He had some ideas on what might have happened after my discussion and he scheduled me for repairs for the next day. Mark and Anthony replaced two big broken door-lift springs, replaced two badly bent roller brackets, lubed all hinges and tuned the action of the door-lift motor. All for a reasonable cost. Their work was excellent and completed within an hour. I chatted with them as they worked and learned quite a lot about my garage doors. Unbeknown to me, one of the door springs broke years ago, and the second spring just broke and made it impossible to lift the door. I wondered about the weight of my big 16' x 7' Wayne Dalton insulated doors and was surprised that they weigh about 500 lbs!

Built a shed Building a garage , Bought compressors And nail guns. Put in a deck Put in an overhang over said deck. From cedar shingling to stainless steel deck screws. Customer service is.....NOT hands on. If you're used to a guy in every isle like lowes....you're going to be unhappy. But they have it. I don't drive 2 hours to Home Depot to avoid going to sbs because the selection is better (which it…read moreis) or the products are better (which they are) or the prices are better (which they are). I do it because the staff at sbs are unacceptably rude. Folks here act like they are doing you a favor. You know the drill, entitled staff that avoid being helpful and are rude and put out when you ask for assistance. Forget about trying to return something. It is a 30 minute process. Seriously hit up Home Depot or lowes before coming to sbs in homer.

We have so very many issues with the home Short Services built for us. They charged us twice what…read morethey should have and delivered less that standard service. The inspector that came in had nothing good to say about the build and was shocked at the work done on this cabin. There were gaps in the wans, the stairs don't measure the same from step to step ( it's like walking up the stairs when your drunk). Support posts fell down when pushed on, the house itself is sitting on helical coils and flat plates that aren't even set in straight lines so in some places the house is barely sitting on the plate. There is nothing to keep the house on those plates if we have a couple good earthquakes. There is so much wrong with this place I can't even list them all. This is all just structural stuff, cause we only had him build the structure. My kids are finishing everything else. He charged us for just the structure, nothing finished, what it cost me for the second house finished. When asked if he would come fix the items on the list he told my husband that he is not going to fix anything and will not do the second cabin we wanted, that he set the coils for. We had to have some one else come put in new coils because the one he did were unusable. I hope no one ever uses this company again, they are unsafe and unethical. Plus he uses his 12 yr to help build his shacks.
