--- "Airyoga's redemption" ---
This time I paid a visit to the Fabrikstrasse location. I reserved a Yin yoga class with one of the most popular instructors, Frank. Actually, I had to book online with a week advance... yes, this guy seems to be THAT popular. And for a reason! But let's not get ahead of myself.
The tiny reception area is nice. It has a special, personal, cozy feeling to it. Man, it got packed in no time! The studio is also beautiful, larger than the one on Oberdorfstrasse, with big windows. All props are neatly arranged and complimentary (including mats). With maybe twenty four yogis and yoginis taking the class, the room was full but not to the point of being uncomfortable.
Now, I'm thorn for what I have to say now because it is already so difficult to book a class with Frank, but he is a truly gifted instructor. His class was divine! He showed a level of professionalism and care it's difficult to come across this days. He kept going around the room gently correcting or perfecting everyone's asanas and making sure everyone stayed safe. He even volunteered a couple of tips for me at the end of the practice! I can wholeheartedly recommend his class to anyone, I became his instant fan :)
At the end of the class there is a small table in the reception area with complimentary refreshments: still water, water with natural mint leaves, tea, dried fruits, nuts and whole wheat cookies.
It was a very different experience compared to the one I had at the other studio and I'm looking forward to my next class. read more
