I recently came upon my first time of dealing with an issue with my roof. A tree limb fell and busted a hole through it. My house was built in the 1950's, which also brings old house issues. Some things that I was looking for, watching, and generally noticed during my process of finding a roofing company: Locally Owned Solid customer service follow-up to my initial online request to companies. Better Business Bureau BBB profile (not just the rating) Google and other online reviews and referrals (i/e local facebook pages etc) How would they treat me, a woman, buying a roof? Did they ask me questions or try to address my concerns? Were they using quality materials and did they seem reliable to install it properly so that all warranties would hold up over time? After the consult, did they badger me or were they patient, or just not care and follow up at all? True Force ticked all those boxes for me, plus some. I am thrilled to be able to work with a company that is not only locally owned but also veteran-owned and operated. After getting quotes from a few companies, I researched things like their BBB pages, social media, and a google deep dive past my initial look at reviews. Though some companies boast a top BBB score, they have really bad customer service and it is evident by how they treat people submitting issues on their BBB page. Some companies tried to get me to sign a work release and give them the project before they inspected the roof or gave me a quote or work plan since my homeowners insurance would possibly cover some repairs. On my roof inspection Jake and Rodolfo introduced themselves, asked questions, did a walk of the property, got on the roof, etc then provided me with a presentation and quote. My experience with Jake and Rodolfo was fantastic, they were highly professional, kind and treated me with respect. One thing I appreciated was True Force was very clear with the terms of their company warranty and it's length. Most companies were saying "lifetime" which sounds like they get to decide if the "lifetime" is 10 years or 2 years based on how they feel at the time of the issue, no real time commitment to servicing any future issues that may arise. The professionalism of the sales team and online reviews made me confident that the company would not cut corners and compromise my home or any warranties purchased from the materials manufacturer (GAF). Chase was the crew leader for my home and he did a great job of keeping me up to date on everything, and letting me know every issue this old house had in store for them, and talked to me and showed me what was going on as it was happening. The decking wasn't what was expected and there was a lot of rotting wood from not having proper ventilation, tree overhang, etc. They took care of all the rotted wood and made my roof more secure. The air quality in my home started changing by the next day, and my home feels much cooler. The crew was super respectful of my home and kind. They busted their butts on two record heat temperature days to fix my house. Another note of importance is True Force does have different financing options inhouse and they were super patient with me while I was waiting for the insurance settlement and exploring other finance options. I ended up using one they offer and it took less than a minute to fill out the application and get approved for that particular one. It was a really easy experience and their interest rate and no penalty for early payoff was better than any deal I was being offered through popular lending sites. this was an absolute first time experience for us. Never ever have we had a contractor, of any type, come to our home to give us a quote on a repair, where they were honest enough, to tell us that the problem we thought we had did not exist? True Force did exactly that! We called them to inspect and quote us a price on what we were told was a roof leak. After inspection, Dave actually told us the metal roof showed no sign of a leak. This after another contractor told the sellers of home we just purchased needed over $4,000 in repairs. We did not see evidence of a leak and True Force confirmed it for us. It just blew us away!: The honesty and recommendations he gave us was so very much appreciated. I had been very excited to work with True Force Roofing regarding putting in skylights in my very dark house. Once the salesman told me it was doable, I decided to stay in the house, instead of sell it, and move forward with other renovations. It was not until I paid the deposit, for the skylights, did someone who does the work at True Force Roofing, finally look at the pictures of my attic and realize the work was not doable unless ducting was moved to make way for the skylight. that would cost me an additional $600 from a HVAC company to do that work. I had asked if we could come to a compromise and lower the cost of the bid as the miscommunication had caused me to move forward and pay for other projects which I would not have done. They told me they would talk to the owner and he would reach out to me. I had to follow up a few times to finally get a call. The owner was sarcastic, rude and unprofessional. Sadly, I think because I am a woman he talked to me like I was an idiot and could not understand that the ducting was in the way. Lots of mansplaining! It was kind of comical. The sad thing is I was going to ask them to do my son's roof if I had a good experience with them. So, lesson to other business owners, do not cut off your nose to spite your face. A compromise could have been made and there would have been more business due to that compromise. Now I am an unhappy customer who has asked for a refund. read more

Dave and Christy Goga spent a lot of time consulting with me about everything that needed to be done, estimate, materials, cost, time, etc. They arrived exactly when scheduled, and they made sure every detail was communicated to us throughout the entire process and made sure all our questions were answered.
