I try to post something outside United state and I went to this store . They charge me $35.58 and also packing supplies$2.95 , and the guy he told me 7-10 days it's going to take . After 14 days called usps and they told me there is no tracking and also I paid $22 postage and also they guy charge me $3 for one plastic bag , they give it to you in post office for free . I called the guy and he told me yes some countries there is no tracking of package . Are you serious!!! Now you telling me ? China it's not a country we can track are package?? think smart ! Not like me . Please save your money and your time and your packages and go to post office and don't give your business to those people ! I work less than one block away and "Yelp" to see who could assist me with my UPS box without going to a UPS center. I was happy to find a business just walking distance from me. After looking them up on Yelp, I was hesitant to take it at first as he had few reviews and only 3 Stars. I had no wait time and excellent service both visits. He may not be outgoing as some of the reviews stated, but I could care less, I went for convenience and for time savings. He delivered prompt, professional service, (he has a better persona than most persons at the counter at the US Post office) I will use him for all future mail, packages and express service. I have had a mail box here for 8+ years. We get a lot of mail. Never a problem. I do not ship items so I can not comment on that. I get 3-4 packages a week and he always emails me they have arrived prior to the shipping service doing so. Pick up is always during his open hours. I have had to not pick up for several days and he has always held the packages for me. 24 hour access to the Mail Box is great. He is always pleasant to me and my wife. When I was injured he offered to take the packages out to my car. What a nice thing to do. read more

Went here for the first time today and will never go back. Since when is lying to your customers OK?! Overpriced and terrible customer service. I needed to get a box and mail a package. The bored-looking man behind the counter (apparently only one employee today... good thing I was the only customer because I still had to wait for him to finish a phone call) quoted a huge price (over $20 to send a medium 1.5lbs box through USPS??) to mail it and when I questioned it, he said there was a "tiny" markup but that the post office would not be much different. I was worried the post office would be out of boxes that size so just bought the box ($6 to watch him slap two pieces of tape on a standard cardboard box... great) and headed to the post office... where it only cost about $9 to send it and turns out they definitely had that size box for about $3!! That "tiny" markup was really big, even with the "packing price" included. He basically flat out lied to me - the prices aren't similar at all! Next time, I am heading straight to the post office or one of the many better competitors (I highly recommend the post office in the Brentwood Country Mart, Box Brothers or Mail Boxes Etc. that are just up the street). It'll be cheaper, more efficient, and I know I'll get better service. read more

I use this place as an alternative to the nonsense that has become the USPS and as a cheaper alternative to UPS/FedEx. It's conveniently located in a shopping center with a CVS and Starbucks. The owner is always very great in helping me find the best packaging and getting my things where they need to. I've never had a package, lost, damage, stolen or late - the best part is there is never a line. If you've already pre-packaged, it is really to send out but I prefer to go in and have them do everything. They do a much better job than I do! Per the other review, yes the owner is very stern and quiet. However, he is not mean or unpleasant and is just concerned about doing his job and he does it well. This is a great little secret if you need to send packages out and don't want to deal with long lines and long wait times. The prices are similar to USPS, and so can be a little expensive especially when you have them pack things for you. read more

I am candidly a bit shocked that the reviews aren't higher. I come here quite frequently around the lunch hour to ship packages and I have never witnessed a line and the manager is always very quick to help. Even if I have a prepaid label, he is more than willing to tape my packages and attach the label. The guy there is super cool and accommodating! I went in to print out a document and he made the process so easy. I asked him how much it cost and he said one dollar. I asked if I could pay with a car because I didn't have cash, and he said don't worry it's free! He was super nice and I will be coming back. I have been doing business here for way too long. The owner is rude and the service is so over the top...extremely expensive. It is very close to where I live so I have used the service as a convenience. I'd rather go a few miles more and get treated as a person. He never fails. I know I should know is name but I don't. I would say he's the owner. He's awesome! Whenever I need to ship a package, he knows exactly what box and what is needed. Customer service is no BS and to-the-point, but it is definitely over-priced. Something is going on with the way he charges because it's always significantly more expensive than any other shipping store I go to. When I tell him "cheapest option" he always provides me with an option that's $20+. I feel like he is somehow changing the weight or adding extra fees, because I ship similar things all the time at other shops and usually pay $10 dollars or less. Went here to have a loan form notarized on 12/3/18. He charges $15 per signature- so we paid $30. I specifically asked him about the witness signatures and he said not to worry about that and said the form we had was incorrect and attached his own form. Then he proceeded to tell us that it was $40 to ship it 2 day via fed-ex and said that was cheaper than UPS. Since we were on a time crunch, we just sent it and I now realize he overcharges for his shipping fees. Now I got a letter from the loan company that we did the form incorrectly and needed those witness signatures... so we basically just threw away $70 to sign and ship that loan letter and now need to pay to do the whole thing correctly. read more

The gentleman who works there (same guy for the past several years) is always efficient, helpful, and quick to help me assess the fastest and/or cheapest method of delivery. I have been a customer of this place for more than 10 years. When I first started going there it was owned by a lovely husband and wife team who never failed to greet with a smile and even if I only bought a single stamp, thanked me for my business. Then it was sold, perhaps sold again - who knows. Employees were upbeat so I still would drive 15 - 20 minutes each way out of my way because I was comfortable with the center and happy with the service. The current owner or manager is an Asian man with the personality of a rock. No - the rocks are more personable. He does not smile, does nothing to help you brainstorm a way to keep costs down and although efficient, does not in the least make you feel valued. So after my 4th or 5th experience like this it's time to say "adieu" If I want to be gouged with inflated prices for materials and treated like a number by a disinterested employee who couldn't care less if they ever see me again I will save the gas money and go to the post office around the corner. First the location is nearly impossible to access. The strip center is only legally accessible thru 1 entrance. It took me 20 mins to get into the parking lot. Santa Monica traffic is very heavy. This was my third time being overcharged by a huge amount. The return I brought cost 8 dollars to be shipped to me from Virginia in 2 days Fed Ex. The return at AIM cost me $42.96 for 1 week Fed Ex ground delivery. The man who I dealt with told me to go to the post office if I didn't like the prices. Well if I had not spent half my lunch break trying to access your terrible location maybe I could have done that. I will never step foot into another AIM center, they are ripping people off and being jerks about it. I am so angry that the return cost more than the product itself and the shipping. In hind sight I should have just thrown away the return. I hate to waste anything, so I didn't. But now I realize I wasted money, and that is just insane. Bottom line the owner is an overcharging crook. He is lucky I didn't punch him in his smug thieving face. If it were possible to give negative stars I would! Last thing, I just entered the weight and size to fed ex and the price should have been $10.68 and arrive in 4 day via fed ex ground. So the rude thief stole $32.28 from me today. If you want to be treated like your are a bother and annoyance as well as wanting to be stolen from by roughly 300% by all means head over to AIM Mail Thieves in Santa Monica.
