I was able to continue classes all the way until my last month of pregnancy, and the staff was always understanding and accommodating of my needs. I especially loved the different class variations and teaching styles each instructor brought, every class had a great flow and never felt repetitive. The instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely care about their clients. The staff is also so friendly and welcoming. I took an introductory class with Stephanie and was hooked! Given my schedule, I signed up for 4 classes/month. I'm 12 classes in and starting to feel pretty good! It has become a stress reliever after a crazy day at work, and I REALLY look forward to the classes. The class size is small so you don't feel like you're just a number. The instructors check in with each person to see how they're doing and their condition, help guide you through the exercises, use equipment properly and safely, modify movements as needed,and have you working out to fun music! I'm at Level 1.0 but I feel like every time I go, there's always something new. I also love the fact that you don't have to feel self-conscious or awkward being there. They have a diversity of people in class of all shapes, sizes, and ages who are all at different stages of their fitness journey. Give this place a try!

I paid for services they did not honor per their agreement. This club does not value customer service, in any capacity. The first class I took with the lead instructor was not great. I being a beginner needed some guidance and the instructor was not helpful in any capacity. When I requested help, I got an eye roll & I was made to feel like I was a nuisance. Moving forward to booking additional classes as time progressed every class I attempted to book was always full . Granted it is a smaller studio and the parking is also very limiting which is also discouraging. After working out at other studios and gyms that they are much more accommodating and helpful then Club Pilates. Club Pilates in San Marcos is not worth the money at $30 a class. I also get a much better workout at other studios and gyms that are less. I asked to get a refund on the remainder of my class package I purchased and was told to go to other locations that are not convenient for me.

I started as an intermittent visitor when they were in the studio in the strip mall, joined when they were hanging out in Poway at the soccer park and continued the path as it moved to the business park. This is were life becomes a marvel! Challenges occurred. FWRD+ focused, stayed on track and prevailed. The new location is a class junkie's spaced-out dream! Yes! There is plenty of space, fresh air with giant fans, rollup doors and beautiful plants. It's at least 4 times the size. The vast lobby and the roomy classroom with the high-impact floors are touched with a tasteful decor. Multiply this with the quality classes, merchandise and other woman-owned options like Fresh Creations, you've got more opportunities. You can workout, hang out or even eat while you're becoming reacquainted with yourself, new friends or simply being. The owner, Ann Marie, does a great job keeping the place looking luxurious and feeling pampered while you get your ass kicked. I found the Pilates Passion website and thought what the heck, give them a call. I scheduled my first private session with JD- I was comfortable, not intimidated at all and worked up a little sweat- I was surprisingly sore the next day. JD showed me some really great tips on breathing which I try and do at work and in the car. I've taken sessions with the owner, Anne Marie, as well and she is such a positive guide and lets you know how to maximize the moves to get the full effect- the rear end kicks are killer! I am NOT a gym rat- I go when I have time, sometimes I'll go a few times a week, sometimes less, sometimes not at all... depending on my schedule and mood. I will continue with Pilates because it just feels like therapy for my body. I never dread a session which is a fantastic sign. Some other Pilates studios, especially in the Rancho Bernardo area, are very cold and intimidating but not this little studio. I don't stand for snooty-ness and this place is not like that at all. Give the first free session a shot and maybe you'll get hooked like me. If not, you didn't lose anything and can be proud of not knocking it til you've tried it.
