After my initial stress and panic I finally called Redferns. Chris answered and got to me within 25 minutes. Intially this was a mobile service and when he got there, he then told me he had to get his tow truck and take it back to his shop. He got it back there with no additional cost. It had to stay iver night because it was late. However, today he called me around noon said he found the initial issue and fixed that too. Gave me a very humble and honest review of what needs attention to my vehicle after having saved me in this stressful circumstance. Thank you so much Chris! Truly an earth Angel. I was out of state and needed my 81' F-100 repaired. My truck needed Brakes and bearings replaced,…read moreoil change and just to make sure it was drivable and in good shape. I had the Truck picked up around March 3rd 2022. They told me the brakes were just fine according to the mechanic when I knew they were shot. Then charged me almost 1000 dollars to do the front brakes and bearings. Then told me on May 6th that my truck was ready to go. Turns out the brakes were still mushy and not working properly and they had never changed the Master cylinder. They told my Dad (a seasoned and accomplished mechanic) that all old Trucks were like that. They installed a master cylinder and charged me another 200 bux. My dad went back and got the truck May 12th. The Truck still wasn't right but I wasn't about to drop more money on this worthless shop. I would rather just fix it myself. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these crooks. They have no business working on anything if they cant fix an old ford Truck right.
