When I asked about it, I was told that it was actually a salad. There was no clear indication of this when I was choosing from the menu. For €46, I expected a substantial lobster dish. Instead, what arrived was essentially a normal salad with tomatoes and onions and only a tiny amount of lobster -- more like a few small shreds than actual pieces of lobster. For the most expensive main dish on the menu, the portion and quality were extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, the experience was made worse by the bill. We specifically said that we did not want additional bread, but we were still charged for it, and we were charged €10 for bread. There was also a cover charge that I felt should have been removed given the circumstances. The bread and cover charge are not even the main issue for me. The real problem is paying €46 for what turned out to be a very ordinary salad with a tiny amount of lobster. For Udine, where I would normally expect good-quality food at a reasonable price, this was a major disappointment. I remember the previous owners doing a much better job. Based on my experience today, I would not recommend this restaurant and would advise others to be careful when ordering the expensive dishes. MT

We started with the San Danielle prosciutto which melted in our mouths. We also enjoyed deliciously seared scallops in tomato water with polenta and smoked mackerel stuffed ravioli topped with herring roe which I will remember for the rest of my life.
