I asked if he wanted more work and he said yes. I contacted him again, when I was ready for the second job, and he agreed. We set a date and he requested money again. I was less hesitant the second time because he kept his word the first time. The second time he canceled, and I asked him to reschedule, rather than refund the money. He agreed. After that, 4-1/2 weeks later, he has not rescheduled or communicated about rescheduling. I said to return the money, since he is not rescheduling. He was a hard worker once, and then he was swindler who took advantage of me.

The problem continued until a second paid visit finally fixed it. Since then, we've made multiple attempts to request a refund for the original service and have not received a direct answer. Instead, the company has avoided addressing the refund altogether. Paying for a service that doesn't fix the problem is one thing--refusing to take responsibility afterward is another. Based on this experience, I would be cautious.
