In 2016 I posted a review that noted they had called it a day early, before completing a number of units in our building, including ours. Now I'm back to tell you our brand new dryer suddenly stopped working, so an electrician tested our booster fan and new dryer unit, only to find no issues. When we went outside to check the vent, it was clogged almost 100%! It appears National Air simply hasn't performed any cleaning on that vent for years, despite them being contracted to do so annually. So again, I've blown another day, and this time more money as well (unless I'm fully compensated by our strata) dealing with an issue that's not supposed to arise. Even more exasperating is it's nine years after the first incident, and although all are aware of the issues, they persist, and our strata keeps employing this outfit. Makes me wonder why.

Yes, they will say all the right things when you want something installed, and they might even install it as per their quote. But this company has been purchased by larger conglomerate several times and it is pretty clear that they are about making money and putting the customer second. The latest and final straw was when I had a technician come to assess a condenser pump on a daikon ductless system... Without doing any proper assessment or checking any typical aspects of the system he deemed that the pump had to be replaced... Apparently the condenser pump is not part of the "all parts warranty" either, yah! I decided to get a second opinion. So I called Pioneer plumbing and services who came immediately the next day, actually took the time to assess and deemed that all they needed to do was clean out some algae from the pump area. So in the end the pump was NOT broken After going back and forth with Thompson they did refund me, but please be warned!

In April the crew showed up to install everything, when finished they set up the thermostat and left, it was cool enough to require heating which was good as I could check how well it worked. After a few days of running the furnace I went around to check that everything was working OK, I found that there was water leaking from the furnace drain pipes onto the crawl space floor, the joints were not glued properly, I also had to pick up lots of sheet metal screws all over the crawlspace floor from them doing the duct work so I had to call them back twice to fix the leaks, at this point I gave up on them and fixed it myself, this time it was job done. I was also having a problem with the thermostat, it was set for 20 degrees, the furnace would not stop running until it reached 21-22 degrees, so I called them, they came and checked it and told me it was now fixed, the next day the heater did the same thing, I called them, they came and replaced the thermostat, said it was now fixed, the next day the heater did the same thing, like before I looked into it myself and found that there was a big hole in the drywall behind the thermostat which was located above a cold air return, when the furnace was running the cold air return would pull air from the hole in the wall and cause the thermostat to read a lower temp, I sealed the hole, and again job done. On October 30 2024 we were having issues with the furnace using 50% more gas than other homes in our area (according to Fortisbc.com), we were told by Thomson that it needed a new valve and we could not run the furnace as it was not safe and the gas to it was shut off on November 26 , we made many phone calls to them to have this fixed under the 12 year Daikin warranty but were ghosted, after 7 weeks with no heat in Nov. Dec. and part of Jan, I gave up on them and looked for another company. We found Bakerview, who came and checked the furnace and found that the heat exchanger was plugged caused by the furnace drain not being installed correctly and the heat exchanger and inducer motor needed to be replaced, They replaced the whole furnace under the Daikin warranty, we now have heat. Using Thomson heating and cooling was a very bad decision on my part. My advice to anyone thinking of having work done to their furnace, "stay away from THOMSON" if I could give - stars I would.

We have had several techs come to try repair our heat pump that was not defrosting properly. I…read morefinally discovered that Heritage Mountain specializes in York products and gave them a call. Jessie arrived on time, masked up and ready to go. He first listened to what I had to tell him about the problem and read the reports from the other techs that I provided. He then looked at all components of the system and zeroed in on a couple of obvious (to him) problems. Jessie worked diligently and was not afraid to share information with me as he was performing his job. After a short time he was able to get the heat pump running as it should. He then checked to make sure ALL components of the heating system were functioning together as they should. We were facing the very real prospect of replacing this heat pump, as we had dealt with a problem that no one else could repair, at a cost of thousands of dollars. Thanks to Heritage Mountain and Jessie for rectifying the problem, saving us the cost of replacing the heat pump and saving us from further frustration. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND Heritage Mountain Heating!!

We chose Brad because he was very honest, approachable, and well informed. We felt he gave us good advice, and worked to save us money and get us the best equipment for our needs. We also found his quote was very competitive, which was fantastic because of the four companies I had quote, I like interacting with Brad the best. The installation went smoothly. Brad and the guys he brought in to help with the install were all reasonable to have working in our home. Brad seemed to do everything by the book and to the best possible quality. For example, an electrical box was installed where the electrician had popped out one extra access port than he needed. Brad commented that this would meet code and most people would accept it; however, he did not like it and so he came back the next day to replace the box. All the work seemed top quality. The only challenge with working with Brad was that he was somewhat hard to nail down on an installation time. He was always easy to get a-hold of via his cell phone, but once or twice failed to send me information via email that he said he would. The system has now been running for year and we are very happy with it and would choose to work with Brad again and would recommend him to our friends.
