As a diamond members, we got upgraded to a king junior suite. The suite was very large and there was nothing "junior" about it. The living room was very spacious, the bedroom had a large cal king bed, and the bathroom was large. It was fitting for two of us. We were also offered complementary 7am-11am breakfast each day. Here are my pros and cons of my stay here: Pros: - Checking in was quick and the receptionist was very nice and helpful - We got a complimentary dessert gift upon arriving - Large rooms. Living room and bedroom was divided. Both were huge. - Cal King bed was very comfortable. The pillows were nice too. - Rooms were cleaned and cleaning crew was great - Robes and slippers were provided - One of the best complementary breakfast for diamond members. Otherwise you can pay for it - Beautiful hotel. The design is nice. - There is a 24 hour gym - 10-15 minute walk from train station - I liked their large bathroom. They had had a rain head shower option. - Light up makeup mirror for my girlies - There was a fridge and waters were stocked everyday. They gave us mineral and still waters. - Complimentary WiFi - Large safe in room - Right across from a mall - Service was overall great and quick - Elevators were quick Cons: - Far from Milan (about a 20-30 minute train ride) I was honestly very happy with our stay here and couldn't have asked for anything better. I felt we were taken care of and looked after. I recommend it if you are looking to stay at a place. The only thing is it isn't super centralized but the train rides weren't bad.

Even entering in the lobby was less copycat same old same old, and closer to elegant home from bygone days. Beautifully decorated with modern vision but retaining old world characteristics, it struck the perfect balance. The iron gates at the entrance to the driveway when closed at night seem to settle the property into its own self-contained exclusive retreat. The grounds were immaculately kept and ideal for strolling. The creaky wood floors, the stone stairs, the casement style windows. 18th and 19th century art, frescoes , and occasional chandeliers. And baby grand piano completed the immersion. The modern touches and accoutrements kept the Villa from being a tourist attraction only. Because it was the beginning of the holiday season, the staff took their time decorating each room of the main areas with holiday decor and a beautiful Christmas display right off the lobby. Even outside the building and trees were decorated with white lights giving a warm glow to the property. The wi-fi worked well, the beds were comfortable and the coffee / tea in the rooms was appreciated.

There were concerns with our outbound flight, and they made every effort to acquire different travel arrangements, and even the 'worst case' scenario of additional stay if needs must. Bar not open either. Rooms hot as hell. Impersonal attitude of the staff. There was much noise coming from certain citizens yelling for hours at night outside the hotel, and the military police were sitting outside watching one night. And then if that wasn't enough, we reserved a van (specifically asked for a van for 4 passengers with 4 large bags), and they gave us a small taxi wagon. We had to hold several pieces of luggage in our laps on the 1/2 hour trip to the airport. Completely unacceptable for what was advertised on British Airways as a 4 star hotel. We stayed 1 night in both Florence & Venice at Star Hotels during our stay, and they were both lovely with open restaurants, open bars, and good A/C.

We had the view of the front part of hotel overlooking the parking lot. No obstructions or tall buildings. The fridge was stocked with two canned waters. Which came in very handy on the night we checked in. The accessible bathroom was good, the shower was ok - just the door seemed a little flimsy. Breakfast for us vegans was OK - but what made it excellent was the staff on duty for all the three breakfasts. We notified them we were vegans and they pointed out what was good for us. The next two days at least one person came out with something just for us. That was heart warming as we had few choices. The front desk again was just absolutely amazing as well. Very friendly and helpful. Just one negative - location. Far away from (public transit) the last metro station and then a bus and then an approx 10 minute walk.

We spent all night in the lobby trying to figure out what was happening, and it was simply the most ridiculous, overpriced, rude experience. On the other hand, the rooms were nicely decorated and the breakfast was good (hence two stars). While we had a good stay, it was a bad overall experience.
