The personnel we met were very helpful and quite engaging. Our room was in the back and we had a small balcony with a table and four chairs. The bathroom was modern with the partial glass showers common in Europe and the space was large enough for three beds including one that looked like it might be out of Scheherazade. A quiet place out of the city if you want to stay out of the traffic and only brace it in and out of the city once a day.

The hotel needs to start renovating, cause you can tell it's time for an hotel improvement. Parking is with security and cost us €7 for the day. It's not far from the center of Milan, and we can't really complain about our stay. Breakfast was included, and there was a lot of food to choose from, so we left rested and full. I really needed an early check-in and they were able to swing that for me with my Marriott Lifetime Gold Status. The room was nice and had wooden floors. Nothing special but had everything I needed. I was invited to attend the grand opening celebration, Urban Oasis, and got to see the different areas of the hotel including restaurants and the pool area. Not bad for free food and all-you-can-drink event. This hotel has two restaurants to choose from: Silene Bar and El Patio del Gaucho. The service was friendly here but had a few issues: 1) Hotel bacon is terrible and breakfast as whole was not great. 2) Incorrect point total was credited for my stay (clerical) which took excessive follow-up attempts on my end and was finally resolved after several weeks. FYI... I really needed some Euros but there was not much in terms of change service in the area. I had to take a cab (50 Euro round trip) to change dollars in the city center. There was a subway option but a transfer was needed and still looking at 25 - 30 minutes. 3.5 stars!

So many light switch that it took me about 10 minutes to figure out which ones goes where. The view from our room was worth the travel. And there's actually a charger for a room service....but it's ok since the room makes up for it. Overall, hotel points is 4.5 except for those minor items that should be in the room.

I'm debating between a 2 and 3 star review, but there were a few issues that made me less than…read morethrilled, but since due to price, free parking and location, I will round up. First of all - location is totally fine. It doesn't seem that wonderful, but the hotel is about a block from the train station and we didn't feel weird at all walking around at night or on the train. The hotel has free parking, but it is a very very tiny parking lot with not a lot of room, so if you have a larger car - beware (or ask them to help you park). Check in was rather easy, and the person at the desk was quite friendly. I was there with my college and he did end up confusing our rooms which caused some confusion later with the keys, but it wasn't a big deal (though it might have been in a different situation if we had booked different sized rooms). There is a person to help with the bags and he was also quite friendly, but I did get the impression that they preferred to bring our bags up for us vs us carrying them. However, since the elevators are super tiny, I'm not sure we all would have fit with our bags. There are also some steps to the elevators, so the luggage wasn't really easy to handle anyway. The decor in the lobby is a bit RED, but it looks comfortable enough and I think there is also a small bar in the back. When we came back after dinner, there was also a fire which made it cozy. On to the rooms...they are pretty small. We had actually booked larger rooms and then when we checked in, we seem to have been given the smaller room (either size was small, but this was like 12 sq m I think?). They did not charge us for larger rooms, but I would have liked to know this when we checked in to double confirm what room we were supposed to have. We had specifically booked specific room sizes. Actually, nothing was confirmed with us when we checked in - they just took our passports and then gave us keys. It was fine for one night, but if you are staying longer, I would suggest a larger room (I would assume the bathrooms are a bit larger as well). The amenities are not what I would consider 4 star - but in Europe, the star ratings are not the same as in the US. It was clean (though, the corners of the shower had a little mold in mine - otherwise, the room was totally spotless). Checkout was quick, but we had some issues as we needed specific information on our invoices and they refused to reprint them for us. They said they didn't know how and had messed up a bunch of information. It was kind of annoying that they didn't seem to want to help us, but when you're traveling for work - we need things a certain way and I found them to be less than helpful. Overall, it was a fine stay and for one night on the way to the airport, it was ok. However, if I were returning on vacation, I would stay in a hotel with larger rooms and more amenities.
