    This is my experience with Felix…read more Judge for yourself if he deserved a rating of 5 or not. Or if deserves a 6 (?) FIRST OF ALL: When I found his existing Yelp page and saw there was ONLY 5-star reviews, I was suspicious. One time I rented an AirBnb and after the rental was over the scam was "I'll give you a discount for a 5-star review". Was this the case with Felix Backflow? ANSWER: not at all. SECOND: My purpose in getting my irrigation backflow device tested is that I had ASSUMED that the device doubled as a pressure reducer. By email, when making my appointment, Felix advised that no, backflow only does backflow prevention. Just now he told me in person "there might be a 10% reduction in pressure as it goes through the passages, but it's not designed to reduce pressure". THIRD: He arrived on time, and on a Saturday afternoon (his preference, I think because he had a nearby appointment earlier anyway). He had previously advised me by email that a backflow test was $65.00 and a rubber kit installation was $230, if repair is needed. FOURTH: He tested my backflow. He said it functioning normally. He answered my questions about irrigation pressure and gave me some reasonable advice. FIFTH: I asked him as he picked up his toolbox and work order clipboard, "how can I pay you? Do you take check?" HIS ANSWER: "Oh, no charge. I was in the area anyway. If you want to, just put your experience online... what is that site? I can never remember..." (It was YELP!) He shook my hand and I said I felt like hugging him! (No hug actually took place). So there you go... THIS WAS UNBELIEVABLE! He made a housecall, tested my backflow, and DID NOT CHARGE me! Of course he'll probably charge you... and I am not sure why he didn't charge me... but he didn't. So now I have my opinion of Felix BackfloW Prevention. With NO negative reviews, and all 5-stars, it's well-deserved. Honest, knowledgeble, kind.

    I live in a complex that uses J Vitale as the landscape service. My husband was outside putting our…read morebaby in the car and took a picture of a tree overhanging our unit. A J Vitale landscaper approached my husband, accused him of taking his (the landscaper's) photo, and demanded to see my husband's photos on his phone. (We have our security camera video showing all of this.) My husband showed him the phone (with no picture of the landscaper) and the landscaper accused my husband of having deleted the photo. The landscaper refused to identify himself (so that we could report him to his company) and instead demanded our names. The landscaper told us if we wanted to know who he was to call his company. I called J Vitale immediately and spoke to David. David said the landscaper should have identified himself and was not behaving correctly; I gave David a description of the landscaper, our complex name, and the license plates of the two trucks in the lot. With this information David identified the landscaper as Romero, the landscaping supervisor of our complex. David said he would follow up on Romero's behavior. In a subsequent phone call, David changed his stance and said that we were harassing Romero, the landscaper. He did not give details as to what we had done to harass him. J Vitale then also sent us an email that said (1) this is an HR matter and they are not legally allowed to tell us what their opinion was concerning the issue and (2) in order to keep this from happening again, we should avoid approaching J Vitale landscapers (which we did not do) or taking photos, "however innocent". This is completely ridiculous: first of all, why would we be taking a picture of the landscaper to begin with, because we definitely were not. We were not even aware he was there until he approached us. Second, for a company to say they will not control their employees and instead you should not take pictures in public areas is incredibly inappropriate. We still don't know why Romero thought we were taking his picture or why was so aggressive about it. If you have Romero working on your property, you need to be aware that he is aggressive and will accuse you of things you did not do. And if you contact them about employee misbehavior, they will change their stance like David did to protect themselves. J Vitale is a company that seems to allow it's employees to bully the people who pay their bills. Hire just about anyone else.
