We booked this hotel with our Costco Travel and it was the only one on our trip we did not upgrade and what a mistake! This is not a family friendly hotel, the rooms were not well kept, and we received inconsistent linens service. The breakfast was horrible and we decided to have breakfast outside the hotel the remainder of our stay. The location is about 15 min taxi drive to the Main Milan Duomo and the Shopping Galleria and 20 min taxi drive from the Golden Rectangle. The staff was nice but the hallways, rooms were dingy and warm and not very appealing. Skip this hotel unless you really need a lower cost option.

Inconsistent and disappointing were 2 descriptors that I can come up with…read more I choose this hotel over NH Touring due to access to a gym. While both my room and the lobby were nicely decorated, the hallway was rather dated. Wifi faded in and out and was super slow for videos. Staff was a mixed bag: Simone speak perfect English and was very resourceful; his female counterparts were anything but. Anecdote #1: when I complained to a receptionist that my room didn't have a/c when it's 25C out and could I please get a fan, her response was "no, but you can open the windows". Well, I stayed in room 811, on the top floor, and got plenty of Sun in the afternoon. So the room was literally the same temperature as outside. How would you like your server in a restaurant tell you that you should have had the salad instead after you complained that your chicken was overcooked? Anecdote #2: long line of people trying to check in on Sunday @ 10 am, while I tried to check out to catch a 12:25pm flight out of MXP. I asked Mery: "There's a long line of people, is there someone else at the front desk?" Her response: "Our check out time is 12 noon." No kidding! Lack of service mentality was mind boggling. Lack of listening skills and ability to offer solutions were even more so. Disappointing? Yes. Will I return? Probably not.

I will return, because I do love Milano. The location is close to the train depot and you are within walking distance to shopping, be it groceries or restaurants or clothes and what not. The staff is friendly and speak English. There is cute friendly dog that just hangs out. Don't be afraid of him! Breakfast is a great assortment of breads, juices, fruit, coffee, and thin meats. There's a nice garden to enjoy your breakfast or to relax. Wifi is available and fortunately was good in our room. Our room, faced the street and had nice tall ceilings. It was pretty spacious. Because it faced the street, there were bars on the windows. You could still operate the shutters to open, which I like. There is air conditioning, but we didn't use it often since the weather was nice. Since we had wifi, we didn't use the tv or the telephone. But I'm sure they worked fine. The rooms were clean and simple but a great deal for what we paid for. The bathroom was also a little bigger than other Italian bathrooms so it was great! Can't wait for my next trip to Milano. This will be my home port. I hope they still have good reasonable prices because this place is a deal!! Ciao!!

Great location, nice staff, agreeable big rooms and everything is functional. Only annoying thing…read moreis that there were tons of mosquitoes in the room. We arrived at 11pm due to our train being 1h late, and after 10' in the room I had killed 2 of them. So off we went on our midnight quest for Mosquito spray. I guess most people don't care but if you have sweet blood you'll know what it feels like to spend the next 5 days hitching yourself everywhere... So I would recommend packing a mosquitoes spray if you're sensitive to them. And in case you forgot, Farmacia Ambreck (metro station "Loreto", 15 min walk) is open 24/7, ask for zanzara spray... The rooms are tiny and dismal; ripped curtains, plain walls, super small showers. Absolutely nothing remarkable. The air conditioning didn't work in our room, we had to open the window to get air and as a result got several bug bites. Again, the staff was AMAZING. But wouldn't book here ever again.

The upsides to this place are that it's clean, very modern and fairly reasonably priced. Rooms are…read morevery neat with modern colorful and graphic decor. Each floor is color coded with similar striking graphics and grayscale photos that include colored sections that match the decor. Rooms have small fridges and a decent size tv (if that's important to you) There's a skeleton crew of staff that seem friendly enough but not overtly so. The downsides are the rooms are pretty small and there is no view whatsoever out the window. I'm not talking about a view of the alleyway or the car park, I'm talking about a 3 foot tall piece of frosted glass that blocks any view for anyone under 7 feet tall! Now there's not much to see outside on the front of the hotel but on the backside (west side) where my room was located was a nice park with a soccer field , playground and benches. Not sure why I wouldn't want to see that. but still, that's a new one for me. The biggest problem IMHO is that that pace is kinda in the middle of nowhere. It's 30 min walking to the cathedral and the shops near there and other than the Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio there really isn't much nearby in any direction. If you've got a car or are familiar with the metro ( there is a nearby stop) this might be more appealing but if you like to explore on foot there may be better options for you.

Check in was simple, and the desk clerk was very helpful. Our room was small, but more than enough for my husband and I and our 14 year old son. We aren't too picky, just want clean and safe. This was much more than that. The bathroom had radiant heat floors and a towel warmer. The breakfast, which was included, was outstanding! The two girls who were hosting were very friendly and the food much more elaborate than the continental advertised. There is a small, indoor shopping center within a 5 minute walk. There's a grocery store, stock up here for water, soda, etc. There's a selection of fast food type places to eat as well as a sit down restaurant. Small fridge in the room, no microwave. Free breakfast buffet with cheese, salami, scrambled eggs, rolls, etc. What is the small, ankle-level sink in the bathroom for (see pictures)?
