I want to give zero stars! They have no professionalism! Was rude during transfer over. As well as every week I have to move the can from the middle of my driveway ( WHICH IS NOT! WHERE IT IS OLCWD FOR PICKUP) before I can even pull in my driveway. This still happens even after complaints. Is there a corporate level we can reach out to? read more

If I could give them a minus, I would. As you can tell, this company has no consideration for anyone; all they care about is lining their pockets with money. I had a trash can that had a box on top of a bag and they took the bag out and placed it on the ground and left it there. I called them, and they said it was overloaded. Even spoke to them about how it was more work to remove the bag than it was to take it with them. I was told I pay for a certain amount, and their guys are trained to calculate that. Not sure how that happens, but I'm sure they are the greatest. read more

After 1000 one star reviews over 5 review boards it's safe to say that this is a spectacular display of greed and corruption. When will Pennsylvania Reps step up and jail these organized gangsters? I fell victim to this scam...billing me continuously all year..didnt even live there....People wanted to move in. They were told it's illegal not to have trash service and had to pay a bill....charged for 3 trash cans at 180 dollars don't even have the cans. Went down to the city building and spoke to the mayor's office....no such law exists. read more

This has to be one of the WORST trash pick up services known to man. This company does not offer online services, and refuses to pick up trash from paying customers. They also ignore phone calls and don't mail out bills on time to continue to not have to pick up your trash. You can even meet the trash collectors in person and they won't pick up your trash! If you call ahead and make an arrangement and pay for a special pickup, they also don't honor it! 0/10, miserable company, hope they go bankrupt. read more

I bought a house in New Castle, and Aiken Refuse made me pay for the prior owners time owning the house. The lady at Aiken claimed that this is the law from New Castle. I went to city hall and discussed with the lady at the front desk. She said there is no such law. Beware these people are thieves. And outright liars. read more

Aiken's weekly trash service, or lack there of, forNew Castle residents is horrendous. Trash bags wth stickers?? Really?? Not to mention, run out of or misplace your "stickers" you better plan on a drive because those "stickers" can not be purchased in town. If you ask why, you'll be told because those of us who pay our trash bill are being inconvenienced due to the number of people who do not!! Staff at the office (the woman sitting to the left back corner when looking at plexiglass)... RUDE, NASTY and A poor representation of a "family owned" business. We weretold she wanted to see a copy of the closing papers for our house (which we took possession of 24 hours prior). We were told if that was not provided, we would be cited by the city and then back billed by Aiken since the previous owner did not have service. HOW IS THIS OUR PROBLEM, and why are you entitled to my personal information?? Again, residents, we are all screwed since we have NO CHOICE in regards to service!! AIKEN, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE and a disgrace to family owned businesses everywhere! read more

I really like the idea that the garbage and recycling pickups are on different days of the week! Not to mention they are picky on recycling they didn't even take my glass bottles but picked up all the other recycling. I have never seen anything like this before but living in new Castle we are forced to use them. If given a choice I would go with another garbage company. read more

Aiken was able to supply me with a 10 yard dumpster on a 2 day notice. They told me the dumpster could possibly stay on my property for up to 10 days. Two days after it was placed I called them to let them know it was ready for pickup. The following week I called again and I was assured it was on the schedule and would be picked up. On day 13 I called again but only got a message saying they were with another customer or on another line but would get back to me. I left a detailed message that the dumpster was still in my driveway and I was having supplies delivered in 2 days and needed the dumpster removed or it would have construction supplies that were being delivered blocking its removal. No one returned my call. And here it is, the end of day 14 and the dumpster continues to block my driveway. I should not be STORING their dumpster for this long on my driveway. I strongly recommend using a more reliable company. read more

I hope the city of new Castle doesn't renew a contract with this company. They just picked up the recyclables. I guess the people of New Castle are nothing more than a money maker for them. The times are never consistent. They said they would stay on the city's time, that was the biggest lie. I guess because we don't live where they live then it's okay to have our garbage or recyclables sitting out all times of the day and night waiting for the wildlife to get to it. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Rips you off and never sends you your tags in the mail then they yell at you on the phone like it's your fault...

Terrible customer service & the company does not hold up their end of the deal. We ensured seven times with customer service agents, and the gentleman who dropped the dumpster off, that our dumpster would be picked up by the latest possible date. Called 3 times day of the supposed pick up (after calling 4 times the week prior) and the customer service was unhelpful and terrible. We are now stuck with a dumpster in our driveway while we are heading out for town for weeks. I let the company know about this the day of drop off & each time I called to ensure pick up. Absolutely would not recommend, they've put us in a terrible spot. If you're looking for an honest and trustworthy company, look elsewhere. read more
