Mark at AirTec has done it again! He saved me at a different property than my previous 2018 review. I walked into a wall of 86° heat in my house after work one evening and Mark was my 1st call. I left a voicemail after hours not expecting to hear back until the next day, but received a call back 2 hours later at nearly 9pm. Mark was booked for 1 - 3 days due to the crazy heat wave, depending on whether he had any other jobs previously scheduled in my area. Well, God knew I had enough on my plate and Mark was driving by my neighborhood at the exact moment I was giving him my address. After a very long work day, he swung around without hesitation to come take a look. He diagnosed my problem by merely walking into my backyard and hearing the unit! My ac unit stopped working so I called AirTec and spoke to Mark (owner). He could stop by tomorrow and at the very latest the day after tomorrow. To my surprise Mark called back within 3 hrs and can be here in a few minutes! He diagnosed, removed and replaced the broken part, topped off the freon and was done within 20 mins! I live in Los Angeles but own a home in Grants Pass, and as luck would have it, the central air conditioning in my Oregon home stopped working shortly before I arrived. I use Yelp for just about everything, and a quick look at the reviews on Yelp for Grants Pass pointed me toward AirTec Heating & Air. I made a phone call and AirTec showed up at my home the very next day. Within minutes of inspecting my AC system, AirTec diagnosed the problem and said it would take one to two days to obtain the needed part depending on if it was in stock or not. Two days later, AirTec returned with the necessary part and installed it. During the installation, they discovered the central air conditioning system in my house was not wired correctly, and they fixed that too. I don't write very many reviews on Yelp, but the reviews I read about AirTec were spot on, and I was very happy I chose them. I was happily going to have them install a ductless system in my rental property considering all the great Yelp reviews. Mark was very prompt, fitting me in for a quote on short notice. I got a verbal quote which sounded great so I had him put me on the schedule. In the meantime, I wanted to get something on paper (email) so I'd know what size units they were installing and what all was included, permits, etc. I did not get anything in writing despite asking a couple of times. I also wanted to know if energy credits were available. Then when I finally called to ask about it, I mentioned the possibility of having the outside units put in the back of the house rather than the front (two other companies told me it could be done). It's like he turned into Mr. Hyde and said he refused to do it that way, I should take my business elsewhere and he cut me off the schedule and said he refused to do the job. I have never been treated so rudely by a business owner. It felt like he was mad that I had the nerve to get other bids. All he would have had to do was explain his reasoning (I am not an HVAC expert) and I would have been fine with that and would have appreciated his opinion (but I still wanted a written estimate!!). Mark and AirTec are my "go to HVAC" installation and service folks. Very responsive AND friendly. My Dad is 82 and has breathing problems. Last summer their AC died in the middle of the Milepost 97 fire. "The other guys" Mom had called "someone else" and got the "your system is too old and needs to be replaced ... here is a (high pressure) $7K quote ... we can get to it in a month - maybe earlier if there's a cancellation." Then I got Mark and AirTec involved late Friday afternoon and the new compressor had the system running 100% by late Saturday (had to get parts in Medford). AirTec showed concern for the urgent air quality issues. My folks REALLY appreciated the responsiveness and the very reasonable bill! Kudos once again Mark! read more

Had three different companies give me bids since I thought I had to replace my heat pump. Not one checked it to see if it could be fixed. Paid a company to come and fix it and nothing. Waste of money. AirTec came today to give me a bid but he started to look around and noticed a leak. My unit was leaking free on. He fixed the leak filled it up because it was completely empty and all is good. So happy this man came and helped me. Everybody else just wanted to sell me a new unit. Wish I could give 0 stars! Had all set up to install mini split in our new construction. At the last minute (after we asked about pulling permits), the owner (Mark) informed us that he thought we were in Josephine County (as we have a Grants Pass address, but are actually in Jackson county). He told us he can't work in Jackson county. TOTAL LIE!!! How do I know? He installed a mini split at my best friend's house in Medford 3 weeks later. We heard,"Yeah, no problem. It'll be this much. Yep, that will work", and once we mention a permit...nope can't do it since you're in Jackson county. Yet we physically watched them install one in Medford. Dishonest owner! Oh, and he deleted our one star review and his response about not working in Jackson county on his FB page. Honesty goes a big way with us. From the very beginning of our install the owner (Mark} was very rude and condescending during the whole process. He was complaining the whole time. Although it was difficult to put in due to the location. But please be professional. He had a definett male chauvinist attitude towards me. Talked to me like I was an idiot. Then the system shut down twice because of some kind of instalment error. He did come back quickly to fix it. Then later when we called to get a copy of the receipt. he didn't send it. I called two weeks later and had to call every day for a week to finally get him to email me a copy. Again was rude and condescending on the phone. Whenever my husband talked to him he was kind and polite. I would never hire him do to his horrible attitude towards me what I feel being a women. I was nothing but nice to him. read more

I moved to GP and had no air in my home, I had an older heating system. I called AirTec and they came and gave me a quote on a ductless system. I called other companies and they recommended other more expensive systems so I called a friend in Sac area who owned a heating and air company and he said go for the Daikin, he used it in his office.
