A very good organization that services Aiken and the entire Central Savannah River Area (CSRA)…read more They operate completely off of donations from area businesses and citizens and supply many of our local food banks and other charities, such as ACTS and the St Vincent Du Paul Society - all to help get food to people who might otherwise go without. They receive food donations from local and regional manufacturers and purchase food and other items directly from area distributors, then make sure that our local charities all get a share of what they can give out. At ACTS, where I volunteer quite a bit, much of the food they get from Golden Harvest goes out to hundreds of families in desperate need of it. And Golden Harvest supplies a lot of the donations that are handed out on the 3rd Saturday of each month at ACTS for what they call 'Senior Saturday', which delivers much needed food to our local senior citizens each month. Last week alone, they provided supplies for over 360 senior citizens in need! Please consider donating to this very worthy charity, as it is the source of food supplies for many of our other local charities who all work together to try to feed the hungry here in Aiken and the greater CSRA. The trails are extensive and on foot it would take a full day to cover them all, particularly given the fact that they are quite sandy. What were marked as streams on the map seemed just to be sand as well with no water; these must be transient streams. The main paths were quite large, while some of the more peripheral trails meant for humans only were more solid ground and less sand, but were a bit overgrown. No facilities were available, but the place was free and was no trouble to get to.

( I have a heart/lung condition) . I have never in my life been treated so disrespectful. I left in tears and I am not someone who cries easily. There is nothing about this place that is Christian.

This place is right in downtown Aiken and doesn't look like much from the outside but they have a good selection for the most part. There are lots of clothes and many decent brands, linens and holiday stuff, books, accessories, and some furniture out from. All were fairly priced and they have rotating daily sales. Today (Monday), for example, they had 50% off red tag items and 50% off books. I found a handful of items and enjoyed browsing around then being able to walk to lunch nearby. The employees seemed nice but weren't out of this world friendly, but as long as they aren't rude it doesn't really affect my shopping experience. I'm sure I'll be back!
