I saw a targeted advertisement on my words with friends game this morning, and normally, I wouldn't even contact anything that is directly advertised to me. But, as I told Jenni, I felt like it was meant to be, for me to call them. I had a very good experience with her and felt that she was knowledgeable and caring. They are coming out tomorrow for inspection and air sampling, and Tuesday and I will update my review at that time. ******** Update: the specialist, John, came in and made us feel very comfortable about the process. All my interactions with this business, from the time I called Jenni, to my interactions today, were so positive, which is not something I get from all companies I deal with on a regular basis. I felt empowered to make good decisions about what needs to happen next with our home. Samples were sent to the lab. The good news is, he didn't see or smell any mold. It was $295 for the hygrometer and lab testing visit. They also offer free demos but we decided to go directly to the appointment. I was able to choose from a variety of immediate appointments, and he arrived, on time, the very next day after I spoke to the owners. I was very impressed with that. I would highly recommend this company. I can tell they have integrity and I felt confident to hire a reputable local (Tampa Bay) business. There was no upswell, no sale tactics. Anyone that knows me, knows that I write simple, honest reviews and am not swayed by people, big or small companies and I'm just a regular retired housewife who doesn't have a business to represent or a horse in the race, as the saying goes. Each of them brings their own knowledge, skillset, and expertise that is one of a kind. I have had CMA do several inspections of both workplaces and home environments and have been so pleased each and every time. I am very sensitive to mold and I feel so confident that their attention to detail is able to record anything that may trigger my sensitivity. They are fairly priced, reasonable in their recommendations and standards for mold (there is no such thing as "mold free"!, but we can strive for an environment without active mold or water damage). Our latest inspection was done by Brad. He took several hours (about 5) and was thoroughly documenting and inspecting every square inch of our apartment. He was able to find the hidden sources of mold that were making my husband and I feel sick in several unexpected areas (including behind walls) without creating damage to the surfaces in our rental. He was highly personable and professional and called us himself to discuss the results. I highly recommend CMA, and have also recommended them to many of my patients (I am a nurse practitioner). SO beyond grateful to them for all their role in my healing journey. I am a completely different person today than I ever was before, and I attribute that, in part, to CMA's swift and thorough work in examining suspect environments. I had both a water softener and reverse osmosis system installed, and the difference in the water quality is night and day. Everything went smoothly the machine worked great, and now it's beeping saying we need tech support. We called and were told it was a filter and would cost $650 to replace. I have never heard of anyone having to get the filter replaced within 2 years. When looking online most filters cost between $30-$50 and most service calls are only $150. The problem is, this company sells you a system that only they can service. There are no manuals online on how to fix anything yourself and other plumbers or repair men have never seen this system before. To top it off there is no serial number or anything to help identify the system. So the company has made it so they can only fix it and charge you whatever they want too. This is extortion! I do NOT recommend this company under any circumstances unless you like to over pay. And when you do agree to be a sucker and for them to fix it they tell you when they will be there and then never show. It's been 2 months and I still haven't had anyone show up yet. DO NOT USE!!!!
