When it came time to closing, Dietric as our REALTOR was even able to support us in negotiating with the seller to account for renovation costs and repairs that we would need to take on after the sale. As our agent, he maintained integrity and did not give us any high pressure sales, even during a point when we had to figure out new financing due to rising interest rates and a loss in buying power. He was patient, and treated each house we viewed together with necessary due diligence as if it was one we might purchase. I am sharing this review to describe a very troubling experience with two agents, Nate and Or…read more Both of them were representing my friend as the buyer while also representing the seller in the same transaction -- a dual‑agency situation that requires exceptional professionalism and neutrality. From the beginning, their communication and behavior did not feel professional. Still, we chose to trust that they would handle the transaction fairly and responsibly for both sides. During a phone call, Nate added Or to the line. When I asked Or directly whether he was a broker, he answered "yes." This was not accurate, and it showed that both agents were cooperating in a way that was not honest or transparent. Their tone throughout the process was rude, aggressive, and street‑level -- completely inappropriate for licensed real estate professionals handling a high‑value transaction. Because this behavior was so unusual, I am genuinely interested to know whether Compass Corporate, the brokerage that holds their license, would agree with my concerns or not. I am also interested in hearing what the California Department of Real Estate (DRE) would say about this situation. This is not a threat -- I simply want to understand how these organizations view conduct like this from agents who represent both sides of a transaction. I believe the public should be aware of this type of conduct.

This was, without question, one of the most unprofessional and disappointing leasing experiences I…read morehave ever had. We were told that the owners wanted to secure a tenant as quickly as possible, so we acted accordingly and submitted our complete applications within three hours of viewing the property. The following day, leasing agent Hailey called to tell us that the owners liked our application and that we were in the running, but that other applicants had offered to pay the gardener fee. This was particularly frustrating because landscaping had previously been represented as an owner-covered expense, which made it feel as though applicants were suddenly being encouraged to compete by offering additional money and taking on costs that were not originally advertised as theirs. Despite feeling that this was extremely poor form, we made it clear that we did not want to lose the property. We were then told that financially, our application was stronger than the other applicants. The next day, we were officially offered the property in writing. We were told the lease would be sent to us by the end of the day for signature, and that the owner had agreed to honor the original arrangement and continue paying for the gardener. The lease never arrived. When I followed up the next day, I was suddenly told everything had been put on pause because another applicant had come in offering $200 more per month. I then spoke with another Compass agent, Jim, who specifically told me that he would not recommend that we offer more money, that they felt we were the better candidates, and that they wanted us to have the property. He said they would speak with the owners on our behalf. After hearing nothing for another six hours, I had to follow up yet again, only to finally be informed that the owners had decided to move forward with the applicant offering the additional $200. The entire experience felt incredibly misleading, disorganized, and disrespectful of our time. It left us with very little confidence in Compass's leasing practices or in the weight of anything communicated written or verbally by their agents.

This particular transaction came with its fair share of challenges, and Christina worked tirelessly through each one. She handled every issue our buyers brought to the table with calm focus and sharp problem-solving. Her ability to stay grounded in the facts rather than get swept into the emotions that often surround a home purchase was a huge asset. Most people only go through a transaction like this a few times in their lives, and having an agent who can keep everyone steady, informed, and moving forward is invaluable. She is one of the best communicators and negotiators I have met in this industry. Clear, consistent updates, direct answers, and an ability to anticipate the next step made the entire process more efficient. She knows how to advocate strongly without letting ego enter the room, and that level of professionalism is rare. In my line of work, I obsess over details. Our homes include advanced healthy-home systems like ERV ventilation, low VOC materials, and carefully selected finishes. It matters to me that the agents representing our properties understand the value behind those decisions. Christina not only understood them, she presented them in a way that buyers could appreciate, translating technical features into real-world benefits. Other qualities that make her exceptional: * Reliability that you can actually count on * A deep understanding of market dynamics and buyer psychology * A solutions-first mindset * The ability to maintain trust and momentum during stressful moments * A reputation for integrity that shows in every interaction Christina is as professional as they come, and she brings a level of care, intelligence, and composure that elevates every transaction. From the start, I gave him a list of very specific parameters for the type of home I wanted. He didn't just listen - he went to work immediately, curating options that fit my needs and handling every piece of the scheduling and coordination. Once we found the right property, he was by my side at every step: advising me on strategy, negotiating down the price, managing the relationship with the listing agent, and coordinating with my bank, insurance, and inspectors. What really stood out was that Clinton wasn't just acting as a realtor he was quarterbacking the entire process across all the moving parts, while also offering strategic (and, honestly, emotional!) support when I needed it most. Even after closing, he stayed engaged, which helped immensely as I needed continued support. Thanks to his network, I was quickly connected with trusted contractors and even got preferred rates. Clinton brings a rare mix of deep expertise, flawless execution, and humor to what can otherwise be a stressful and intimidating experience. He cared deeply about me as a client and made sure I was getting value at every step. I ended up with not just a great house at a great price, but also a realtor who has become a true friend--and my go-to whenever I have a housing question, big or small. Simply put: anyone who has the chance to work with Clinton is lucky. He's the kind of partner you want in your corner for one of life's biggest decisions.

Deborah and Gulshen belong to that rare second category. Our goal was not simply to purchase a property. We were trying to secure a place where children could learn, grow, and build their future. It was a mission close to my heart, but the transaction was anything but straightforward. Several other agents were unwilling to take on the deal because of the extraordinary challenges involved, particularly the difficulties of dealing with the agent representing the other side. To make matters worse, the commission being offered to our agents was significantly below the customary amount. Yet none of this discouraged Deborah and Gulshen. There were countless moments when they could have simply said, "That's outside our responsibility." Instead, they stepped forward, took ownership, and found ways to help. Every obstacle became their obstacle, and every challenge was met with determination, patience, and an unwavering commitment to finding a solution. Their dedication never seemed to be driven by the commission or the transaction itself.
