He then said, "What if I go around the Tesla and find other scratches?" basically trying to justify the damage he caused. He even said he would scratch his own car if that would make me feel better. After he worked on it, that crack was much larger than when I arrived. When I asked why, I was told it was "physics and pressure" and that there are no guarantees. I understand there is always some risk with glass repairs, but I left confused about why a previously repaired chip that wasn't spreading needed to be reworked in the first place. After the appointment, I called the dealership where I purchased the vehicle and where the chips had originally been repaired before I bought it. They told me there is one standard process for filling a chip, which left me even more confused about why I was told the previous repair had been done "incorrectly." I asked Safelite what specifically was wrong with the previous repair and what made it incorrect, but I never received a clear answer. Instead, I felt like my concerns were dismissed.
