The siding is coming loose around the outside, the layout is such that the kitchen is tiny and completely isolated, so not good for people that like to cook and entertain. The laundry machines (not inc in the unit; there's a laundry mat on premises) leave clothes smelly musty even when using hot water and scent booster beads. Likewise, the dishwasher basically just rinses the dishes and doesn't clean well either.I have never experienced machines less suited to their purpose before. The pros are that there is a pavilion and the grill areas are scattered so as to be proximate to any unit. There are (tiny!) community gardens as well, but they don't explain that they're first-come-first-serve in any of the passive-aggressive notes they constantly leave on the door. Some jerk took an entire plot to grow herbs that they're not even using and could easily fit in a pot.

Current manager is present one day a week in each building. Mantaince consist of one individual who is expected to upkeep both apartment buildings. There's also a part time employee who takes out the trash and periodically vacuums. The building is not up to codes, the security system is basic and doesn't provide adequate security for the tenants. The tenants are cleaning community areas, including the laundry rooms. No reason to complain, nobody is listening, nobody is showing up and it would result in a violation. The tenants needs are of no concern to CRM.

It's off my list of things I have to fix , I looked at him like what? You are the last person to have looked at it.. so let's say that was the straw that broke it for me I ended up moving out the next month and when I moved out they still hadn't fixed the garage disposal and their was still cockroaches in the building and not just my apartment but at least half of them in building that I knew about. It's been two months since I've moved out now and have not heard a word about my security deposit and I'm at the point I don't want to deal with Lori so I'm not going to even bother reaching out to her to find out about it also from what I've been told from someone who had a family member that use to work for them that I shouldn't expect my security deposit back since I had a cat they had an unofficial unwritten role if a tent had a pet they would find some reason why they wouldn't give the deposit back. Not sure if it's true but the way how Lori is so rude it's believable I don't recommend this place to anyone unless you are extremely desperate and can't afford any where else to live and preside with caution and would highly recommend buying roach bug and flee foggers before moving in

I have previously been approached very aggressively by the landlord and she even put her fingers in my face and all. When moving out the landlord tried charging me $2,000.00 for damages and yes, we left a few minor damages but not $2,000.00 worth and she included damages that weren't even done.

There are not many residential spaces that allow dog friendly accommodation and we were happy that the building allows dogs but is also located next to a park where we can enjoy our evenings with the puppy. Repairs/requests have ALWAYS been addressed promptly - most within 24 hours of my e-mail. I've never experienced that level of quality service, anywhere. We love the size of our apartment especially the kitchen. The gym is well equipped and the residents can enjoy the common room on the fourth floor. We are happy that we get to entertain our guests on the 4th floor lounge / game room , and my favorite the rooftop terrace that includes two barbecue grills. The management is always organizing social events so we get to meet our neighbors and enjoy the surroundings. I highly recommend IRON PIER Apartments if anyone is looking to have a downtown experience in Syracuse.

All the comfy apartments that had carpeting.Now it's all flooring in there.It's hard and cold.I don't made it look worse.They redid the bathroom.The sink is smaller they don't have the handrails properly on the top.There's only one there should be two. And they have this weird rule about the garbage.You can't go out and put garbage inside the garbage dumpsters that are meant for our building.What is up with that. Big and easy to spread out, yet there are benches that make it easy to sit and mingle. There's a grill so tenants can enjoy cooking and gathering there too. Security seems pretty tight and the tenants always seem pretty pleasant in passing so from the outside it seems like it might be a nice place to live. Definitely not a bad place to visit, especially since there are so few rooftop spaces in Syracuse. If you ever get the opportunity to catch a rooftop yoga class here, DO IT.
