You are not able to see the business fr9m the main thoroughfare and must turn into Exchange Street NW near the gas station to see thos small shop. People are friendly, and this was a simple alternation of a piece of clothing. Prices are reasonable, and the turnaround time is a few days. Parking will be an issue when it gets busier during the primetime hours. read more

This business is owned by a couple that are running a scam and making up prices and overcharging for simple alterations. The owners wife speaks another language and acts like she has to go to the moon to do simple alterations and speaks to her husband for him to agree. They were trying to charge me $70 dollars for a alteration on a dress for my teenage daughter that wears a size small in clothes. I complained and they still charged me $60 dollars for alterations and no dry cleaning on a simple party dress, PLEASE!! Hands down one of the best Dry Cleaners in the area. I started going to Afton Cleaners around 8 years ago on and off. Now that I live in the Afton Area, they are my dry cleaners of choice. The know me now, don't ever ask for my number or information, and they super professional. Turn around time is around 36-48 hours. I also get all of my uniform shirts, pants, and coat altered at this location. NEVER had a problem. read more

I had two after 7 dresses and a a dressy satin top dry cleaned here. They charged me a same price for my top as the dresses because of the accessories attached to the top. I also had two denim shorts repaired. One had a zipper replaced and the other had a button replaced, but I also indicated I wanted the zipper replaced as well. When I picked up my items, I found out the zipper was not replaced on one pair of shorts. I was kinda of relieved in a way because the repair prices were misquoted and I was charged a whopping $28 for the zipper repair. Hence, I was not a happy camper! They apologized for the miscommunication but there is definitely a language barrier since they do not speak good English. I won't be bringing my business back here again . I dropped off a pair of Harley Davidson riding boots ($120) for a repair. When I came to pick them up, they told me that my father already picked them up. Not True. My father is 88, and never leaves his zip code, which happens to be over 500 miles away!!!!! Next they claimed I was trying to scam them, or perhaps someone else pulled a fast one, etc. Several months later, no boots, no compensation, only denials, and finger-pointing. You pay for quality work, alterations are expensive whenever you go. We do the ones I cannot do by myself once in a while, and everything is always done very professionally. I downloaded yelp just to make this review. I brought a bridesmaid dress here this afternoon (the dress was a size 14 - I wear a size 4 but I'm extremely busty and therefore needed to go that far up from my original size). I needed a few inches off the bottom - the seamstress knew this right away. But when I asked her to take some in on the waist and at the straps she told me it was impossible (she was holding an extra 3 inches of fabric at my waist in EACH hand). She also told me she couldn't sew a bra in. Tried to give me the run around how it would mess with the dress design (a plain dress). So obviously I left - went to a different store and the woman did everything I asked and more. Afton Cleaners are rude and don't know how to adjust to meet your needs. Go elsewhere. read more

We dropped off a pair of girls boots to have one zipper replaced/repaired. We asked for an estimate prior to having the work done. No estimate was provided and no phone call to advise us that the work was done. We were charged $20 to have one zipper replaced for a shoe that costed $25, we are not very happy with the customer service provided. We will not go there again for a shoe repair. read more

Very impressed with the work done. The heels on my boots and sandals were replaced and I had a pair of shoes stretched because they were too tight. The work was completed in 4 days as promised. This place is spot on. The lady who works there, she tries to remember all the customers and get our clothes ready to be picked up before we get to the cashiers desk. She is always smiling and really kind. Alterations are perfect too. There was one time when I came in, other customer was arguing with her talking about how hemming the pants cost more than dress pants. He bought the dress pants for $5.99 and asking her hemming the pants should cost lower than what he paid for his pants. Like really? Anyways, we had this one problem where my dress shirt was ripped around the cuff. She fixed it for free. I didn't know it was there or not, but she fixed it for free. Also, she always fixed my loose buttons for free. Very nice people run this place. Was bouncing around 3 different places dry cleaners around concord and find a perfect spot! Recommend to everyone. They even call you if you had forgotten to pick up your laundry. They always work with you. Haven't tried any shoe repairs but got couple of shoe shines free for going there often. read more
