I received estimates from four different companies and I chose Shannon Vaden. Some of the moisture damage was worse than initially thought. Shannon and his crew repaired all the items on the WDO, in addition, damage done to a load bearing wall from water leaking by a improperly sealed window frame. The repair required work on inner and external sides of the wall. Not only is Shannon very affable but honest with a strong work ethic. Not to mention he was very reasonable in his pricing. I highly recommend him.

I am pleased with the roof and True Force Roofing in regards to the new roof. But- I have called them 3 times over the past 7 days for a leak in the roof of another house I own. First, don't expect anyone with a pulse to answer the phone. I left a message (somehow expecting the same level of service as I got when I had them install a new roof). I called and left messages two more times in the next 6 days. Crickets. They disappointed me. I thought I found an exceptional company.

Any questions I had - I have never had a roof installed before- so I had no idea what to expect. Garrett helped with all my questions and concerns. I am very satisfied with the service and how my new roof looks, and no leaks! CON- There was one concern that was bothering me. The roofers that were installing the roof brought their ( must have been around four years old) child. I noticed the child in the truck when they pulled up to my house, but I figured they would be taking him home after they dropped off equipment, so I wasn't too concerned about it- but they did not bring the child home. When they had their lunch break- my husband went out and went told them the child could stay in our house and be safe from the construction, watch some TV, have a bathroom to use if needed. They told him they were bringing him home after lunch. They did not bring him home. Next thing I know, the child is running around the side of my house, he only had sandals on- with roofing nails, shingles, ect. I was very worried about that child- more than the parents were. They laughed at our concerns. I called True Roofing, and they had no idea about this. The child was there for the whole day- from around 8am to 6pm. No place for a young child. This was the only problem I had with this company, and wanted to share this so if you need your roof done- to be aware of what's going on with the people who are doing the work. I would have been devastated if anything happened to that child, and let True Roofing know this. Thank goodness that child was okay after the job was done- they didn't put safety shoes on him- and afterwards, when I went outside, the were roofing nails pointed up- so, it was very concerning. I wasn't sure how to handle this situation, honestly. I called True Roofing and told them, texted a picture of the child. Be aware, folks. Be home when you're having construction done and be aware of everything going on with it. After the job was finished, I spoke with Garrett, told him I was very happy with the roof- and asked about the child, if they spoke with the parents and he said it was taken care of- which I really hope it was. I needed to share this with you people out there and let you know, so you are aware this can- and DID happen. I do recommend this company to people- but keep watch on what's going on while it's being installed. Thank you for reading and letting me share. I will still give this company a 5 star rating- love the roof.

Some of the good companies I found do not cover Gainesville area. Then one my of neighbors recommended Retex. She had the roof done in August and Retex was the cheapest quote. So I called Retex, and the phone was answered right away (not like some other places I called). Wes met with me over zoom and went over the whole re-roofing process with a powerpoint presentation (what would be replaced and what might be extra). The quoted price wasn't the cheapest, but I liked how Wes went through the whole procedure, so I decided to go with Retex. The job was done promptly, the crew was courteous. Wes was very communicative during the whole process. What I liked the most is that whatever concern I had, Wes would address them until I am satisfied. Looking back, it would be an even better experience if I told them my expectations in detail before the job was done. There isn't much rain yet, but I believe the roof will hold up in heavy rains. Even if there is a problem, I am confident that Retex will come back and address it. I would definitely recommend Retex to friends.

I did and a nice gentleman whose name I have forgotten (I'm just horrible with names. I don't know what to tell you.) came out and gave me an estimate. The estimate was in the reasonable to inexpensive range and I set an appointment with them. They managed to get me in within a week. When the nice gentleman showed up, he asked me if I had gotten out the CD that was stuck in my car's player. Yes, I still have CD player in my car and I still play CDs on it. Well, I don't play CDs anymore because there's a CD stuck in the player. As I was telling him I had not, it occurred to me to wonder how he knew about the CD that had gotten stuck just a couple days before. Husband and I had been out in the middle of nowhere when this happened and the only place around was a bait and tackle shop. We stopped there to fiddle with things and eventually found ourselves in need of a pair of plyers. I went into the tackle shop and asked the half dozen people, "Does anyone have a pair of plyers I can use?" I do things like that. A nice gentleman told his son, "Go on out and help her." He did help me with the plyers, though the plyers did not help with my problem. I thanked the kid and gentleman and then Husband and I were on our way, listening to the radio. Turns out, same nice gentleman. I told you he was nice. He unobtrusively worked on the roof and went away. I paid Crosier. Everyone was happy. Until it rained. Then the roof leaked. Not nearly as bad as it had, but a little bit. I called. They were extremely apologetic and the nice gentleman was up on my roof the very next day. No fuss, no muss, no charge. And to be fair, a rain storm is really the only way to test the work. It was tested, found wanting and fixed. I also found the nice lady who handled the phone and billing to be quite pleasant and easy to work with. All around, it was a really good experience. I would use Crosier again, but I am really hoping I don't have to. I'm sure they understand.

There was nothing wrong, no leaks, all fine but the insurance company insisted. So, naturally I went back to Crozier. You won't need to look elsewhere for a roofer when you need one. Crozier will do the job correctly and for a fair price. I would not recommend or use any other company. Their workers are thorough, quick and courteous. They clean up when they have finished. The office staff are friendly and helpful. You don't need to look for anyone else. Just call Crozier and get the job done correctly.

Hesitantly, he said that the whole sidewalk would have to be taken out and redone. He showed me how the sidewalk would have puddles after rain right where people got out of their car. This gentlemen asked what the landscape was like previously, and I told him it was totally clear and I had 3 loads of top soil brought in and the yard was grated. He pointed out how the sidewalk around the entire house slanted in towards the house, instead of directing water away from the house. He showed me how the sidewalk should have been elevated somewhat so as to hold back mulch from one side of the walk and provide an edge for grass on the other. It was obvious that he was correct on both as mulch was getting mixed in with the gravel, and grass was already creeping on to the sidewalk. He even suggested that pavers that looked like bricks would have been a better choice as it would have provided the extra height that the walkway needed. He put his finger into the gravel and said it would not hold up for even 2 or maybe 3 years. (This was in the front of the house where the fines were not properly tamped down.) And if that wasn't bad enough he showed me how he would have quoted the job and it was 30% of what I paid Elite Landscaping and Design! If you're not sure of Mr. Pucket's work, just read his contract. Every single word slants in his favor and NOTHING is written to provide protection to the customer.
