I recently bought a Mercedes which developed a drivetrain noise. Had it checked out while in for service at the Benz dealer. Much to my dismay the service manager told me the car needed a transmission. And I was nearing the end of my warranty! The warranty company referred me to Aimes for a second opinion. The shop owner took the car for a ride around the block, said he hears nothing and the car needs tires. I wanted to take him for a ride to show him the noises at specific speeds as it is CRITICAL i have this resolved in warranty. He says "I don't have time for this, I don't have time for new customers, nothing wrong with your car"... Rude, dismissive behavior. I had to pay him $100 diagnosis fee, Viti Mercedes a diagnosis fee, and cost of new tires. So fast forward a month... My transmission is toast. And my warranty has since passed...
Don't worry, I changed the trans myself. Despite having a full time job and a second car that's not so street legal to get to work. ;)
So to sum it up in a nutshell.
(1) If you want your car parked outside on a crappy Fall River side street
(2) Want unneeded parts thrown into your car til the problem is found
(3) Want to be treated like YOU work for THEM.
