I purchased a pair of jeans at the store with a gift voucher, and there was a fair amount of back and forth with the validity of the voucher with the head office, but Daina took care of this matter with great follow-up and resolution. Customer service is not about dealing with ordinary customer transactions but abnormal customer dealings, and many businesses fail to understand this and do not return emails or phone calls, always "Apologizing, but not taking action." - Spirit Airways is a prime example of how not to do customer service. First Time purchasing a pair of AG jeans and it will be the last. Just because you spend $165 on a pair of jeans doesn't necessarily mean they are going to be good. After wearing and washing them a few times I noticed they started to lose their shape with the Front & Back pockets, the front became so deformed that the white liner in the pocket started showing like they weren't holding their shape. The flap denim strip where the zipper is started folding back exposing the zipper. I decided to look at what was in the fabric and I noticed something I never saw in jeans before, "Lyocel" 26%, the other 72% was Cotton. I never had a pair of jeans with the fabric "Lyocell" in it and wondered maybe that was the reason this pair of jeans lost its shape after a few months of wearing them, most jeans besides having cotton, are Polyester, Elastane, or Viscose, never have I seen "Lyocell". I contacted AG Customer Service with my complaint and just asked for an exchange of any pair of AG jeans without the Lyocell fabric and they denied my request since I did not have the original receipt. They said to contact the store, when I said the store selling your jeans had nothing to do with deciding to use this lousy Lyocell fabric. Lyocell fabric is a semi-synthetic fiber made from wood pulp but isn't a natural fiber like cotton or hemp. Lyocell can also be a bit delicate. The fibers can be damaged by high heat and rough use. This means it's best not to iron lyocell using direct high heat and to minimize machine drying. I have purchased many styles of denim Jeans, Buffalo,Madewell, Rag&Bone, Diesel, I never had a problem like this before. My advice to you is do not buy a pair of AG Denim Jeans with the fabric "Lyocell" in it!! read more

These jeans! Fabulous store in a fantastic shopping zone. The store is filled to the brim with so many styles, sizes, flavors and colors of jeans. For me, jeans shopping is stressful. I'm tall and a bigger guy, with larger thighs. Finding jeans which fit is typically a brutal affair. I googled "Men's Clothing," and zoned in on AG Jeans to start my jeans search. I've never heard of this brand before and was hopeful. I walked in, and was immediately greeted with a water and friendly faces. The ladies and gents who work here are Jeans professionals. It was amazing, easy, A+ customer service which I have not seen in a long time. They worked the entire room, catering to me and my boyfriend and others with no push or pomp. Eddie and Coy were our main men, with help from a lot of the other employees. My boyfriend and I both bought amazing, perfectly fitted jeans and will be back the next time we are in NY. I visited the Soho location back in February and had a great experience. These were the best fitting jeans I've ever tried on! I bought a pair of Farrah and have been wearing them a ton since! However, they unfortunately started to pill and now just fully ripped. I have been very cautious with washing these and air drying, so not really sure why this would have happened. I loved these jeans so much and was even recently considering buying another pair. However, I am appalled that they fell apart already only a few months into owning. For $200+ jeans, this should not be the case. I've had $40 American Eagle jeans last longer for years. Overall, wish there was some sort of return policy for this, but there doesn't seem to be. read more

AG makes some really awesome clothing, buuuut you will pay handsomely for these delightful items. These jeans...oh, these jeans. These guys fit like a glove - usually designer items are extra super skinny or oddly shaped or have stupid planet sized buttons, but AG jeans have several fits that can accommodate normal sized people with normal sized features with very very soft washes and just the right amount of stretch - WITHOUT looking ridiculous. These are your classic, great looking "going out" jeans, but are still comfortable enough to wear lounging around the house. All you really have to do is find the fit and waist size that fits best - which the very helpful staff is more than happy to assist with. Once you get your pair(s), you are measured up and they are hemmed (included in the price, $160-$190 a pair) so they will always fall perfectly, never drag, and always look sharp. I have two pairs - both are my favorites. When my wallet allows for it...i'll be in for another pair, and maybe a few shirts to match. read more

They last forever and are well worth the money. Best jeans period. Try a pair. Walk in and tell them what you are looking for. Ask about the new washes for the season; high waist, or medium. Choose length and cut. Get what looks great on your body, not what's in style for goodness sake (style has been vetted if it's in stock y'know). Ask questions; "Will this stylish hole in the knee widen rapidly?" They'll tell you the truth. These are the jeans you won't feel like ripping off the minute you get home. Comfortable and flattering and I've never had problems with fading or stretching out of shape. Farrah High Waist Skinny and Prima are my fitted faves. Wash in cold water inside out and air dry as often as possible. read more

Today I went to AG jeans to purchase a pair of wide leg jeans for myself. I have been shopping at AG and wearing Ag jeans for many years. Every time I am in NYC I visit this store and have never been more disgusted by the service than I have today. I asked the gentleman at the back for help. I told him what I was looking for and he responded saying that they only have very wide legs jeans or straight jeans. He then proceeded to tell me that the straight Jean would not be straight in me because with my thighs the jeans would t work on me. Let's put this into perspective- I am over 5' 7" and west a size 29. I found this so offensive and hurtful. No woman should ever be fat shamed and no man should get away with it. This gentleman deserves to be removed from his position as a sales associate. Shame on AG for not educating the staff on how to approach a female who may not be a size zero. I should also say that when I called the manager to complain, Brandon- he was very apologetic and offered me a 15% discount next time I shop - not really what I want and frankly I won't be shopping in this location again. read more

Awesome service! Stopped in the store on a shopping Saturday because my friend said that he needed to replace his AG jeans, since "they're the only ones [he] can wear that make [his] ass look good". His old pair had developed a hole in the backside. I didn't ask how that happened. The main draw here is their pricey jeans ($150+), sizes range from "regular" to "skinny" for men and women in varying combinations with straight- and boot-leg. Quality of fabric is top notch. Free alterations on inseam. The service is the reason why you should stop in - extremely knowledgeable sales people; and nice too! They'll mark your inseam, ask your length preference (what you normally wear with jeans), and offer you a beverage! I was asked on 3 separate occasions! The decor was nice and bright - biggest attraction was the cylindrical table made from jeans. Dressing rooms were clean. As of this review, they had HBO's Entourage-inspired clothing. I've been wearing their jeans for three years now and I refuse to purchase another brand of designer denim because AG Jeans are super comfy and make my butt look good. I was an avid AG jeans fan when I purchased a pair from a designer denim store in Beverly Center in LA. It was love at first try. I didn't know that you could find jeans that actually fit you well. When I go in this store, I'm there on a mission: To purchase a new pair of jeans that fit well. The sales associates are friendly and offer you drinks and give you a whole bunch of free gifts when you purchase something. I've also been to the store in Boston on Newbury street and was greeted exactly the same service. (Except if you're in Boston there's no sales tax) Love this store! read more

One of my favorites in Soho. They tend to get merchandise faster than the retail stores (like Bloomingdales or Scoop). They have free tailoring and the Taylor does a fantastic job. Nice selection of men's and women's apparel with more downstairs. Fitting rooms can get crowded on the weekend, so go during the week if you really want great help and no wait. Terrific selection of sizes and an occasional sale. Everyone here is really helpful and friendly, even the security guy! read more

It blows my mind that anyone would give AG less than 5 stars, they deserve 6 stars because they are peerless in their fit and feel. They make, hands down, the best jeans I've ever worn. The staff here are very well educated on matters related to their products and jeans in general. I've gone through periods where I've worn my AG jeans every day for a few months and they've held up incredibly well. No other jeans fit nearly as well as AG and the denim is uncharacteristically soft for being so durable. And they're not doused in gaudy stitching and labeling like so many other denim brands. I was recently in NYC visiting from SF and was strolling through Soho, doing some last minute shopping before going home the next day to my "City by the Bay", when I came across their store. Excited, I went in and I was in denim heaven. I tried on a few pairs and settled on a purchase of cropped "Liberty" jeans. I was so overheated that day I changed out of the Citizens I was wearing and left with my cool AG's on. Service was very nice (the gal even offered me Evian and Red Bull and a cosmetic case gift with purchase). I am an Earnest Sewn fan and have remained pretty loyal to ES after disposing of my 7's and Helmut denim due to liking ES's fit and dye. With that said, I have been wanting to try on other denim brands to expand my denim collection. My hun and visiting niece and I were strolling Soho yesterday wanting to check out the sales and AG Jeans was one of the stores we hit up. My hun is a fan of AG jeans so we swung in to check their sale out. AG Jeans has an awesome sale going on offering up to 50% off only on selected denim but it's a great sale! I am normally super lazy when it comes to trying on anything but I thought I should make the effort given that I was at the store already and so, with the encouragement of my niece and huny, I asked to try straight legged jeans in dark denim. The SA was SO SWEET and helpful he made me excited! The 2 styles I ended up buying were "The Kiss" & "The Angel" that fit me beautifully! Both styles are straight legged with one being a milder "skinny" version that felt and looked so lovely on I couldn't pass up, especially with the too hard to resist 50%! I am so happy, I can now be rid of the "boot leg" denim that was "in" a couple of years ago. The service was spectacular and we were even offered bottled water at the end of our shopping session. I experienced an extremely unfriendly "welcome" when visiting the AG Jeans store on Greene Street just at around 1 pm on April 23. After walking into the nearly empty store and having no one say hello to me, I found an employee doing what appeared to be inventory management with a clipboard along part of the jeans display on the wall. She didn't look up at me. "Excuse me," I said. "Yes," she said irritably like I was bothering her. I explained what I needed and she brusquely found someone else to help. The second salesperson was much more friendly and helpful. But what about the first? How is this person working in a customer-facing job? The scary part is I think she may even be in a managerial position in the store! Note to AG Jeans: You need customer service training for those who work in your stores about the importance of a warm welcome and never making a customer (who is there to spend money and keep you in business) feel like they are bothering you. read more

I went here because I came with a friend to the Newbury Street boutique in Boston a few years ago. They were great with her, and there was the same treatment I received at the SoHo store. I needed some hemming on a pair of grey teddyboy jeans, and they were more than glad to make the adjustments, and my jeans were ready by the end of the next day. friendly staff and i have found AG Jeans to be the most comfortable, longest wearing jeans that look great- when you stretch them out, just wash in hot water to restore much of the original character. They are expensive, but if you get on the mailing list they have a sale twice a year and that is the time to buy. read more

AG Jeans is a fantastic place to buy high end denim - the sales people are helpful and make sure that you're taken care of - though I recommend going to the UWS location as opposed to SoHo on the weekends as it's not nearly as crowded. One BIG perk of this company is that they will hem your jeans free of charge - which for me is always an extra expense after purchasing any pair of pants. It's nice to know that since you're paying top dollar for these jeans that they make sure you're completely set with everything you need. read more

Have purchased jeans from here. The jeans are very fitting and look great especially in the darker wash denim or raw denim i think they call it. The clothes is pricey and I have seen AG on sale at bloomingdales and other retailers but they have almost every size and in every color and fit. The pants are expensive but def. worth it since the material is soft and very comfortable. Originally a friend of mine recommended me this place. I went with the intention of getting one pair. I've been there a few times now and have several pairs of pants. The service is excellent and I like that they give you custom bags and offer water with purchase. They will tailor the pants for you at no extra cost. Unfortunately they don't tailor on the spot, which usually means that one must return in a couple of days, which can be inconvenient, especially if you live far and since they close around 7pm on week nights. read more
