I truly cannot say enough positive things about this school. Throughout most of her middle and high school years, my daughter participated in the online program so she could pursue her surfing dreams. Her high school teacher, Deanna Benattia, was an incredible teacher during the last 4 years. She is kind, helpful, caring, patient, and goes above and beyond for my daughter. Thank you, Classical Academy.

She didn't follow the CDE requirements for IS at all and used her husband's position as assistant principal to protect her position. Instead of guidance we got weekly emails about her weekends with her kids and the weather! What a joke! What does that have to do with my child's education. Furthermore the interactive learning was far from interactive or synchronous! Instead my child watched boring videos from out of state teachers with no way to connect with anyone! I don't know about the other teachers just this teacher and I can't believe she gets paid to waste my child's time with a joke of an education. We tried to switch teachers but that didn't happen so we switched schools! I only wish we switched sooner!

My kids have been going to this Kumon center for a long time. This is the first I am writing a…read morereview on Yelp because I think it is the best way to contribute my support to this Kumon center. The friendly staff and Mrs. Marie are working hard during the Pandemic to keep the Kumon center(s) running and to keep their students safe and receiving the best services as much as possible. They have to create the virtual meets, offer in-person (with 6 ft distancing layout) service according to CDC guidelines when we are allowed to go back to the center in person. The center has to thin out the tables and chairs, offering the take-home packages, and many more good features that I may not see them all. But the main point is that my kids feel more confident to talk about Math and Reading subjects with their friends. Honestly, most kids do not like to do extra work after school, but as a parent I know what is best for my kids. Your kids will appreciate your devotion and your insightful care. Thank you Mrs. Marie and the Kumon staff very much for your time and efforts.

I should have known when the office workers changed so abruptly that the school was ill managed. Very little in class prep, no explanation of the process or what the steps are within the curriculum, basically you will receive a binder and you are on your own. I recommend going to Golden State or do your research for one that focuses on the student. All they care about is signing you up, getting your credit card and they will try to sell more and more products. Other schools will provide 24 hour access to practice tests, this company wants you to go into the school because they are afraid someone will steal their tests. They will provide online access to study materials, but for a short period of time so they can sell you more. Save your money and find a better school!

I love this school, and there are SO MANY reasons why. For starters, Moni and the other various…read moreinstructors are outstanding and make the classes fun. I've taken individual and group classes, and they both are amazing. Here are a few other reasons: 1. My Spanish has improved rapidly!! So rapidly! The combination of talking and spending time on grammar is such an amazing combination. This is followed up by homework assignments that, if you do them, you WILL improve quickly like I have. 2. They find ways to meet you at your level, and always make you feel comfortable in the class to be vulnerable and try your best. 3. The instructors CARE about you and your progress. We talk about life, and discuss real things that are important to you/your Spanish, and they always are attentive and go above and beyond to help you. 4. The classes are simply fun. If you have a passion for learning a language, it has to be fun in order to be retained, and you must use it. The classes are fun enough that you don't even realize you're "in school," but rather, it feels like you're playing a game (without feeling pressured to be too competitive, though) and that has been key for my retention of information. 5. The instructors assign homework and REMEMBER YOUR PROGRESS from the week before. This provides a feeling that they care, and they never assign you the same thing twice (unless you need it). This makes me feel like a valued student, and like I'm making true progress. 6. Moni's accent is quite neutral, yet she understands how Spanish differs in various regions. This is key, as I've learned how to take a neutral approach that will allow me to speak in any country, or anywhere, without sounding like I'm stuck to just one accent.

There were two of us students in the class until very recently (which is part of what I think caused all these issues). None of my complaints involve my instructor. She was great. Last week I received a new zoom link. Didn't think it odd. Then on class day all of the sudden a new teacher & two new students are in the class. Ok. I decided to go with it. Except they're VERY new. Which is fine. It's Spanish 1. But I've been taking Spanish for 6+ months already. We're all at different levels. So after class I email the instructor. I have no desire to repeat chapters 1-6 of the book since I'm on chapter 7. Can I go back to my old instructor? Especially since I never asked to change? He tells me to "email the school". So I did. I emailed the school explaining everything. The school did not reply. They just canceled my enrollment. They didn't offer to place me in another group class that better fit my level. Just canceled. Probably because my monthly rate was the discounted one. Anyway, are the teachers good? Yes. Is the customer service horrible?? ALSO YES. they don't communicate at all. Find someplace else to learn.
