They are really friendly way cheaper than BMW and even Halfords (just had to get my brakes fixed as apparently running over little old ladies is frowned upon). They even have a car washing service that is great value for money if like me you're too lazy to do it yourself. They don't just service BMW's so whatever car you have they can help and they've been there for years, so they aren't some fly by night dodgy mechanic. Big thumbs up.

Cheaper than Halfords - and a great deal happier too!…read more I needed a new car battery, phoned round a few places but most would have to order in, Halfords on the other hand had what I wanted in stock. They had two types - normal (460 crank amps for those who know what I'm talking about) at £80 and £90 for the heavy duty battery (510 CA) and they were asking £4.99 to fit it - I worked that out to be nearly £60 per hour fitting! I found them a bit pushy and desperate for me to buy the more expensive battery. Reluctantly I phoned my main dealer as a last resort before parting with £95, Subaru are bound to be more expensive I thought. They had the heavy duty in stock, supplied fitted and VAT £80, saving myself £15 which I intend to spend down the pub on Friday - who says Main Dealers are pricey, well Woodford Motors are not. I must say that the staff at Woodford Motor Co were a lot more pleasant too (big bonus in my books), this is the first time I've used them and I was impressed with what I saw so I'll be back in August for a service... This company is a shambles. My partner bought a car from the Rayleigh branch under a year ago…read more About a month back, the car had an issue with the timing chain and they took the car in to fix. It sat in the same spot for 3 weeks, no one called or updated him about the car. He begged everyday for a call about the car, and someone (Kevin, Jo, Richard, etc) was going to call us back, and they didn't. The first call he received was to swap his car out for a temporary car so THEY didnt fail an audit. The absolute audacity to call when they want something, but not even update him on his car is dreadful. Turns out, after taking our time to drive to Richlee, Jo told us it was the hot potato no one wanted to deal with and hadn't even been looked at. Richard is never there, and when he is doesnt communicate with his staff, because allegedly Jo and the mechanics needed his go ahead to fix the vehicle and he didnt answer any calls. Then, they tried to charge him £1000+ for the fix, despite his paying out £500 for warranty on the car when purchased. This company are a bunch of money-grabbing, uncommunicative scam artists who couldn't organise a child's birthday party. Quite frankly its astounding this company still makes money and operates with the low level staff and dreadful owners they have. Shame on you Richlee. Finance a car from an actual dealer and not this useless company.
