I'm a medical doctor with an advanced degree in physiology. I was driving on Sunday listening to WMAL, and a man was talking who represented himself as a doctor. Within 30 seconds, this person butchered the pronunciation of several prescription medications and hormones. Now, I understand that pronunciation of the chemical name of different classes of medications can be difficult for a lay person, but this person was stumbling through so badly that it was obvious he had very little understanding of medicine or physiology, let alone endocrinology or diabetes--the topics being discussed. At first, I broke out in laughter, but after listening a little longer I realized that this person was representing himself as an expert. Being unable to pronounce the names of medications and hormones is one thing, but then he misrepresented the action of several hormones which is dangerous. Just before I got home, the man suggested that listeners contact him at DrTomRoselle.com and sign up for a "free class". I looked him up and found that he is a chiropractor with quite a following who sells "Health Products" online. All I know about him is what I gleaned from listening for 15 minutes, but from what I heard and seeing the products that he sells, I would recommend steering clear. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I bought a Groupon for laser hair removal here (6 visits). The office is sort of hidden- you have to go up a flight and a half of steps and then down a hallway. The office building also has a parking lot, so parking was easy. I hated the inside of their office. It made me feel like I was at a stereotypical car salesman's office. Everywhere you see ads like "Silent killer! Doing this 10 minute test can save your life! Ask your doctor about XYZ" or "Hairy and want to get rid of it? Ask your doctor about laser hair removal"- plastered on the wall, 10-15 stacks of sales flyers for random things on a table, etc. They also have regular doctor appointments here, but as I waited, I would look around and wonder who would come here for doctor appointments. I think the most amazing thing I saw was a sign they have on their receptionist window informing sales reps that they are a sugar-free office and that they welcome only sugar-free treats. Just a little tacky. The first few visits weren't bad. The receptionist always seemed annoyed- and once when I called with a question, she basically answered my question and then immediately hung up the phone while I was trying to ask a follow-up question- but it wasn't a big deal. Four times out of six they took me perfectly on time- once I had a short wait, and once a very long wait. The two technicians who did my underarms the first few times was very helpful and made me feel comfortable. They explained what they were doing to me, asked me about my comfort, etc. And it was quite easy to schedule my next appointment- they always had availability that worked for me. I had the opposite experience with one of the technicians- she made me feel uncomfortable because she seemed really irritated and unfriendly. It was also my last visit, and she basically told me to leave without any information on maintenance or what I could expect from the treatments over time. I had also called earlier and they told me that I would get a discount on a second package. I was going to ask about it on my last visit, but since the visit went poorly, I just left. The staff also seem to forget that people in the waiting room can see and hear them- I heard one person talking about me in an irritated way when I was early for my appointment (and I told the receptionist I knew I was early). I also heard/saw them making comments or rolling their eyes at each other after people left. Overall, I was very happy with my treatment. My underarms are smooth now, and I never had any side effects or issues with the laser hair removal. Some members of the staff are nice, helpful, and professional, but the other half seem like could use some managerial oversight and need to enjoy their work a bit more. Cleaning up the office to make it look more professional would probably also go a long way. read more

I don't understand the negative reviews. I've been coming here for three months. I've always been treated with respect and compassion. Dr. Bichefsky takes the time to listen to me. She never seems to be in a rush even when there are other patients waiting. Nurses and front desk staff are always friendly. Rooms are always clean. Prior to finding this practice I was seeing a psychiatrist for med management. She was awful. I'm so happy I found this place. read more

If you go here for laser make sure you get Carol and not the doctor. Went here for laser and the doctor did it. She didn't use gel and used settings that were inappropriate for what I was getting. I ended up getting burnt with blisters and major bruising. I should have known better as she blistered me back in 2016 while helping the esthetician. I had laser hair removal here on my underarms, and the results are great. This place has a lot of seemingly unrelated services so I can't say anything about the rest (for one, they also treat addiction problems), but I'm happy with my hair removal results. I had 6 treatments and now only have to shave once a week. Although I still have SOME hair, what's left is thin and not nearly as dark. I agree that the one receptionist is incredibly rude (and every time!!) but the ladies who did the treatments were always sweet. I would recommend it, but with a warning that they have a ton of strange side businesses, so don't be too surprised at who's in the waiting room with you! You will enjoy the results! read more

I have purchased a Groupon for a laser treatment at this place. I've been here twice already for my appointments and unfortunately both times the staff at the greet-meet-register window wasn't very friendly. What I mean by 'friendly' is: not communicative, not concerned with the clients, not welcoming.... I think you get the point. You kinda get there, sit down and wander "now what?". Ageless health is NOT what you want when looking for laser hair removal services. I have been to a couple other places for these services and soon realized Ageless Health is shady, to say the least. The technicians are friendly and that might be the only upside. They are providing services out of a doctor's office (red flag #1) that also offers other ridiculous services just trying to make a buck (red flag #2). My 6 sessions were not adequate and they email me spam trying to get me to come back for a "touch up" (red flag #3). Other spas that I have been to have not required any "touch ups." They also try to sell you homeopathic creams, etc that have not been proven to be effective - again, just for extra money (red flag #4). I would avoid this place - they are hard to deal with scheduling, the receptionist is unfriendly, you feel like you are going to a shady doctor's office, and the services are unreliable. read more

I agree with the other reviewer in that the waiting area is not very luxurious. The furniture is mismatched and there are a ton of posters and flyers. However, the room in which the laser treatment occurs always looks clean. I've never had to wait for my appointment - every appointment I am taken back just about on the dot. They have a strict policy regarding missed appointments/tardiness so I've always made sure to be on time or early. The women who have done the laser treatments have all been very friendly and have welcomed my questions. They usually ask how I'm doing during the treatment. Most of the women at the front desk are nice...a few aren't super friendly, but they aren't mean either. Ageless has pretty amazing deals for patients and the laser treatments have worked wonders, so I would recommend going there! read more

Got the 6 session groupon for laser hair removal, faithfully went to my 6 sessions and followed all the rules. Although the hair fell out after each treatment it ALL grew back. Waste of time and money :( read more

I have been to this place 5 times for laser & I like the treatment , however I wouldn't come on Monday nights . The waiting room is always jammed pack patient are complaining about the doctor and the wait to see her & some of the patient look creepy ( the drug addiction patient). The front receptionists ( Older who checks you in) is very un friendly. My last treatment I went in during the day & it was a different atmosphere the front desk receptionist & laser tech are very friendly . FYI if your looking for doctor I wouldn't go here because of what I heard in waiting room &other reviews I read. Please do not go to Ageless Health ~ THEY BURNED MY LEGS PERMANENTLY! Additionally, the front desk staff is not friendly. They don't even acknowledge you with a mere "hello" when you walk in. They just continue to talk to one another. I discovered this place after I bought a groupon for Laser hair removal on my legs. It was dirty and the office decorations appeared old (that should have been a clue for me). I, hesitantly, went to my first 5 sessions without problem, but on my last session, I felt the technician burning me. When I asked her to stop, she insisted the machine was on my "normal" setting and I would be fine. After I left my session, my legs were in so much pain that I went directly to my practioner who prescribed burn medication. I immediately called Ageless Health's Dr. Bichefsky and arranged to meet with her to show her my burns. Upon arriving, the staff showed my husband and I to an office where we waited for 30 minutes before seeing Dr. Bichefsky. When I finally met with her and showed her my burns, she brushed it off as no big deal and even said that a lot of women are burned (including her own staff during practice sessions). She went on to say that the burns would fade. IT HAS BEEN A YEAR SINCE THAT SESSION AND THE SCARS ARE JUST AS BRIGHT AS WHEN THEY FIRST APPEARED. I am no longer able to wear shorts because my legs look like a war zone. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy! Do yourself favor and find a reputable office. I have nothing but good things to say about Ageless Health! I used a Groupon deal for laser treatments on my chin and neck. The receptionist and technician have both been professional, kind and friendly. The treatments are superb!! I went to another place before this and had 9 treatments to the same area, with about a 60% reduction, that required me to continually shave my chin. I've had 3 treatments so far at Ageless Health and have not had to shave in the past 10 weeks. Not one single hair has grown in during my treatments! FYI, I have very dark brown skin, and was concerned with possible burns like I experienced at the previous place that I went for treatment. No burns to report at Ageless Health! One of the lasers that they use is especially good for darker skin tones. I feel way more comfortable going to an actual doctor's office for this treatment. And I'll continue to go here for any other areas that might need laser treatment. read more
