The phone had been working just fine, and I only wanted to be proactive in getting it fixed. Fast-forward three days after their repair, and the same lens is cracked again, despite no drops, bumps, or accidents. I took it back, assuming a business with "CPR" in the name might stand by their work. Wrong. They claimed the crack was due to a "puncture" and refused to honor their warranty, even though I had done absolutely nothing to cause damage. I asked what good a warranty is if it doesn't cover a repair that clearly didn't hold up, and they basically shrugged it off. Honestly, I would have been better off keeping the original, lightly cracked lens than paying for a replacement that failed within days. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. I wouldn't trust this place with a phone case, let alone a repair.

He was thorough and told me the cost before I committed to the service. He got the work done in 35 minutes. The work performed solved my problem. The price was a tad more expensive than other places. I appreciate that they were open, without appointment, on a Sunday afternoon. My only real complaint is that there is no place to wait inside this large store. It seems they don't want you hanging around to wait on the service to be completed.

When I called the next day they still hadn't gotten to it. Finally the next business day when I called it was repaired. Although it did get repaired I did not like the amount of time it took, the high cost, having to return, and how they jerked me around. Geniuses? Not.

Each time I showed up early the attendant got me started without waiting. The attendant was as friendly as a technician type person could be. During my first time...the attendant sized up my Xbox problem and gave me wise advice. I decided not to have them fix the issue as it wasn't worth the cost. On this occasion...my problem was easy. I needed a battery changed on my iPhone. When I got there they didn't have a battery to replace it with. This despite knowing three days in advance that they needed one for this model. Then I hit a text an hour before my appointment reminding me to come in...to replace the battery I need that they didn't have. So..they wanted my time. Very reasonable pricing and very fast with his craft. I had an instrument cluster on a 2013 Chevy Malibu that was working intermittently. I found videos on YouTube and found a solution that required resoldering of a resistor on the back of the motherboard. He ran a test afterwards and showed me that it worked. I got the part home and it was a success. He has a no fix, no fee policy. It's people like Mike that restore my faith in humanity.

Clear tape held the thing together and made it usable. But this was not a long term solution. While I found A2 Phone Repair with some glowing reviews on Yelp, it was the recommendation from a fellow at the AT&T Store on Washtenaw which sealed the deal. A quick phone call confirmed the screen was in stock, and produced an estimate for the price of the job and how long it would take. Drop off was a breeze. The shop was clean and professional looking. As was the fellow behind the desk. The repair took just a little longer than promised, about three hours versus two, but that was no biggie. $140 for the whole thing was worth it for my kiddo to have a phone that looked as good as new... without the hassle of setting up a new phone.
