They offer classes and degrees for everything from wood carving and wood turning to cabinet and furniture making. They also have one of the best Guitar Making Technology certificate programs consisting of 9 classes and 26 units. The facilities and instructors are amazing. I love that each class is project-based, so you end each semester with an heirloom quality piece of woodwork. Palomar College CFT has their own lumber mill, and they partner with the city to turn tree waste into unique and usable lumber. That makes it the only place in the world where you can get specialty woods like Torrey Pine, and it's only available to students in the woodworking classes. The CFT100-Woodworking Fundamentals class is the pre-requisite for most of the other classes. Students usually build a pendulum or mantel clock for that class while learning woodworking basics along the way. I took CFT100 as a beginner and learned a ton, but even seasoned woodworkers have said that class is worth taking and learning the "right" way to do things. I can't say enough good things about the people running this program, from the instructors and teaching assistants to the fellow students, they are a joy to work with and learn from.

This company contacted me to send my Auto Technicians to a class they were holding in our area. I…read morelooked at he curriculum and it looked like it would be a good fit. I sent 2 techs, at over 200 dollars each. After the first day I called into complain that this class was for beginners and that I wish to talk to someone about this matter. No Return call. I sent my techs for the next night and the same results; instructor read from a manual and it was a basic course and just named off the parts of a diesel engine. They refused to return my money even tho I had called in which was the requirement if you were not satisfied. After several phone calls someone called and was very rude and said that they would only give me credit for 1 seat at one of their other classes. Not Except able. See below for what the class portrayed. DO NOT SEND ANY OF YOUR EMPLOYEES TO THERE CLASSES. (This course covers the latest diagnostic strategies and operation procedures of Today's diesel engines and the focus will be After Treatment Systems, EGR and Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 emissions systems. Technicians have reported that these systems are difficult to repair and that information is hard to find, limited or inaccurate. By attending this course, you will get the hard to find information and help you need to diagnose and repair these problematic systems. Information in this class will not be found in manuals and certainly not taught in other classes. Real World Diagnostics, Service procedures and Solutions are given plus a whole lot more.)

CRAZY STORY... I couldn't recommend this place enough or more specifically Jim Gleason. You see in…read more2014 I had an AVM brain rupture and am considered mentally disabled . Well after not being able to drive for 3 years after my brain surgery i decided to give driving a shot with the "driving program" at a local hospital which turned out to be a SCAM because the "therapist" never even took me behind the wheel after a 6 month program (BEFORE THE DRIVE TEST). So at the time my parents helped me find this place , a place that would work with someone with a disability and it just so happened to turn out that Jim Gleason pulls up and we had a little reunion with my parents after literally not seeing Jim since I was like 17! I am 40 now. Anyway point here is that Jim is SO patient and motivating and more than that he's understanding . Just wanted to boast about this man because this is the 2nd time in a span of around 23 years that he helped me regain my freedom , confidence , a job and because of him I am able to drive to work church or where ever I need to be! THANK YOU JIM I'll never forget you. I came on here 9 YEARS later because someone on the SM community page is asking for recommendations for a good driving school and so I had to show some love. What's the point? Counselors basically told me everything I took on the CSU Gen Ed transfer list was useless and not going to count. I was super proud to finally transfer to a university after taking 4 years to do community college while working. I was ready to take on my last 2 years of school full time but of course now I'm dropping out. I thought I did all the right things by following your Gen Ed guidelines for transfer. Horrible transfer experience!!
