So it's 9.30pm. I've just woken up from a three hour nap despite my protests that I wasn't feeling…read morethe effects of jetlag since leaving Edinburgh. And I was STARVING. Cue me checking out deliveroo and ubereats for something delicious that could arrive quickly. I stumbled across Triakosia and given the proximity, just decided to head on over before closing time. Now it's located on the main Street area of Clifton Hill (25 years in Melbourne and I just learnt this suburb existed). Given the late hour the place was totally empty, nonetheless I was greeted with a smile and an open kitchen. I ordered the Penelope- a lamb souvlaki with potato. After a short wait I was given my dinner and headed back to mine. Now this is a kebab made with love. It's smaller than your usual kebab but the pita bread was so soft and warm, the lamb cooked perfectly, the tatziki was so creamy and garlicky and I could taste hints of lemon as I ate. Added to that was some tomato and onion. I do think the lamb could have done with a bit more salt and overall more onion (that's just my preference) but given the late hour, I was so impressed at the way this kebab was lovingly made. Also, the interior is decorated really nicely with a super chill atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I'll start this review with the proverbial "Hella Good is hella good."…read more We came here to this area to do some shopping while we were in town, and this place grabbed my attention. The wait was definitely not for very long. We got a pager that buzzed pretty soon after we wandered off. For those who are/were unfamiliar as myself (being American on holiday), Hella Good is a place that serves Mediterranean-style wraps with pita bread filled with meat, veggies, and very delicious sauce. I got the Arnie, which includes the lamb leg meat. It was good. I don't know how it compares to other local offerings since this was one of a kind during our trip. FYI: - When you charge your card, it gives you a choice between charging in AUD or your home country's currency. Not sure if that makes a difference, but I think that's interesting. - It can get messy if you unwrap it a certain way, so have napkins and sanitizer available. - There are multiple locations.

Well, actually, no, namely because there is little difference between the two. However, the souvlakis are actually pretty awesome anyway. They also do chips, and while the herbs used in making the chips were pretty nice, I did find them a little soft. Still, the place isn't all that bad.

Checked up the location and it was only 5 blocks away from where i was staying in Melbourne so it was a definite sign that i needed to go here :D!! Found out it's Shane Delia's invention, he's a perfectionist when it comes to food, have heard plenty great things about his Restaurant Maha & have some friends who have gotten a call from him asking how the service and food was :D. Went there on a friday night, was pleasant busy but that's Melbourne for you, never really crazy busy like Sydney which you get bored off now and then :D!! My cousin ordered the Juicy which was Beef kebab & a Brooklyn lager :),  i went for the Dirty South which was fried Chicken kebab & got the Brooklyn shake :D.. bourbon, cherry, white chocolate!! Both Kebabs had the perfect insides with the meat check out the menu for details & they were wrapped in fluffy pita bread it was LOVE at first bite and then heart break at last bite but my hunger was satisfied :D!! Brooklyn lager was definitely a different tasting beer and as for the Brooklyn shake i ordered another one ;D!! I could sit down for hours, eating & drinking :)... just being mellow with the Biggie vibes :D!! Can't wait to come back.. cousin stayed in Melbourne, so got to listen to him each week about what I'm missing out on lol!!
