Dr. Price wishes he were an oral surgeon so badly that, in my experience, he was willing to…read morerepresent himself to me as an oral surgeon and use me like a guinea pig for procedures that ultimately changed my face and dental health forever. If I could leave -10 stars, I would. I trusted Dr. Price because I believed what I was being told about his qualifications and the treatment being recommended to me. I consented to procedures believing I was in the hands of someone qualified to perform the type of surgical treatment being proposed. Had I understood then what I understand now, I would NEVER have allowed this treatment to proceed without consulting an oral and maxillofacial surgeon first. Nearly two years later, I am still living with the consequences every single day. My face will never be the same. I have been left with a defect/socket in my upper arch. I am missing my front teeth and stuck wearing a flipper. My lower teeth have been flared and pushed forward. I have a food trap between #30 and #31. I have gone from specialist to specialist trying to figure out how--or whether--my face, teeth, bite, and smile can even be restored. This isn't a bad cosmetic result that I can simply forget about. I live with it every time I look in the mirror, eat, speak, smile, or put my flipper in my mouth. I pursued a malpractice claim because of what happened to me. Meanwhile, I am the one who has spent two years searching for answers, getting additional opinions and trying to determine what surgeries or reconstructive options are even possible. I originally sought treatment because I wanted a relatively small area corrected. I never imagined that decision would lead me here. Now I am facing the possibility of extensive reconstruction, potentially even an All-on-4 solution, just to get out of a removable flipper and have functional teeth again. The people involved in my treatment get to continue with their lives and practices. I don't get to walk away from what happened. I carry the result on my face every single day. Before allowing Dr. Price--or ANY provider--to perform significant surgical, bone-grafting, implant, periodontal, or reconstructive procedures, I strongly encourage patients to independently verify the provider's credentials and specialty and obtain opinions from appropriately trained specialists. Do not simply assume that the person recommending the surgery is the right specialist to perform it. I wish more than anything that someone had given me that advice before I trusted Dr. Price with my face.

As a Marine Corps Veteran,I neither expect or nor do I require any type of military discount and I…read morehave the upmost respect for establishment that offer them. But I have a serious problem with any business, but especially professional medical practitioners, using an advertised military discount to bait and switch. More problematic is attracting, unsuspecting older Veterans who would not even question a patriotic provider who is offering any discount Dr. Anastassatos website states: "Dr. Anastassatos also offers discounted dental care services to military veterans. Military veterans requiring implant placement and crowns are encouraged to visit AZ Healthy Smiles to get their new smiles at a 50 percent discount." The person I spoke to at Dr. Anastassatos office firs said that it must be something that another office or location offers. I told her that it was on the azhealthysmiles.com website she went back and checked with the Dr or Manager, who told her that it's some kind of third-party thing that's very complicated. She then explained that the discount was only for the implant portion. I showed her on the website where it said implant placement and Crowns add a 50% discount. She had no explanation. Many dentists use the classic dental implant bait-and-switch that involves advertising a very low price or discount on a dental implant, knowing that the average layperson doesn't know that the implant does not include the crown(visible tooth). My problem with Dr. Anastassatos is that his office takes it a step further by actually saying in writing implant and crown 50% military discount. There are a lot of vets out there that have enough problems without getting deceived by dental practitioners. Especially since Veterans do not get any dental coverage unless they are 100% disabled. So I disabled Veteran with a 90% disability and all other veterans have no dental coverage. That being said, from all the reviews that I've read, the doctor seems like a very good practitioner. Forewarned is forearmed

The overall quality of customer service here has taken a noticeable dive. What once felt organized now feels careless and the first impression sets the tone for everything else. Because of this, Rain just lost this dentistry a long-time client. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. On January 20, 2025, I went to Chandler Modern Dentistry to replace a broken crown they had placed…read moreabout a year earlier. After taking an X-ray, they confirmed the crown was cracked. However, while attempting to remove it--after grinding it down--the dentist suddenly told me the root was also cracked. This came as a complete shock. I had no symptoms prior to my visit--no pain, swelling, or discomfort--and even the X-ray taken that day showed no visible crack. When I asked to see the issue, I was handed a mirror and noticed a bulge in the tooth. What concerned me most was the long pause the dentist took after applying significant pressure, which I believe may have caused the root to crack in the first place. The procedure lasted seven hours and left me in excruciating pain for two weeks. I developed blisters and sores around the injection sites, could barely eat solid food, and lost 10 pounds. I missed work and had many sleepless nights. Even worse, I had to return and call the office multiple times due to a foul smell, bloody drainage, and ongoing pain that continued for over a month. I canceled my follow-up appointment and decided not to return. Unfortunately, despite not completing the procedure, they still charged the full amount through my payment plan. I verbally requested a refund on February 28 and was told it would be processed in 10 business days. When nothing happened, I formally followed up on March 31. The office manager assured me again that the refund would be issued--but here I am, still waiting. This has been one of the worst dental experiences of my life. For anyone considering this office, please be aware: Chandler Modern Dentistry is not BBB-accredited, and based on my experience, they don't seem concerned with patient well-being or accountability.

I'll start with, I loved my dentist (La Mesa Dental) in San Diego so much so that i drove back and…read moreforth my first three years here in AZ just so I didn't have to find a new dentist. I know ridiculous. I finally decided to look closer to home and after being super uncomfortable walking into some offices, I found Dr Baker's office. I walk in... it has a clean, open and comfortable reception area. Freshly painted, modern living room feel...not stiff and scary or cluttered with magazines. Office staff greeted me, they were knowledgeable and friendly. First thing I see as I sat down was an old dentist chair (very cool) and two stand up boards of Dr Baker--full body... I thought...well...he's either really stuck on himself or has an excellent sense of humor (it is the latter, thank goodness!). I met with the hygienist (Curtis) who did the standard X-rays, gum assessment (both painless and very efficient, I will add) and then he cleaned my teeth--EXCELLENT cleaning. Wow. I later learned he's been at this 20 years, 10 of which with Dr Baker. Anyhoo, afterwards met with Dr Baker and he assessed what work needed to be done... he was gentle, to the point and didn't talk AT but TO me...and also not while poking and prodding me with dental implements. We had a nice chat afterwards. He's local to AZ. Grew up in Snowflake, UofA grad... afterwards, I spoke with their billing person who drives an hour each way to work for him...that's dedication. The biller had only planned to only fill in for the previous biller who retired but is now with him permanently. She prepped me with what my insurance may/may not cover so that I could plan ahead... my next appointment is coming up, as well as my next cleaning. I'm looking forward to my next dental visits... and I won't have to drive to San Diego for them. side note: I love that his staff likes their work (it shows) and they've been with him for some time...to me that indicates not only is he a good dentist, but also a good employer/person to warrant such a dedicated staff.
