Lifetime and Planet Fitness for example I just walked in and said "l would like to cancel my membership". The response? "Of course, Sir. We'll get that done for you and we're sorry to see you go." Onelife? Walk in and receive the answer - "No, you can't cancel through the app. No you can't cancel in person. No, I can't help you, you need to go to our website. " Get to the website and go through a maze of links to find an email that HOPEFULLY will work. Still waiting AND they still plan to charge for the following month after cancelation. Don't come here, go to a gym that isn't trying to trap you.

I've never gotten better or quicker results than with the help of the programs and coaches at North Point Fitness. The workouts are always interesting and challenging (I don't think I've done the same workout twice in the last 3 years). One of the reasons I workout is to maintain and improve a level of fitness that underpins the active life I want to lead (like occasional long distance runs with habitual runners, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, etc with friends... and helping people lift and move heavy things). Since joining North Point Fitness, I've never felt incapable of doing absolutely anything I wanted (or was asked) to do. The employees are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and they practice what they preach. They also bring their personalities to work with them - so during every visit I smile, laugh, and have fun while working really hard to achieve personal fitness goals. The members also routinely encourage one another and become like family after just a short time. I love this place!

I used to be a treadmill-elliptical-bike and/or yoga kinda lady. While I've completed a series of half-marathons in the past (the too-distant past!), cardio is something I feel I've had some level of comfort with, but strength training has always felt elusive and intimidating. To be clear, you're not going to find a room full of cardio machines or a schedule of yoga classes. Roswell Barbell is focused on building strength and has all the equipment you need to accomplish this goal. Despite its small size, there's plenty of equipment to use. I've been going for six months, starting as a white collar novice lifter who had never used a barbell in his life and didn't understand how chalk was used. The team here has supported my training, taught me the skills, and made it fun, healthy, and respectful. Now, I spend 3-4 days a week lifting heavy things, challenging my body to get stronger, and learning from some of the best athletes. I leave chalky and exhausted, and motivated to come back again. A fun conversation is always a great way to start your workout. Now a little about the workout. It will kick you butt. It's a combination of running, rowing and weights. It's designed to target endurance, strength, power. So some days the workouts focus on strength and other days on power or endurance. You get the idea. So if you are having issues getting motivated to workout like I was go ahead give them a try or at least try their one free class and see how you like it. It sure helped me get the gym bug. We discussed freezing the membership, and I later asked that it be canceled once the 6 months were complete. Despite this, I was billed beyond the 6-month term and told that my cancellation was not valid because it wasn't submitted in writing, even though they had notes from our conversation and I had not attended classes for months due to injury. I understand policies, but I wish this had been clearly communicated at the time and that the circumstances had been taken into account. It felt like payment mattered more than a member's injury or good-faith communication.

They are both so friendly and welcoming! After just one visit I was greeted by name every time after that! They have about 10 different teachers although I have not had a chance to take classes with all of them. But two of my favorites are Betsy and BeAnne. They have two completely different styles of teaching but both are fun and challenging! The studio is very clean and has natural light from the many windows. The best part is that they have mats, blankets, bolsters, blocks, everything you need for class all to use free of charge! My only complaint is that they don't have a place to refill water bottles. Yes, they have the bathroom sink and they sell dasani water but I would really like a water fountain or any filtered water area outside of the bathroom. In the large scheme of things this isn't a make it or break it thing buuuuut I figured I would mention it :) Overall this is a great studio and I've already bought a class package as I will be a frequent customer!

I've taken class with men & women in their 60's to high school boys who were taking Hatha as an addition to the training regimen. The first time I called Abby up, I was hesistant, and her first session is free, where she does a work out with you to see where you stand, she talks to you about your goals and what you are trying to achieve and once you sign up with her, she actually takes your measurements and body fat and then keeps a record to see how much progress you have made over a certain period of time... She even sat me down and spoke to me about my nutrition and my eating habits, shes not just a personal trainer, but shes is someone who really does care about her clients :) I know I am on the right part especially now that I work out every day on my own as well as work out with Abby once a week and it does not feel like a chore but just part of my daily routine :D
