very strong but so good! If you're also a mango lover I would highly recommend this drink! We were on the move to other places as well so I kept it simple and ordered the truffle fries appetizer and a Caesar salad to eat. The salad was larger than what I had anticipated which I was pleasantly surprised by, and the truffle fries were an absolute home run, along with the tasty aioli! Next time I am in the area I might try staying at the hotel, as it's conveniently located to a lot of restaurants and shops in the area and the staff was super friendly as well! read more

Very impressed with the hotel and my stay. I arrived to a tight valet parking entrance. I gave the valet my key and said keep the car for the night. Once inside, I was greeted by the hotel staff. They gave me a brief run down about the hotel and how to retrieve my car the next morning. Fan-say! Once I get my room key, I'm whisked up to my room. I make sure l have the proper soaps and towels and then I head out the door. The hotel is situated close to the walking bridge to Georgetown. No Uber needed, I walked over a mile, had a nice dinner and then hailed an Uber back. My room had a comfortable bed, a nice shower and I felt like a million bucks the next day. I texted for my car, that service doesn't work! The front desk had to intervene, no biggie. Nice overnight stay, I would return. read more

We stayed here as part of a large school group. The hotel is in a perfect location and is ideal for those looking to be near the Pentagon, Crystal City or DC. We loved the comfortable and spacious rooms, the price and the location. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but this is to be expected in DC. The staff was really nice and professional. One lesser known fact is that the parking deck that served as the secret meeting location between the FBI informant (deep throat) and the Washington Post writer (Bob Woodward) regarding the Watergate scandal is directly across the street. If you want an affordable hotel that is a short drive to DC or walking distance to Arlington, this is a great location. read more

Woken up at 6:00a by wake up call we did not request. Oof. Was promised no parking fee as a make good for checkin snafu. What stands out to me was the outstanding guest service and the high quality breakfast. I arrived quite late and walked over from the Rosslyn station, a fairly short walk. The check in was quick and the gentleman at the desk was very nice, he stood out for striving to offer the best experience and I appreciated that, i think he was the night manager. The room was 821 and looked out to Rosslyn - a nice view especially at night. The room was very fair in price and a great size. I like the decorations as well, gave it a personalized DC feel. I was in the room only from the late evening until early morning before checking out. The winner was the breakfast. The options were more expansive than usual and some excellent items not typically seen including variety of beverages and jams. The food was very fresh and that also stood out that it did not seem like it was sitting around and ignored. It might be the best breakfast I have had in DC since I moved away from DC in 2022 (founding farmers and Ambar are hard to beat for brunch). I thought it was a great place to stay near the Rosslyn Metro Station. The location is exceptional. Everything you can possibly need or want is close by. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, and places to see. There was even a beer garden nearby. Just an awesome part of town. The staff were all wonderful. They greeted me every time I entered or left the hotel. I felt safe being in a room on the 16th floor. The bed was comfortable. There was even a motion sensor night light at the foot of the bed which I thought was very smart. The shower has great water pressure, and the bathroom was a good size. I didn't opt for house cleaning so I can't comment on that. I was only there for 2 nights. I can't comment on the restaurants in the hotel either. If I had to say anything negative it would be that they put me in a room next to the elevator which my husband explicitly told them in the online booking not to do. I didn't complain about it. But, I did overhear another guest complaining that she was in a room by the elevator. So, I guess this is something that they do often. Maybe because of staff shortages but I did see other guests in rooms away from the elevator. I probably should have asked to move to another room, but I was hungry and tired after my trip. I just wanted to get settled in. That's the only reason why I took off a star. Other than that, everything was great. The check in and check out process was smooth. There is a staff member in the lobby 24/7 which is great. I totally recommend this hotel. My husband will be staying there sometime in the near future, so we'll see how it goes for him. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Hyatt centric Arlington. They have multiple options for tea and coffee and your room with the Keurig. The beds are comfy, the staff is friendly, and there's easy access to the metro to DC and surrounding areas. While we did not try the restaurant, there are so many options, easily walkable from this location. We had such a good time on our stay and would highly recommend staying here to anyone in the DC or Arlington area. read more

Hats off to the Hyatt Centric for another flawless performance regarding our group tour's stay. We have been staying here for years so it feels wonderful to come back for a new season and still see familiar faces like GM Roger and their MVP breakfast attendant, Simo. They treated us like family. For instance, one of our tour guest had requested some honey from Simo at our first breakfast. She was amazed the next morning when he approached her as she came to the buffet line and handed her another small bottle of honey without her even asking for it! This kind of hospitality is a major reason our tour company loves this property. Let me start by saying that I am a Hyatt Fan, a member and any chance I get I will pick a Hyatt. I've never been to the Hyatt Centric so I was excited to see what the difference was. It's definitely modern; a little smaller than the other Hyatt's I've been too. They do a decent job keeping up to date with Covid- Restrictions, Rules and Regulations. The reason this gets a 3 star is simply because I was not a fan of all the staff, specifically the night management. Every Hyatt I've been to gives me everyday if requested, 2 complimentary waters due to the fact that I am a discoverist member. When I went to go request it, the manager seemed extremely bothered then proceed to raise his voice to lecture me that I could take the waters but not to get accustom to this because all Hyatt don't do this. I honestly didn't care for his lecture but his raising his voice was uncomfortable and unnecessary. In addition, the parking is $32 a night. That is way too much for parking but outside of those 2 major things. The pros is that it's across the street from the Metro train and several places such as restaurants, gyms and etx. It's a great location if you're going to be traveling to visit the White House or D.C. itself. read more

Sleepless Night for LTC burial at Arlington Cemetary We booked several rooms for my Dad's burial at Arlington National Cemetary to make sure we were in place for the 1pm service. We requested allergy free rooms on our double bed reservations. When my aunt arrived we discovered not only was there a king bed, the bedding was made with feathers. The manager on duty Mustaf said he would get the room changed and also make sure our other rooms were feather free. When the rest of the family arrived I asked again about the rooms being feather free. I was assured the issues were resolved and the rooms would be correct. Of course when we got to the rooms the beds had feather filled spreads and all of the pillows were feather, except two in each room. We are highly allergic to feathers. Any exposure to allergens can cause anaphylaxis. After finally going to bed at 2 am, to be ready for the burial in the morning, we were abruptly awake by the sounds of construction at 6am. Our family picked this hotel as the number one choice per trip advisor. There was no warning of possible noise or health hazard to our family. The General Manager Roger had no concern for our emotional day ahead, no compassion and I had to ask for useless ear plugs. He offered to comp valet parking and breakfast. I want what I paid for but did not get and that is a restful night of sleep. We had five rooms in the hotel and at this point I feel like the stole our money and peace. read more

I didn't stay at the hotel but met some friends at the bar for drinks and food. I had some friends staying at the hotel that inviting me over drinks and food. I came over and enjoyed the food and drinks. Hakim, the bartender, was awesome and super nice. I came back 3 nights in a row because Hakim was a rockstar . Just a note to anyone that might work in law enforcement, don't come here if bartender Valentina is working. We had an exceptional stay at the Hyatt Centric in general but I took off a star because we requested housekeeping one day before we ventured out at 8am, as they suggested, and they never came. In general though, spectacular stay. Rooms were pretty quiet. Very clean. Good service when I called, they were helpful and quick to resolve any needs. It's about 2 blocks uphill from the Rosslyn Metro stop. Super easy to make your way into DC but the walk uphill with luggage (and a kid) was a haul!! Going back down with luggage was a breeze! Not their fault at all- but maybe consider alternative transport upon arrival and consider Metro to get back to the airport upon departure. I've already recommended the hotel to others as we have nothing bad to say. We'll be back! read more

Stayed here for a couple of days over Labor Day weekend, and I have to say that I was truly impressed. For starters the hotel is literally one block from the Metro (DC's public train system). From Rosslyn station you're only a few stops from Reagan National Airport - 10 minutes tops. Secondly let's talk about the staff. One word: Outstanding. Each person we ran into (especially Robert at the front desk) was friendly, professional, and truly wanted to know how our stay was and if everything was going well. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Bed was very comfortable. We didn't get a chance to eat at the hotel but there are lots of options within a 2 block walk from the front doors. The area around the hotel was pretty absent of people at night but we didn't feel unsafe. Highly recommend this hotel. In fact I'm booking here again for later in the year. read more

What a fantastic location. No need to get a car, the metro is so close and the station Had access to the blue, orange, and silver lines. I would expect the hotel rooms to be a tad bit cleaner because of COVID, but that wasn't the case for my room. Dust on the headboard, stains on the coffee table, and caked up dust from the bathroom vents are not a good look for the Hyatt. Each room should undergo an extreme deep cleaning after each guest departs from their visit. Leaving these spots untouched in I don't know how long isn't quite appeasing to a guest when we're trying to do our part to keep everyone safe and healthy. Other than that, the rest of the hotel looked really clean and immaculate. Customer service at the front lobby was very polite. I didn't get a chance to check out their restaurant, but it looked really cozy and inviting. I couldn't tell if social distancing was being enforced. If you opted to get hotel parking, your garage access may or may not be enabled on your card. Just press the assistance button and someone will be with you in a matter of a few seconds to grant you access. Hand sanitizer stations were placed everywhere throughout the hotel for your convenience. You have plenty of options for food within walking distance from the hotel. This hotel is cute and chic...very new age and high tech; however, it missed the mark on a few of the other intricacies that make a hotel worth while. A friend and I got this room for a quick evening after having too much fun at an outdoor social event and realizing we couldn't drive back (thank God for Ubers and last minute hotel apps). The room had unique features such as a digital clock in the bathroom mirror, a bathroom door that assists in shutting itself, motion-sensored lights under the bed frame that light up when you get out of the bed in the dark...excellent. The less than 4 stars part: super thin walls! I could hear our neighbors all throughout the night. I could hear people in the hallway, doors opening and shutting. I was even woken up by the smell of cigarette smoke lingering into our room. In addition, the bed was HARD! So hard that I thought I was the only one with hip pains in the middle of the night until my friend said she had hip pains too. HIP pains?! For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anything other than a quick resting pit stop, but with the hard bed and thin walls, can you even get a restful sleep? Idk... read more

The hotel is great! It's clean and the front desk employees are really friendly and helpful. The rooms have a Keurig, but only one regular coffee, a decaf, and two tea k-cups. Could use more regular coffee and more creamers. Each room has a cute little fridge and a safe, which is always nice. No microwave in the room, which, um, how am I supposed to heat up my Tupelo Honey leftovers?? Oh, yeah, I can either go to the lobby or to the 12th floor and use their microwave. Perfectly located for those willing to walk to get a few places. The metro is close by. Lots of different places to eat. Super close to Arlington Cemetery. We have not had one negative encounter with ANYONE while here! I'm quickly falling in love with this city and the people! An added bonus: I'm getting one hell of a booty workout with all these hills!! Things out of the hands of the inhabitants of Arlington: the blue line metro derailed and there was another problem in the subway system. However, Uber's are really reasonably priced and the remaining functioning metro lines have picked up the slack to make sure everyone gets to where they need to go. I wanted to take a moment to share my latest experience in the Hyatt Centric in Arlington. We have been coming here for years, and have always had a great stay, but I would be remiss if I did not make note of the exceptional reception and care we received during our 12/2024 visit. Our stay was truly exceptional, and we cannot speak highly enough about the amazing employees who made our stay unforgettable. Roger and Waluka make sure everything is prepped for our arrival and that any new employees greet us as if they have known us for years. They even know which rooms are our favorite, what type of wine we like and have it ready for us in the room. This time we also received homemade Christmas cookies which were delicious! Emmy has my breakfast preferences down to a tee and shows up with my Non-fat Latte and then brings me an unsweetened iced tea to go! Qua is always on top of anything that needs to be fixed and is so friendly. Naj, Amir and Lifen keep us entertained in the restaurant in the evening and provide special treats for the dog. All the staff goes way above and beyond to ensure that we felt overwhelmingly welcomed and cared for throughout our visit. The longevity of the staff over the years is apparent, and it is clear that Roger takes great care of his team. Their dedication and warmth truly sets the Hyatt Centric apart from any other hotel, and we wanted to make sure they all received the recognition they deserve. Overall: Fine. As an interior designer, I am quick to notice details, especially ones I'm not fond of, and I will share them here. There were redeeming qualities as well. - they made updates to the room in the past decade, but some things really flopped. The carpet is so cheap, I can hear the crunching beneath me. The contractor they had must not have been very good because the carpet didn't even reach the walls in some spots, and looks like it was installed after the wall base, which is very strange. -the room is super small. I hardly had space to fit my suitcase. There's only about 36" around each bed (if that). -hallway lighting and design is AWFUL. I know they're blue tones, but I'm sorry. You should not have lighting with a temperature above 3500k, or even 3000k, in a hotel hallway. It is so bright, I feel like I'm walking through a sterile hostel. This should be corrected. The ceilings were also low, but there's not much you can do about that. -the bathroom IS nice. Tile is clean and upgraded. -coffee machine is nespresso, which is a plus -beds feel fairly firm. Not as fluffy as most hotels. I still got a good nights sleep. The sheets feel different than cotton, like some kind of cooling sheet. I liked it. -desk space was generous, and I liked the light at the desk (which a comment below complained about) -hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, tho we really didn't need much. -lobby is cute, but pretty small. If I had to pay any more for this hotel ($110) I would be more upset. Although parking overnight was $32, but that's just the game you play when parking in a city. We stopped just for a night to check out DC and continue on our way to our beach vacation, and this was fine for that. Had we stayed longer or made a real trip out of it, I may have tried to find a boutique hotel or something with a little more pizzaz. read more

The rooms are very small so it's not really well suited for a family of 4. The refrigerator was also so loud we had to unplug it because the sound was very disturbing when we were trying to sleep. Overall the bathroom was very clean but they were short on body wash and shampoo but luckily housekeeping was close by to get some extra toiletries. During our stay 2 of the 3 elevators broke and people were waiting 35 minutes to get up to their room. We had to walk up to the 11th floor to get to our room. The garage is really tight and seems a bit shady for my liking. read more

We had a two night stay while on a bus trip with Starr Tours. Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and I liked having the Nespresso coffee maker to jump- start my day until the breakfast buffet opened. The gentleman working the buffet couldn't have been more helpful, replacing the empty coffee urn and bringing more to-go cups very quickly and with a smile, despite having his hands full with a busy dining room. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. read more

I booked this hotel for February 12th, 2022 to February 13th, 2022. They were very accommodating considering I made the reservations an hour or two before showing up. Unfortunately I only spent on night in the hotel and didn't have time to explore it. The front desk area had great vibes and I loved the decoration style. My room was well clean and beautiful as well. From what I could see outside of the window late at night, there wasn't much of a view. There was someone at the front desk for my 4am check out and I appreciated that. Hyatt Arlington at 1325 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, Virginia (or the neighborhood better known as Rosslyn) is a perfect stay for visitors out of town, conference or meeting attendees, or even staycation locals! We took advantage of a staycation local celebratory weekend at the Hyatt Arlington.  Our one-night stay at the beautiful hotel just steps away from the Rosslyn Metro station, and just over the bridge from Georgetown was excellent!  Weekend Front Desk staff are superb!  And weekend bell staff are extremely helpful! The location itself really can't be beat.  A perfect mixture of Meeting Space, Food & Beverage outlets (restaurants & bars), and accessibility to everything Arlington or Washington DC related. The modern hotel is a short 2 miles from the Lincoln Memorial and 3 miles from the White House. Recently done rooms and suites have flat-screen TVs, Free WiFi, iPod docking stations and ample work areas.  The other amenities include a Contemporary American restaurant, a Bar, a 24-hour exercise room, and a 24-hour business center. The stay. My wife and I were here during cherry blossom season, and this Hyatt was convenient located and only 10-15 minutes away from all the action. There are also many different restaurants within a 2 block radius that will cater to your liking. I didn't like how the bed was so squeaky and it just felt it was worn out. (We got a king size bed) The smell of the room and the bathroom did smell clean, so that was good. However, upon coming in, before using the bathroom, I realized that there were 2 dried urine drops and blood from somebody's period on the rim of the toilet. I know I know, its a toilet. But I just checked into this room. Shouldn't it be completely clean? It made me wonder if anything else was clean. The service. After I discovered the issue mentioned above, I called the front desk ASAP. Julie at the front desk picked up and was very nice. The late person, Nate, that gives your room supplies and I guess cleans was very courteous and did a good job in cleaning what the cleaning person couldn't. My wife and I couldn't sleep during our whole stay at the Hyatt Arlington because the bed and pillow was just too saggy. Also note that, there are 16 floors, we were put on the 14th. You can still hear cars from this high up. In addition, for those fellow T-Mobile phone users, please be warned that T-Mobile oddly does not work in this hotel. The front desk people tell me its an issue of T-Mobile not having a tower installed in the area. However, if you step outside of the hotel, and even across the street at Panera bread, I get my LTE speeds. I don't think they're lying though, because when I dine at some restaurants within a 1-2 block radius, I also don't get reception. Perhaps its a weak signal? Anyway, just beware, that if you need your phone for either calling or surfing the web, your T-Mobile service would not work... And you'll be forced to purchase an internet plan which I believe was 6-7 dollars a night. I just think its kind of ridiculous to charge people for a data plan simply because T-Mobile doesn't work too well in this neighborhood. If you call the front desk, they will have a person with your request item within 10 minutes, such as a box of tissues, or a foam pillow. I thought that was amazing. Although the staff here was very nice and accommodating; the overall cleanliness of the hotel was on par. My wife and I only book Hyatt, however, I would not be returning to this Hyatt. Free WiFi should be something standard to all that can prove they are T-Mobile customers. Next time I go to DC, I'll be trying the Hyatt near The White House, or Capitol Building. read more

I love the location of this Hyatt. It's the closest to the Rosslyn metro station you can possibly get. A few stops and you're in the heart of everything in DC. There's a cafe (serves one flavor of Starbucks) by the lobby that converts into a bar at night. There's a restaurant too called "CityHouse." I didn't get a chance to try it out because there were better places to spend my dollars and calories. I do like that the elevators require room card access after 8 PM. There is free wifi in the lobby, but not in your rooms. I don't get how expensive hotels charge for wifi yet cheaper places it's free, like the Courtyard of Marriott. Even Holiday Inn down the street has free Wifi. The room itself is small. With the double beds, the room is very tight, so I don't get why there were all these extra pieces of furniture, ie a chair, end table, and a big floor lamp crowded into the window side of the room. There are blackout curtains between the sheer drapes and the window. I think the noise insulation was pretty good. I couldn't really hear the neighbors. The jets flying overhead were barely audible. The AC rumbles on, waking the dead. When it's not on, it was insanely hot and stuffy. There were only sheets between the comforter and you. No duvet covers. Definitely low thread count sheets. I like to bring my own "cocoon" to sleep in. Housekeeping didn't do a good job preparing our room for check-in because there were a pile of dirty towels on the shower curtain rod and hair on the disposable coffee cup and telephone cord. Gross! There was some confusion about when they were shutting down the water to fix the water main, but it got delayed. Otherwise, the hotel room wasn't bad. read more

I chose this hotel for a business trip because I am a Hyatt Globalist. There were zero perks for status other than the free breakfast buffet which was good. The service in the restaurant was good and nice view each morning. The room was small, bathroom very small, greeted by a couple cockroaches upon entry. I didn't even bother complaining because 1) I live in a climate where cockroaches are frequent visitors in my home so they don't bother me and 2) the hotel was clearly booked solid with no other rooms available and obviously no upgrades for a Globalist. I was a little concerned with roaches on such a high floor, but I didn't see additional evidence of pests and didn't have much in the way of options. The Hyatt Centric portfolio continues to amaze me because they all seem so trendy and unique, but every time I stay at one, I'm disappointed. For $350+ a night I was expecting a nicer room overall and a more spacious bathroom. read more
