Of course my A/C decides not to work last Thursday at the beginning of a 5 day HEAT ADVISORY!! I am fortunate that I bought a home warranty for issues just like this...and there's more! The warranty company assigned the repair to: Air - Approved (Heating & Air Conditioning) As you could imagine, this time of the year and during a heat advisory, all HVAC companies are up to their collective eyeballs in folks needing A/C units fixed. The folks at Air - Approved were on it from start to finish. They provided me a heads up, via email and text, that they had been assigned the job. After our phone conversation I also received an email and text confirming the appointment date and timeframe for when the technicians would arrive. I even got a reminder the day before service they'd becoming and a message informing me they were en route day of service. (Also, the message instructs you to ensure the system is turned off at least 4 hours before they show up which is important. They can't work on an "iced up" system and would have to reschedule. Yes, the system can literally freeze up.) I love this - communication and being kept informed is so import - Well done! The technicians showed up well within the designated appointment time window. I briefly explained what I had observed the A/C system doing and the technician knew exactly what the problem was. He isolated a capacitor that had gone bad and it was the culprit. They performed the repair quickly and were on to their next customer. I couldn't be happier as a customer. I love supporting small and local businesses. Air- Approved has proven themselves through performance and they are now on my "Approved" list of preferred companies to continue doing business with in the future. Old republic home warranty dispatched this company and it was the worst experience of my life. My ac stop working and A tech who works for Adam the owner comes to the house looking super sketchy. He was super un prepared, I think he forgot that we were still in a pandemic. He came in with no mask, he didnt have booties for his shoes and when we asked for him to take off his shoes he just stood there. So my wife got two shower caps for his boots. He was trying to diagnose the issue and tells us that there is a hole in the pipe and that the system was flat. I looked at the hole and pictures and it was for sure drilled not sure if they were trying to get me to spend more money but my problem went from bad to worst. I told the owner that someone is always home and that no one goes into the backyard and I had a feeling that something was not right. We went back and forth and now he is ghosting me and the warranty denied my claim. The report states that there was gas oil's every where all over the floor and pipes before they got ther which is bs. So I spoke to the home warranty that I wanted a second opinion. When the second company came he said that the capacitor had blown and that someone drilled a hole and no gas oils on the floor or pipes just that the capacitor had blown...and that he could not further diagnose the issue due to the hole. All I have to say is I will never have them service my Ac... and I left multiple messages with no return calls. They dont care and do not want to take responsibility of their tech. my next step is to file a claim with their insurance and bbb. Just crazy read more

Though I was satisfied with their prompt service for my rental in the IE, I was very disappointed when the invoice came and it included a 2.7% fee for using a credit card for payment. NOT COOL! We were not informed of that charge or we would've paid with Zelle or Venmo. That being said, air-conditioning repair work is generally going to be a significant cost to homeowners so Air-Approved should expect that people would pay with a credit card. This is a cost of doing business and they need to absorb that. Business Economics 101. It's not like a little mom-and-pop store requiring at least $10 in purchases to use your CC. read more

During this most recent heatwave my ac goes down. I called 6 different companies that treated me like a number at the DMV. No one cared about it at all. Until I called Kianna at Air-Approved! He was able to explain and demonstrate for me exactly where the problem was. WOW!!!! This company is OUTSTANDING!!! Adam is more than awesome and his customer service should be commended. Had an issue with the A/C fan running and the A/C not kicking on. He was kind enough to squeeze me in, and then even earlier when a customer cancelled. Came out, thought the issue was fixed, but had to call as the problem started again. He made a second trip back out, spent an enormous amount of time trying to troubleshoot, and likely was a plug not making full contact. He was able to sand down the area where the build up was, and so far--it's working great. They have gained a new customer in me--he's honest, trustworthy, and take pride in his work.
