His broad scope of expertise, humanity, tact, and sense of humor have made a lasting positive impact on my life. Like most of his other patients, I can say without hesitation that I consider him and Peggy to be a part of my extended family. I will never forget receiving an unprompted call from Dr. H late in the evening many years ago after they learned of a sudden health crisis that my parent suffered. Thankfully, my parent's crisis eventually resolved; but that brief check-in from Dr. H touched me deeply. I knew that I was not alone and that he genuinely cared. Unheard of in modern medicine, when you call their office after-hours and connect with the emergency line, the phone rings at Dr. H's house. They trust their patients not to abuse that access; but the small number of times that my family needed it, Peggy and Dr. H were on the other end of the line, providing useful information and reassurance, even at 4AM. My experience as a patient of Dr. H's played no small role in my own journey towards becoming a physician. I often find myself trying to recall one of his totally unique and pithy one-liner jokes when I need to break the ice with a new patient. Family practices like this one are virtually impossible to find these days. The world would be a much better place if everyone had a medical team like Dr. Horowitz and Peggy.

With covid and how things are run differently now, communication is KEY! Peggy sent me all the health forms that needed to be completed in a timely manner via email. She was wonderful at responding to my emails, and she made things so easy! They went out of their way to see me in person in a really short notice as my visit required necessary clearance for my nursing program. They only have certain days for appointments but she made an exception for me as my work schedule conflicted with their in-person office visits. Peggy also sent me my labs on a Saturday as I requested if she could send it to me as soon as they receive it.. they are closed on Saturdays and she did that for me (I am so grateful!). I also want to say that I drove from Monterey Park to Dr. Horowitz's office on a Friday during the time that there is so much traffic (traffic alone in this area if you already know is hideous) but I would do it again! Thank you so much Peggy and Dr. Horowitz!!

From the moment we walked in, this clinic exceeded our expectations…read more The space is clean, aesthetically pleasing, and genuinely calming. It feels homey and welcoming, which is rare, especially considering this is both primary care and urgent care in one. The clinic is also very modern and efficient. We were given an email address to submit medical documents, and everything was uploaded seamlessly. The receptionist was patient, friendly, and welcoming. Although we noticed the clinic serves many Armenian patients, we never once felt judged or treated differently. We first met with a student nurse practitioner who had a warm demeanor, asked thoughtful questions, and listened carefully while taking detailed notes. It felt thorough and unrushed. When Dr. Manuk Chulyan came in, it was immediately clear he had already reviewed my mom's history. I explained her recent hospitalization and new diagnosis of advanced kidney disease, along with our frustration with prior gaps in care. He was compassionate and attentive, especially toward my mom, who was visibly anxious and overwhelmed. He carefully reviewed her labs, uploaded outside records, and updated medications with great attention to detail. He was receptive to coordinating appropriate follow-up care with specialists and addressing our concerns without hesitation. What truly stood out was his willingness to help with necessary medical documentation and support requests. There was no resistance, no judgment, and no sense that we were asking for too much. In a time when my mom already felt vulnerable, that calm willingness meant more to us than words can express. He also took time to understand how her condition affects daily life and was supportive of resources that could help improve her overall well-being. In a quiet, sincere moment, he mentioned God to my mom. It was gentle, respectful, and not forced. My mom left feeling comforted and understood in a way she hasn't felt before with a primary care provider. Mary, the office manager, was exceptional. She was patient, kind, and incredibly helpful with paperwork, and even went out of her way to explain additional resources we weren't initially aware of. Appointments are easy to make, we arrived early, and they were punctual. We left feeling heard, supported, and genuinely cared for. We truly love this clinic. Parking is limited, but street parking is available. Highly recommend. PS This review was not solicited. It is shared voluntarily and reflects our honest and heartfelt experience.

I'm so used to providers misunderstanding and/or mistreating my kid that I was truly shocked by how awesome they were. Turns out he didn't have an ear infection, but even the doctor who examined him was simply AMAZING working with him. Patient, attentive, respectful, curious, playful, and supportive. He didn't judge me for bringing him in, or act like we'd wasted his time. I seriously wanted to hug him at the end, lol. I wanted to hug all of them!
