Don's wife Tracy worked with my wife to select Tile, hardware etc and she actually took her to the vendors. Don's team wrapped everything in our Master Bedroom, and put down runners on the floor. They actually carried 50 Gal drums of deconstructed tile out of the house vs rolling it. They cleaned up the floor of dust every day and did a very meticulous job. Don was actually on site most of the time and I actually just loaned him the key. We are very pleased and highly recommend his work.

I had experienced a lot of soil erosion in my front yard, and as a result there were large voids…read moreunder my stoop, steps, and sidewalk. I was afraid that the stoop and steps would cave in or move without support underneath, so I wanted the voids to be filled in. I obtained a price quote from Concrete Jack, which has an office in Richmond but does work in Northern Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, DC, and West Virginia. The price quote was reasonable, so I scheduled an appointment for them to do the work. I never saw them in person because they did the work when I was at my job during the day, but when I got home, I was pleased to see that the ground under my stoop and steps was now filled in with foam that provided support and kept animals and water out. If I had known about this service earlier, I would have advised my neighbors to use them rather than to entirely replace their shifting stoop, steps, and sidewalk with concrete for much more money. In addition, to foam jacking for sidewalks and driveways, this business also does foundation repair for homeowners and a variety of commercial repairs. Check out their website for a full list of services and photos of some of their past projects. * UPDATE: Months after I received this service, I put my house on the market to sell. The inspector said that the drill holes that Concrete Jack made in my stoop were for treating *termites*! I did NOT ever have termites, but the drill holes are just something to consider...

Hiring Craig Meadows of Multi Tech and Michael C. Brown, LLC to restore our home after a flood was…read morea huge mistake. It resulted in our taking our complaints to the Department of Professional Occupational Regulation in Richmond. They ended up finding them guilty of 6 violations including no contract, no building permit, and using unlicensed workers. They were fined and their license pulled until they paid (10 months later). Then we sued them for a bill filled with discrepancies and ended up settling out of court. It certainly would have been much wiser had we chosen another contractor.
