Went for a haircut it wasn't anything amazing. But because I didn't give the tip they wanted due to lack of cash on hand. They only accept cash. They straight up told me don't come back next time. If you want to be with rude people. Go here read more

I never went to this one but there is one about less than a mile away in TS emporium I went there to get my hair cut today. I told them where my hair needed to be cut but they cut is about 5in SHORTER. It also took about 30mins for them to cut it while the paper around my neck choked and strangled me. They used these clips in my hair and cut my hair about 10 strands at a time. I feel like this was all useless. When I tried to leave they held me back. the cost was 26 dollars even when I was not satisfied and they did not do their job. The condition was really bad too. There was hair on the floor, aprons, and brushes and scissors. They didn't bother to clean the little scraps at ALL. I do NOT recommend this place. I would give -99999999999999999 stars if I could. Not Good! I wanted it to look natural and she asked me so I said yes. She made it flat and straight. I will never even if I was gonna die, come to any of these horrible salons and the company again! read more

I thought I had posted a review already. Great service for $5. Where can you get a haircut for $5 anymore. I stumbled onto this place based on a recommendation but for another location but I didn't search by city on yelp. This popped up and I read the reviews. I decided one day I'd swing by and check it out. Three old ladies man the place but the drawback is they mainly speak Chinese which I have no clue but was able to get one of the ladies to understand. So if your lacking in the language seek the younger old lady as she kinda understands and she cut my hair perfectly and cleaned me up really well so when I left I didn't have all this excess hair falling all over me. The place gets packed so prepare to wait in upwards of 30 minutes and you may think your getting a new comb when they cut your hair. You don't so if you feel the coodies then rush home and do your own wash. read more

Kind of mixed opinions on my haircut; wasn't good and wasn't bad. I actually swung by three other salons prior to trying this place out. The other three salons were closed today which sucked! This salon was empty when I got there and I was a little worried because the two older ladies were telling the other to cut my hair. Kind of felt like once they saw my hairstyle, they were afraid to screw it up or maybe they just specialize in short hairstyles. Well for $7 + Tip, it wasn't too bad... read more

I have been taking my mom here for haircuts, they charge$10 for short hair and $12 for long hair. No wash or style. They usually mist your hair wet and process to a simple cut then blow dry at the end. To be honest, I wouldn't come back for my own hair because I have really thick Asian hair. But for my mom, she doesn't need anything fancy. Just some length taken off. So she's been pretty happy with Anita's cut. Today we came here for color and cut. Color is $35 plus $10 haircut, so total would be $45. It's not a bad deal. the whole process takes about two hours. read more

$5 haircut. Anita will take care of you. She is fast if you are just doing a clipper cut. She takes her time if you want some style. Same price. Be nice and tip well folks. Even with a $5 tip it is cheaper than most places before the tip. read more

I always come here for haircuts. I scheduled with Kelly and came at 3:40 Pm for my 4:00Pm appointment. I let her know that im here and she acknowledged by saying ok. I waited for her to to finish this man's haircut, even though I came on time. Around 4:20 she finished cutting his hair and she helped another lady with dying her hair. She told me to wait again. I was done with waiting for her at 4:30pm and decided to leave. She said she didn't see me come in for my 4:00pm appointment. I gently reminded her twice. I'm pretty sure she knows. I'm kind of disappointed with this treatment. I wasted my time by coming here. read more

One of the worst haircuts I've ever had. First off, incredibly rushed. Like previous comments have mentioned, the hairdressers have no regard for what the customer wants. I showed the person cutting my hair a picture of what I wanted and she gestured, asking if I wanted a combover (the haircut I already had). I said no and showed her the picture again and she proceeded to give me a combover anyway. Not a very good one at that. Very uneven and sloppy. I'd give 0 stars if I could. STAY AWAY!!! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. A lady with short hair and glasses named Aachen cut my daughters hair in literally two minutes and didn't listen to anything my daughter wanted. FOR $15!! Anyone could do what she did for free! She didn't even cut it straight and rushed her to get in the chair with no one in line behind us. She was VERY rude and it didn't even turn out good. I will NEVER be coming back. Very unprofessional. And talk about the false advertisement on the window, it's not $7, it's $15! read more

What can I say?! $5 for a male haircut! You can't beat that price at all! Even with a good $5 tip, it's still just $10 total! I went in on Monday afternoon around 3:00pm and I didn't have to wait all. I was immediately taken in by the older lady stationed at the last booth in the salon. However, after my haircut was done, all the seats inside were taken and there was a line outside the door with clients waiting for a haircut. When I went, they had 4 stylists cutting hair. My haircut came out pretty good and it was done in a reasonable amount of time. She even lined up my part to separate my hairline. Though I will admit, there was a language obstacle, but we managed to effectively communicate to get the haircut just right. They all speak mandarin if I'm not mistaken and the TV and newspapers available were all in mandarin. That didn't bother me at all. The next day on Tuesday at 9:00am, I recommended a relative go by to check it out, but unfortunately she couldn't get her hair dyed a dark brown color or cut since they asked her to bring her own hair dye. I found it odd they didn't carry hair dye in house for being a salon. It's a small, hole in the wall salon that's conveniently located off the 60 Freeway and Nogales and I'll definitely be returning soon. read more

First time here and I gotta say this place is clean and organize granted that it just opened but the staff is nice and it's only 5 dollars

$5 haircut place, 5 stars. I was in and out in ten minutes, surprisingly neat cut and good service for the price. This place is air conditioned on hot days, unlike some of the other barbers in Rowland Heights. I'll be back in a few months! read more

If your haircut is a simple cut, your $5 will be worth coming here. Two ladies (or three if its busy) will be there to help trim out what you need to shorten. Just ignore the amount of hair on the floor since numerous customers come in to get their haircut. They'll clean it but it will still start to pile up after awhile. They're very friendly and know what kind of haircut you may want once you tell them how short you would like the hair cut. read more

dirty as hell and the ppl there rude and screw up the hair style without appologizing worried to catch diseasea there

Cheap and used to be fast. As it gets more popular wait time gets longer too. The place is small so weekend u should spare at least half hour wait outside for your turn. read more

came here to get this place a try since I have not been able to find a decent barber in Rowland Heights area that really know how to do a flat top haircut. I used to go all the way to Monterey Park just for a haircut but ever since my Taiwanese barber quit because of some disagreement with the current owner, I have not been able to find a good barber to do my flat top. anyway, back to this AJ Salon. as soon as I walk in the door there is already 5 people sitting waiting and to my surprise, I saw this familiar face that work in this place. The Taiwanese old lady who is now working here used to work at this salon in Monterey Park that I been going to for nearly 25 years. have not seen this Taiwanese lady for over 10 since she quit. she cut my the flat top the Taiwanese style. not too short. just the way I like it. $8.00 for the flat top since I want it square instead of round. still a good price. it is $5.00 for regular man haircut. For the woman, it is $10.00 for basic haircut. read more
