When in the area on business with a colleague, our company car got a flat. Upon receiving my call, Bill asked what type of tires I was driving on, and like a dummy, I didn't know. Mr. Henwood took down our information, and drove the five minutes to our hotel and took down the tire information for himself not 5 minutes after I called! Even though we were fine and had been driving on the spare already for 24 hours. Not that he didn't have work to get to! Once we got the car into his shop, it was clear that many others shared our view that Bill is the best around. He took a look at our punctured tire, sealed it, and told us to bring the car back in an hour or so and he would change out the spare. We left his shop at 9 AM. At 10 AM he was ready for us. At 10:15 AM we had a car with four newly filled tires, floor mats, and a seat covering, and Bill was drying out our trunk's storage area which had leaked and was filled with water. At 10:20 AM, he handed us the bill. And what did he charge for all the extra first-class service? Ten bucks. Even though we couldn't have been more vulnerable to gouging if we had a sign on our car that said "Suckers on board". This was more than a good salesman, this was a good man, and I wish him all the best in life and business. Oh, and the reason he couldn't get to our car right away? He had to drive a 92-year-old patron home. He probably carried said patron up the stairs to his home as well, but now I am speculating.
