The consultation went for almost one hour And in the end they said things like He probably has .... and they think it is..... as they couldn't even look inside his mouth Its funny as they charge 500$ for consultation. You don't want to hear probable diagnosis after spending 500$, that I could google at home as well. And ofcourse when asked for treatment they suggested therapies ( charges 130$ each). When asked if anything could be done at home, answer as expected is not much Not promising at all. Lacks confidence in diagnosis and treatment. Waste of money and time What a Fiasco and time waste.

Over the course of the next three and a half weeks they ran every test on my son and put us through agony worrying what was wrong with him. The feeding therapist on staff would come to our room for five minutes a day, deem he was not ready to eat, not even attempt to give him a bottle, and would leave. It was frustrating and heart breaking to see my perfectly healthy boy stuck in the hospital with no real help or therapy to address his issue. When the doctors felt they couldn't do anymore testing on him they decided he would never eat and that we needed to leave with a gtube. The gastroenterologist laughed when I suggested we leave with the NG because I felt this issue may be temporary. When I explained that I was going to see Nancy the day after we left the hospital and I had high hopes I was told that I should just go home and love my son since Nancy didn't have a magic wand. Well let me tell you how wrong they were. That first day we saw Nancy she immediately identified a posterior tongue tie and left side torticollis. She pulled out her bag of goodies and found a nipple he immediately took from. She also personally texted her inner circle and got us appointments for craniosacrial therapy for his neck and for a tongue tie revision the very next day. Over the course of the next month we worked diligently with Nancy using her tools and the nipple she had suggested. Exactly one month to the day we were released from the NICU we removed my sons tube. Had we just went home with the gtube and "loved our son" without seeing Nancy I don't even know what would have happened to him. Instead I have a happy sweet boy who is well fed and back on track. Nancy did have a magic wand and she works wonders. I am forever grateful for her.

As first-time parents -- it's so comforting to have expertise and support at every moment as you're navigating life as a parent for the first time. When you have no idea what's going on, you're healing and tired and hormonal, your doula is a rock. As second-time parents -- LIFE-SAVING to have someone there to let me sleep as much as possible so that I could be semi-human for my toddler in the morning, and gave my husband and I some much-needed normalcy in the evenings. Everyone I've ever interacted with at HFA (Devon, Sara, Kate, Tiffany, Latoya, Norah, Erika ... the list goes on) was courteous, professional, kind, hyper-responsive and I never had any doubts that we all were in great hands. Give yourself the gift of sleep and peace of mind. I did and would do it again in a heartbeat.

I was trying to get an aide for my mother for years. Finally she agreed on 8/4/2017. I called Zena…read moreand the next day an aide came for an interview. The aide began that Monday. Zena worked with me with the Long Term Care Insurance company so that billing was direct to them. My mother was a very difficult, demanding, stubborn person who could be very nasty on any given day. She smoked two packs of cigarettes daily. The aides Zena provided were compassionate and as helpful as could be. I live 1200 miles away, but trusted the care that was provided. Zena was immediately responsive to any issues, or concerns that arose. Mom began with a 3 half day a week aide. It increased to 4 half days, then finally 7 days a week before she passed in December 2018. She made things difficult for everyone, often cursing at the aides, or sending them to the store so she could be alone. Zena provided daily flexibility when Dr. appointments required an aide on a non scheduled day, or required more hours. Zena provided invaluable advice and was a good listener because I had never encountered this situation before. I highly recommend Zena and her agency. The gift of long life is often accompanied by failure of many parts of the body, most notably, the brain. At times a son can feel extremely lonely in an effort to provide his mother with quality care toward the end of her life. Saying "she don't like this". "She don't do that". Last time I checked. I had hired her. I came back to 2 big bags of laundry. When I washed everything. I saw on everything. I guess that she didn't like to change diapers either. Because she didn't know how to change one correctly. I do not recommend her. Get a camera if she is used to take care of someone with dementia. Thats a good thing, it feels good to be in clean spaces not only for hygiene but for my mind. My massage therapist ( Michelle ) honestly had me second thinking her when we first sat down. But i just surrendered and tried everything and found myself experiencing one of the top 5 massages in my life. I am a yoga teacher so I do lean toward someone who actual knows body mechanics and spiritual energy. Michelle's knowledge is profound and altering.
